River Lane connects Randalls Road with Fetcham village: the northern part is Leatherhead byway open to all traffic 145, and the southern part is residential road D2566, but the crossing in the middle over the River Mole, known as 'The Splash' or Oldmill Bridge, is closed to vehicles. Oldmill Bridge was formerly a ford across the river, with a long footbridge for pedestrians.
