Christmas Ham Glaze
Super easy glaze for one large ham.
A simple and traditional ham glaze.
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp whole cloves
- 1 cup Chelsea Dark Cane Sugar
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 1 tsp mustard powder
- 1/3 tsp ground cloves
Method
- Preheat the oven to 190°C (170°C fan forced).
- Remove the skin from the ham and score the fat in a diamond pattern.
- Press a clove into the middle of each diamond.
- To make the glaze, place the remaining ingredients in a small saucepan over a low heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Brush the ham with the glaze and bake for 40 minutes, adding more glazing every 10 minutes.
Handy Tip
To prevent the ham from sticking, pour 1/2 cup of wine into the baking dish.
