Rami Kashou (‘Project Runway’) on who he thinks he should have replaced in the finale 3 [WATCH]

“I did use my Siriano Save on him, and I stand by my decision,” said Christian Siriano when he interviewed Rami Kashou on the “Project Runway” after show. Siriano and Kashou competed together in the fourth season of the reality competition series. Siriano won that season and has since returned to the show as a mentor. Kashou returned for season 20’s special “All-Stars” edition and was eliminated twice: in “Uncut Hems” Siriano vetoed the judges’ decision and kept Kashou around, but in “The Sky’s the Limit” Kashou was ousted for good. Watch their interview above.

“I’m more comfortable with who I am and what I’m doing,” Kashou explained of how the 15 years since the fourth season have changed him and why he decided to come back to the show. “During our season I feel like I didn’t really have a chance to share more openly about myself because you don’t often see people like me in my position, a Christian Palestinian from my culture doing what I’m doing here in the States.”

Considering the three designers who will show their collections in the finale episode, Kashou asserted that Bishme Cromartie deserves to win, but that Laurence Basse just might beat him out for the grand prize. As for who’s left in the competition but should have been eliminated, Kashou thinks that “maybe I would have taken Brittany‘s spot. I think I would have showed an amazing collection.” Do you agree with him about the final three? Do you think he should have been among that trio? Vote in our polls below to let us know.

  1. The judges thought that Bishme’s dress was referential, but that his hat was unique and very interesting. It was SIRIANO who guided Bishme to do something something special with the visor that was too similar to this design used earlier in one of his previous designs. SIRIANO suggested specifically changing the hat, it’s placement on the model’s head and perhaps with a hole for the eye. The judges specifically mentioned the visor as the most original part of Bishme’s design and chose him based on that. Bishme then took full credit for Siriano’s design suggestion. That was really crappy and possibly knocked Rami out of the finale. It turned me off Bishme and Project Runway.

    1. SIRIANO has given critiques to all of the designers throughout the show and some agree and follow through and others don’t. I’ve never heard one designer say”oh Christian said I should so this or that.” Ots completely their decision. Furthermore how did Brittney get to stay when 3 judges said her design was NOT, I repeat NOT avant garde!

  2. I was absolutely sick and disappointed that the “judges” chose Brittney over Rami to go into the final!! Her coat WAS NOT avant garde nor very original. How can those “judges” live with themselves?!
