Choice of College

After enrollment, the candidates must submit their colleges and courses/program choices via the JoSAA counselling candidate login. The candidates must choose the institutions and courses according to their liking, as they will be considered in the seat assignment session. The final allotment, however, is merit-based.

Dual Reporting in JoSAA 2025 Counselling

The candidate must report to the centre twice under JoSAA 2025 counselling. It will only be applicable if the allotment has been upgraded at some rounds of JoSAA counselling. If the candidates were first allocated a seat at the NITs and upgraded to IITs or any other institute, then the candidates will have to report for IIITs and the NIT rounds.

Simply put, if a candidate's seat is changed from IIT to NIT+system and vice versa, they must report at both reporting centres one after the other to ensure their admission is confirmed. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the applicant's candidature.

JoSAA 2025 Opening and Closing Rank

JoSAA counselling opening and closing ranks will be announced after the seat allotment results. Candidates can check the previous year's JoSAA counselling opening and closing rank to know how the rank this year will be.
