Les Arcs

Ski resorts in France
If you want to ski in the French Alps, Les Arcs is an excellent choice. Les Arcs consists of four areas on different heights, all of which are located near the Italian border. Les Arcs is part of the ski area Paradiski, which means you can easily reach the relatively close ski resorts of La Plagne and Peisey-Vallandry by going on the cable car Vanoise Express. Just as you would expect from a ski area of the highest quality, there are lots of slopes of all difficulty levels to choose from. Here you will find a really long piste with one of the largest drops in Europe, the well-known Aiguille Rouge. The piste is seven kilometers long and the fall height is 2,050 meters. If you do not dare to take on this challenge, you have more than 200 other slopes to choose from. And we haven't even mentioned the awesome opportunities for off-piste ...
Les Arcs belong to Paradiski.

Best Off-Piste:
Powder-hounding off-pisters head straight for Aiguille Rouge or off the back of the Col de la Chal. Despite being overshadowed in this area by neighbouring La Plagne, you’ll still find plenty to keep you happy. Get a guide.

Best Black Run:
It has to be the massively long Aiguille Rouge black/red. Either get the Lanchettes lift up from Arc 2000 for the red or ski the black version of the same name from the cable car at the top of the glacier. Super long and finishes through the trees at Villaroger village.

Best Red Run:
Again from the cable car at Aiguille Rouge take the Arandelieres down the Glacier du Varet all the way round the bowl into Arc 2000. Great views down towards the resorts too.

Best Blue/Green:
I am a big fan of the long Mont Blanc blue from the top of Mont Blanc chair through the trees into Arc 1600 (particularly if you have just come down the black Deux Tetes from the summit). Otherwise, Villard or Grand Melezes from Arpette down to Arc 1800.
