The No. 9 South Carolina Gamecocks made short work of Arkansas and star forward A’ja Wilson reached another career milestone in a 90-42 victory on Thursday in Columbia.
Wilson scored 27 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, and added seven blocks as she eclipsed 1,000 career rebounds. With her 2,000 career points, she becomes just the second player in program history to achieve that feat (Sheila Foster, 1979-82).
Alexis Jennings notched her fifth double-double with 22 points, going a perfect 9-of-9 from the field, and collected 10 rebounds. Bianca Jackson joined in her double figures, putting up 16 points for the Gamecocks (17-3, 6-2 SEC).
Up next: South Carolina gets another crack at No. 11 Missouri, this time in the Real Columbia, on Sunday. It’s the first of three straight matchups against ranked teams, which includes a visit from No. 1 UConn Thursday followed by a trip to No. 2 Mississippi State.
