The main Carmarthen Museum, in Abergwili, housed in the former palace of the Bishops of St Davids (until 1974).

Until 1975 a residence of the Bishop of St David's, more recently the county museum. This building is where the Bible was first translated into Welsh in the 1580s, and one of the first printings is on display.
