Yarn Bombing, Ross-on-Wye
This example is in the old Market Hall.
June the 11th is apparently "International Yarn Bombing Day". To celebrate this, knitting and crochet works appeared all around the centre of Ross-on-Wye. I believe there are 187 examples in all!
Yarn bombing (or yarnbombing) is a type of graffiti or street art that employs colourful displays of knitted or crocheted yarn or fibre rather than paint or chalk.
