Harrogate station
The northern end of Harrogate central station. The signal box is just out of view on the right. Underneath this section runs the one arch. Coming into the station is a steam special bound for Scarborough, hauled by A4 pacific, 60007, Union of South Africa. On the right is shunting dolly H32 and on the gantry ahead signal H23 has been pulled off to give access to platform 3.
Harrogate Station
Harrogate station is located on the Harrogate Line 18.25 miles north of Leeds railway station. Northern Rail operate the station and provide nearly all passenger train services except a daily East Coast service to and from London Kings Cross.
The station opened in 1862.

Harrogate Line
The Harrogate Line is a rail line through parts of North Yorkshire and the West Yorkshire Metro area connecting Leeds to York by way of Harrogate and Knaresborough. The service is operated by Northern Rail, with a few additional workings by East Coast. Metro's bus and rail MetroCard ticket is available for journeys between Leeds and Harrogate. The line opened in 1848.
