Wolverhampton Low Level Station
Wolverhampton Low Level Station
Viewed here from the 'High Level' station, the Great Western Railway Low Level station was opened in 1854, constructed in striking blue bricks. It was closed to passengers in 1972 and parcel services ceased in 1981. After that the site remained derelict for over 30 years. It is now being redeveloped as the 'Bluebrick' development with an hotel and shops and restaurants.
