Sadly, on June 8, 2018, he was found dead of an apparent suicide in his hotel room in Strasbourg, France. His CNN series, Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, won 12 Emmy Awards, and received 31 nominations. It received a prestigious Peabody Award, in 2013. Bourdain also participated as a guest on Bravo’s Top Chef and as a main judge on Top Chef All-Stars.

He authored more than a dozen books, including Kitchen Confidential, which was adapted as a TV sitcom, starring Bradley Cooper.

Bourdain’s love for traveling, good food and drinks made him a wonderful storyteller.
