THRUPP, SYLVIA LETTICE.  Appointed for an analysis of the theoretical assumptions regarding social structure and the ethical teaching associated with this theory, in the writings of Albertus Magnus, St. Thomas Aquinas, and Duns Scotus; tenure, twelve months from September 1, 1945.

Born 1903, in England. Education:  University of British Columbia, B.A., 1925; M.A., 1929; University of London, Ph.D., 1931. Social Science Research Council Fellow, 1934–35.

High School teacher, 1926–28; Assistant in History, 1928–29; Instructor, 1935—, University of British Columbia.

Publications:  A Short History of the Worshipful Company of Bakers, 1933. Contributor to Studies in English Trade in the Fifteenth Century, 1933. Articles in British Columbia Historical Quarterly, Journal of Economic History, Speculum.
