taken 2 years ago, near to Brixton, Lambeth, England

Brockwell Park covers approximately 50 hectares (124 acres) in the London Borough of Lambeth to the south of Brixton. There are ancient oaks, lawn areas, meadow land and lakes within its hilly terrain. Amenities include a walled garden, a lido, sports facilities and a miniature railway. The park surrounds Brockwell Hall, built 1811-13, which was the country seat of John Blades, a wealth London glass merchant. London County Council acquired the land in 1891, opening it to the public the following year, and a northern extension was added in 1901. Today the park hosts the annual Lambeth Country Show as well as a number of other events.
