This Book is a Super Plus length novel--129,000 words long

One Woman, Two Hot Guys, A Galaxy of Problems...

Kat O’Connor is no pushover. She’s a no nonsense girl with a commonsense approach to life. But there’s nothing common about what’s happening to her lately…

First she was forced to have a kinky mind ménage with two of the hottest and most irritating men in the galaxy—Twin Kindred warriors, Deep and Lock—in order to locate her kidnapped friend. Then she couldn’t get their feelings out of her head. And now she’s on her way to their home planet, Twin Moons, to find a cure for the debilitating illness their unorthodox joining caused, when all she really wants to do is go home.

Locks Tight, the light twin of the two, is already in love with Kat. Her curvy plus-sized body is the epitome of beauty on his home planet and her sharp mind makes her doubly attractive. But though he fell for her the moment he saw her, Twin Kindred are unable to mate a woman alone. Lock knows nothing can happen between them without his brother…

Stabs Deep. The dark twin has a secret agony in his past—a tragedy he feels he and he alone is to blame for. He too, hungers for Kat, but he hides his fear of rejection behind an impenetrable wall of angry sarcasm. For if he lets anyone get too close, the unbearable pain he has already endured once may happen again.

Now Kat and her twin warriors are on a quest—but they’re all looking for different things. Kat wants to find a way to dissolve the half-formed bond between them so she can be alone in her own head again. Lock wants to convince both her and his brother to complete the bond which will keep them together forever. And Deep is trying to protect his heart and love Kat from afar…though it grows more and more difficult to deny the hunger he feels for her growing inside him.

Their travels will take them from the uncharted wilds of Twin Moons to the Deadworld of the Scourge home planet. Will Kat find a cure for having other people’s emotions crowding her mind? Will Lock convince his brother and the woman they both love that they’re all meant to be together forever? And will Deep ever unshield his heart long enough to let Kat in?

You’ll have to read Sought, the third book in the Brides of the Kindred series, to find out…

Evangeline Anderson is a registered MRI tech who would rather be writing. And yes, she is nerdy enough to have a bumper sticker that says “I’d rather be writing.” Honk if you see her! She is thirty-something and lives in Florida with a husband, a son, and two cats. She had been writing erotic fiction for her own gratification for a number of years before it occurred to her to try and get paid for it. To her delight, she found that it was actually possible to get money for having a dirty mind and she has been writing paranormal and Sci-fi erotica steadily ever since.

The second star is for making me laugh - in a bad way, but still. The first star is for the dubious honor of being one of the most eye-roll-inducing books I've read in a loooooooong time. Let's discuss!
Heroine is "smart" and "funny" but overweight and feels unappreciated on Earth. Two "hot" aliens want to make her their lov-ah because obese girls are called "elites" on their planet and they've both got boners for her annoying ass. Heroine can't, like, deal, because zomg! Decisions are HARD and the "light" twin seems nice but the "dark" twin gives her a frowny face because he is soooo difficult! So of course she falls on their combined dick. Because apparently their dicks twine like pretzels or some shit so they can have sex with their "elite." The twisty-twined dick sex was enabled by a special fruit that the size queen ate to make her stretchy. Blech.
This was then followed by angsty angst for approximately 7,000 pages as the "dark" twin moped about and made super-dramatic decisions affecting everyone without communicating and without considering any repercussions. But don't worry! His mistakes are completely reversed moments later in a beautiful deus ex machina moment (except in this case I believe the machine was antithetical to the god and the god wanted to destroy the machine as heretical, so this is almost punny). Love and happiness abound at the end!

I have to ask, why am I the only person who notices bizarre penis stuff in romance? First it was the penis eating in Love Bites, now it's penis merging. The penises of our twin heroes literally become one humongous shlong when they have sex with their mate. Even aside from the obvious weirdness of penises merging, I can't get my mind around the logistics of it. It sounds incredibly uncomfortable for all concerned. Yet I didn't see one other reviewer mention this.

