Flintham Ploughing Match, Newton
An old Ferguson tractor.

Geograph member Jonathan Kington says, "This is an early Ferguson not Massey Ferguson. They were produced long before Massey came on the scene. For your information I am pretty sure it is a Ferguson Brown Model A, which were produced in the early 30's by David Brown tractors and sold by Harry Ferguson Ltd. They were the first tractors to have a three-point linkage fitted, which had been invented by Ferguson.
LinkExternal link makes quite interesting reading.
LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) has a picture of a Model A."
