Geocache Description:

Little Lake Overlook

During the last ice age, glaciers formed in the Sierra Nevada. Meltwater from the glaciers pooled into large lakes, including Owens Lake and the Owens River. The river traveled through Indian Wells Valley, and its course was diverted several times by volcanic activity.
All the lava flows are basaltic. The Coso volcanic field brought flows from the north east and later Red Hill released the younger lava. The flows occurred between 400,000 years ago and 10,000 years ago

To log this cache, you will need to complete the following:
- Email the cache owner
(a) According to the Interpretive sign, where did the lava flow you are standing on originate from?
(b) According to the Interpretive sign, How log ago did the Lower Little Lake Ranch Lava flow occur?
- Post a picture of You and your GPS along with Little Lake in the background.