(And it just occurred to me -- who would really prefer a terrifyingly huge shlong to what you might potentially accomplish with two penises? Different strokes, I suppose. Heh.)

Also, I was very unthrilled with the treatment of the indigenous people of the Twin Moon world, summed up as "superstitious, ignorant savages." Classy.

Other than that, this was pretty much the Kindred recipe as before, summed up fairly well in this graphic, gross extremely NSFW lolporn (you have been warned!):

(There's not actually any buttsecks in this one (for obvious reasons!) but the idea is the same.)

You know what I have discovered? These heroines are a crazy bunch, I mean you have GOT to be, if you have two guys wanting to share you both extremely hot, extremely hung and extremely hung up on you, would you run off? No! If that were me I would be sticking to them like glue, you wouldn't be able to pry me off with out an industrial sized prying thingy! I don't think some of these heroines deserve such amazing guys.

So now that I have finally got that off my (heaving) bosoms I can now talk more sense about this book. It starts pretty much where it left off in Hunted with Kat in serious trouble with only the Twin Kindred Locks Hard and Stabs Deep able to save her. But much to Kat's horror they discover the only way to save her life is to bond fully with her, something that Kat is reluctant to do. After sharing thoughts with them she knows that Deep hates her and she can't bear to spend the rest of her life mated with someone who seems to resent her. Little does she know that Deep could never hate Kat and he infact loves her as much as his brother Lock. If only he could stop hating himself, he has already caused the death of one bride and he is determined never to harm Kat.

As you can guess from mini rant at the top there, I really liked Locks Hard and Stabs Deep, like the other Kindred they make fantastic mates, and in the case of Twin Kindreds it is bargain two for the price of one! I found myself really falling for Deep the moody twin, he really was a tortured hero and I found myself waxing from wanting to hug him, wanting to boink his brains out and from wanting to bash his brains out for not just talking to Kat directly about things!

As for Lock the other half of the Twin Kindred, what a sweetheart! As the light twin he is natually more lighthearted and laid back and very lovable. Put Lock and Deep together and like I said JUST TRY AND GET ME OFF THEM!

What I also loved about this book was the story line involving Xairn the son of the All Father. I seriously cannot wait to read his book, Ms Anderson has done a fabulous job of setting it up over the last three books and I cannot wait for him to finally find some happiness.

I really enjoy this series, it is hot, funny and I enjoy reading them immensly, I keep hoping now for an alien abduction so I can find a Kindred of my own! Twin Kindred please!

Girls Guide to the Kindred:

Beast Kindred aka Fuckably Feral Aliens- Savage in battle these dark, brooding warriors from Rageron bring their passion and intensity to the bedroom. They possess a very special endowment that ensures every sexual experience is a tantric one.

Blood Kindred aka Space Vampire Aliens-Cold as ice to their enemies, these tall, blond warriors from Tranq Prime warm up when they find the right woman. But be careful...they bite.

Twin Kindred aka Menage a HOT Aliens-Muscular and rugged, these warriors from Twin Moons always come in pairs and cannot be separated. They experience physical pain when parted from each other...or the one woman they both choose to love. (MY FAVOURITE!!)

Really not a fan of menage à trois, but I found the Kat character interesting and wanted to know more about the brothers, Lock and Deep. The Twin Kindred all have super odd names that sound like bad Native American names, but luckily they abbreviate them to something sort of nickname-ish.

Kat, who didn't annoy me, accidentally bounds with Lock & Deep in order to save her friend, Sophia, (waste to save that one), in the previous book and now she's connected to the guys psychically and feels their emotions. This is not only not fun, it's causing her pain and she doesn't want to go M/F/M to complete the bond (forever) and is an option to take away the pain. In order to break the mind bond, they have to go to the Twin Moons planet and get an old lady priestess to help.

