Is this material easily wrinkled?

I would say yes, it does tend to crease at the joints. In my opinion the fabric doesn't necessarily look terrible when wrinkled, it's a very thin fabric with an elegant sheen. A matter of personal opinion, but yes it does tend to wrinkle.
