The 'Golden Boys' are back
After a period of storage while work has been taking place in Centenary Square, these statues have returned. They stand on Broad Street and were sculpted by William Bloye in 1956, depicting the three industrialists, Matthew Boulton (1728-1809), James Watt (1736-1819) and William Murdoch (1754-1839). It now stands on the opposite side of the road to where it was previously, in the corner of Centenary Square near the New Symphony Hall. The Library of Birmingham is in the background.