The whole book is Lock being the nicest guy ever, Kat being cool with her situation, and Deep being the biggest asshole possible. Lock is the light and nice twin, Deep is the dark and gloomy twin. Deep has past pain, blah blah blah, so he's a douche to Kat. And Kat, naturally doesn't want to be double donged by men hung like horses. She'd like to keep all her lady parts in lady parts land, but she does get frisky with them to alleviate her pain (only way, can you tell this is an erotic romance?)

I liked this book more than others because a)Kat didn't annoy me, b) more adventure, c) I liked Xairn's POV. Still skipped any parts with Sophia and Liv, as they're both annoying and boring, but otherwise, an ok book. Lots of drama because of Deep being a douche and Kat not wanting to double dong down, but Lock made it tolerable. Liked the ending action & adventure part the best and appreciated a heroine who wasn't jumping for joy that she was going to be double teamed, seemed more realistic? in a very out of reality book.

Good villain. My 3 star rating is mainly for Kat not annoying me and Xairin.

4.5 Stars.

Gack. Heartstrings... they hurt.

Another awesome book in one of my new favourite series. Mmmhm. I mean, I liked Deep going into it, from the first books... but damn. Yeah. Tortured, prideful guy? I'm allthefuck over that like white on rice. Oh man.

Definitely not enough Sylvan up in there (yep, he's still my special favourite... thus far), but all the Deep drama made up for it.

These books are crack. I don't know what's gotten into me but oh mah gawd I canna stop reading them. And now I've got to go load up books four and five because the lead up to the next book has me raring to know what is going to happen next. And well, I think I might like Xiarn a lot. So I must read it right now. Work be damned ;)

Seriously. If you like smut ('cause damn it was allthefuck over the place in this book... in a very great way), and big ass mostly human 'alien' dudes, check this out. Right nao.

Off to read the next one - by Friday I'm hoping (and not really hoping as well) to have 'em all done!

I enjoyed this story. I had fun reading about the Twins, I found it very original, although a bit wear since the twins are well, twins and this is a MMF romance.
I am definitely a fan of this series now, and I will continue with the next installments.

Main characters: Locks Tight, Stamps Deep and Kat
Type of Kindred bonding: Twin Kindred

If you manage to survive reading about a few awkward sex scenes that involve a bonding fruit, a wooden stick, a fifilalachuchu blossom and some weird fusing during the bonding ceremony, this is actually a more than desent sci-fi romance.
Twin Moons is a planet that worships threesomes and plus size girls.
Kat is like a Supermodel for twin brothers Lock and Deep who fall madly in love with her.
But Kat has her inferiority complex concerns (she cannot understand why two gorgeous guys whould ever be interested in her) and some family concerns, while Deep has his own problems that involves an old potential mate. As a result, they both fight like a cat and dog while Lock is trying to make them accept that deep down they are crazy in love.

I really loved the bad guys in this book, since it is really hard to find in romance books solid bad characters. There are plenty of bad guys worth mentioning:

1. The ultimate bad guy: Allfather
A mixture of Davros from Dr Who and Darth vader from Star Wars. A perfect, totally horrible villain.
2. The bad guy's minions: The Alpha guards
Like Terminators they cannot be destroyed no matter what
3. The misunderstood bad guys: The hostile natives of Twin Moons
The love scene in the holly meadow was hilarious.
4. The desent, deep-down-nice bad guy: Xairn
He will have his HEA with Lauren in the next book
5. The Holier-than-Thu priestess: Mother L'Rin
A holy person who cannot forgive.

Summary
Sought (Brides of the Kindred) is book three in the Earth Girls are Stupid series. This series of books is intertwined so they cannot be read independently. The heroine, Kat, is a plus size girl who uses twins Deep and Lock when she wants to help her friends then treats them like lepers the rest of the time. There are unintentional side effects to their previous assistance efforts which threaten Kat's life, but that is still not enough to convince her to have sex with them. Her fear of a menage experience combined with pseudo Victorian morals is odd for a supposedly modern woman who claims to be very no nonsense. When pushed, Kat uses the excuse she fears relationships because her parents fought when she was a child. What does that have to do with hot sex with drool worthy aliens? Sought is not worth the $2.99 cover price at all, and is also not worth your time.

