Statue of Boulton, Watt and Murdoch
Gilded bronze statue on Broad Street by William Bloye in 1956. This statue of the three industrialists, Matthew Boulton (1728-1809), James Watt (1736-1819) and William Murdoch (1754-1839) is in Centenary Square, Birmingham. In a time when life expectancy was lower than today it is interesting to note that all three of these men lived into their eighties.
