This article is more than 3 years old.

What with all the ongoing 40th anniversary celebrations for Pac-Man, from toys to everything else, we’re also getting a pretty comprehensive collection of Pac-Man games.

Called Pac-Man Museum +, the collection will feature 14 games from the franchise. With these being Pac-Man, Super Pac-Man, Pac & Pal, Pac-Land, Pac-Mania, Pac-Attack, Pac-in-Time, Pac-Man Arrangement Arcade Ver., Pac-Man Arrangement CS Ver., Pac-Man Championship Edition, Pac-Motos, Pac ‘n Roll Remix, Pac-Man Battle Royale and Pac-Man 256.

Apart from the regular Pac-Man, I am looking forward to playing Pac-Mania again, but not so much on the rest.

To be honest, there are a fair few games in this collection that remind me how far the Pac-Mac series has gone to reinvent itself over the years, with many of those titles not working out at all.

One game is noticeably missing though and that’s the amazing Pac-Man Vs., which was recently included in Namco Museum. It’s likely this release that has had Bandai Namco avoid doubling on this new Pac-Man Museum+ release.

Pac-Man Vs. is really amazing though, as it’s a genius multiplayer games, where your friends take on the roles of the ghosts and have to catch you as Pac-Man.

It was originally released on the GameCube and needed friends with Game Boy Advances to play as the ghosts. So the setup was quite expensive and technical, something the Switch release mercifully streamlined.

Anyway, Pac-Man Museum+ is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch and PC early next year.
