Built in the early 18th century for James Milham, a rich merchant. Sold in 1872 to local chemist William Kitchen.
Sold to the YMCA in 1901, and then remodelled. See NX9718 : Whitehaven YMCA (2006) & NX9717 : Former YMCA building, Whitehaven (2012).
