The Tata Punch is the entry-level SUV offering from Tata Motors and is a popular product for the carmaker. The Tata Punch carries a starting price tag of Rs 6.12 lakh ex-showroom and is available with a sole 1.2-litre petrol engine with an optional CNG choice.
The Tata Punch is powered by a naturally aspirated 1.2-litre petrol engine that makes 87bhp and 115Nm of torque, mated to a manual or an AMT gearbox. The CNG version of the same engine makes 72bhp and 103Nm of torque.

The Tata Punch petrol manual returns a mileage of 20.9 kmpl, while the AMT version returns 18.8 kmpl. The Tata Punch CNG returns a mileage of 26,99 km/kg.
The Tata Punch features automatic headlights, alloy wheels, a sunroof, a 7-inch TFT instrument console, steering-mounted controls, cruise control, a 7-inch infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, rain-sensing wipers and more. For the segment, the Nexon is well-equipped.
The Tata Punch has secured a five-star safety rating by Bharat NCAP and Global NCAP. Other features include ABS with EBD, dual airbags, stability control, parking sensors and camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and ISOFIX child seat anchors amongst others.
The Tata Punch is priced between Rs 6.12 lakh and Rs 10.19 lakh, ex-showroom. The Punch is available in a total of 26 variants, which include petrol and CNG variants, along with manual and AMT gearbox choices.
