Geograph - photograph every grid square

Riverside at Twickenham is subject to flooding at high tides from the Thames as seen here. This is the seating area of the White Swan and customers and staff were quite happy to paddle out and sit here. Fish could be seen swimming in the water in the foreground. The surprising feature is this was the hottest day of the year where there had been no rain for about two weeks and there was no wind. It makes one wonder what level the water reaches at high spring and autumn tides and when there has been heavy rainfall. For a more normal view see Link
