If you cannot go to a gym right now that should not stop you from making sure you keep your body in good health, and good health starts with stretching! Stretching can reduce muscle tension, increase range of movement, enhance your muscular coordination, increase circulation of blood to various parts of your body and increase your overall energy level. Some of these stretches are similar to those of Sun Salutations.
Judi Somer, yoga group exercise instructor, stated,
“Sun Salutations are a perfect way to begin your day and one full round can be done in just a couple of minutes. It is super energizing, grounding and creates strength and flexibility in a mindful way. They make the rest of my day that much better.”
Remember to focus on your breathing and focus on your form when performing these exercises. If you have any questions, you can contact our Program Leader, Jenna at 708.733.7580
