Aegis GoReady Travel Insurance Frequently Asked Questions
Do GoReady’s travel insurance plans cover Covid?
Aegis has plans that cover Covid-related medical expenses and trip cancellation, such as the GoReady Choice and Pandemic Plus plan.
If you contract Covid prior to your trip and have to cancel, these plans will reimburse you for 100% of what you lose in non-refundable trip deposits. And if you contract Covid during your trip, these plans cover associated medical expenses.
Do Aegis travel insurance plans cover pre-existing medical conditions?
Pre-existing medical condition exclusion waivers are available from Aegis. It’s a good idea to check your plan’s details to confirm this coverage.
This waiver means that pre-existing conditions won’t be excluded from your coverage. You can opt to buy a pre-existing medical condition exclusion waiver as an upgrade when you purchase the GoReady Choice plan, as long as you do so within 14 days of your initial trip deposit. The Pandemic Plus plan will cover pre-existing conditions if you buy the plan within 14 days of your first trip deposit (and this is the first and only booking for this travel period and destination). To get the waiver, you cannot be disabled in a way that prevents you from traveling when you pay the premium.
Can I add “cancel for any reason” coverage to Aegis plans?
Aegis offers the opportunity to add “cancel for any reason” travel insurance or “cancel for work reasons” coverage to your policy, depending on the plan.
“Cancel for any reason” coverage gives you the flexibility to cancel for a reason that’s not listed in your plan’s base trip cancellation reasons. For example, you could cancel your trip because you’d rather stay home and binge on Netflix.
“Cancel for work reasons” coverage gives you the flexibility to cancel your trip if you or your traveling partner have an unforeseeable work conflict, such as being notified you must work during your traveling dates or being directly involved in a merger or acquisition.
