It was a beautiful weekend this past weekend! We decided to hop in the car and go for a Sunday drive instead of being cooped up at the house. It is springtime and well springtime in Texas means only one thing- you go Bluebonnet hunting.

For our drive we headed up towards Round Top, Tx. We spotted the beauties alongside the road just starting to flower. We thought that we may have been too early. |

I may have done a little happy dance when I got out of the car. |

Our Sunday drive made for a nice getaway. We had not been Bluebonnet hunting in a few years. I may try and head back up to Round Top during the week without my men while they are at school/work so I can do a little shopping. Its not even an hour and half drive. I would love to find some large old corbels and an old screen door. Hope everyone had a great weekend! We were out this weekend too and I just couldn't believe how many bluebonnets there are! I'd say all the rain we've had worked out well for us in the end. :)
ReplyDeleteYour photos are amazing.
Thank you Stacey! I was hoping to get out again since I know they have not peeked yet. I may have to take a little drive when my gus are at school and work.
DeleteI love seeing fields of bluebonnets! Thank you for sharing. If I lived near round top, I would surely go!
ReplyDeleteThank you Penny. They are dreamy and I may try and head up to RT even though it may be crowded now. I have been several other times and they have shows twice a year. You should come out to one!
