Former Elderslie Hotel - Largs, North Ayrshire
This building was originally a two storey square villa which was built in 1812. Miss Speirs of Elderslie bought it and enlarged the building by adding two wings.

Old subsea cable at Largs
The outer shielding has become worn and broken away over the years, revealing the insulation within. Presumably this particular cable (one of several in the Mackerston park area) is no longer used.