Fantasy World
Sought exists in a sci fi world where aliens battle it out in the space around Earth. The twins and Kat take a journey to their home world which is filled with wonderful and very random things including a tribe of savages wearing leaves.

Tingle Factor
The unresolved sexual tension is beyond outrageous. At one point the twins each HAVE to penetrate Kat for a religious ceremony but promise her not to orgasm although they are happy to help her do so. This has to be the most explosive case of blue balls about which I have ever read.

Romance
The twins supposedly love Kat and express this by suffering sexual torment at her behest. Kat spends most of the book expressing lukewarm affection for one twin and hatred for the other.

Drama
Sought's drama derives from the main characters' endless hunt for overly ornate and dangerous solutions to a problem which could easily be solved by having sex. Added is the misplaced guilt one twin carries for a previous, almost relationship gone horribly wrong. The angst is so pointless it's more annoying than dramatic.

Heroine
Kat is the best friend of previous series heroines Olivia and Sophie. They treat each other as sisters which includes encouraging self destructive behavior and the abuse of others. Kat is a plus size girl who has been the object of much derision on Earth, but her super curvy attributes are the ideal on the twin's home world. Kat can't make the mental adjustment to desirable, and derides herself at every opportunity. Her other main issue is that the twins' genetic composition requires they both have vaginal penetrative sex with their mate at the same time to complete their bond. Kat can't even let herself think about such a horrific idea and apparently is unable to access the internet to view thousands of pictures of other women enjoying double penetration. She also doesn't talk to the other hundreds of Twin Kindred brides who have had the double penetration experience to see if they enjoyed it. No, it's better to stick your head in the sand even while suffering debilitating pain and a life threatening illness.

Heroes
Lock and Deep are the twins who accidentally bond to Kat. Lock's major purpose seems to be acting as the anti-Deep and he doesn't really have any other real personality. Deep's main characteristic is self hatred which he spews liberally until it's challenging for even readers to like him. The only other thing the twins do is try to sexually heal Kat without obtaining any satisfaction for themselves.

Book set in space for the MacHalo Reading Challenge.

Okay, the results are in. The Scourge are definitely the highlight of this series. The overall plot is compelling enough to make me want to binge read this series and I have the feeling that once that is resolved I'll loose interest. The threesome of this book have great chemistry. Too bad that between all three of them there like 2 brain cells. Why do they don't talk to each other??? You would think that because they're capable of feeling each others emotions they'll be more open to honest communication. But no! Again half of this book could have been skipped if they talked to each other instead of just snapping and deliberately misunderstanding each other.

I liked the Twin Moon planet and the legend about the origins of their peculiar biology. Talking about biology - Before someone says something, this is just my opinion and if you disagree that's your right. Just as it's mine to think it's stupid.

As with the previous two books, we got introduces to the couple that will be featured in the next book and I'm hyped for them. Xairn got my attention from book one and getting to know him better and his Scourge nature is something I'm looking forward to.

I really enjoyed the progression of the plot lines in this book. I just hated the “issues” of Kat and the twins. Seriously, super hot guys want you!! Get over it and get busy with them! I never really understood her reasons for holding back with them, it was flimsy at best. Beyond that, the Scourge plot was fascinating. There was so much happening in that dynamic. Finally, we get much more of the backstory with these guys and the Kindred. I hope there is more to come on that front!

The steam here was much like the other books in the series. Lots of foreplay and teasing, mating doesn’t happen until the end. All the repetition in the grouping gets daunting. Kay and Deep are stubborn beyond belief, poor Lock! BTW, what is up with the blatantly sexual names of all these twins!

The mixed narrative, was good to get into the heads of everybody, as annoying as they were at times. The supporting characters were more interesting to me than the leads. This was not my favorite grouping, however, I have hope the next book will be much better. If the story hints are any indication it will be a deep book!

Anne Johnstonbrown does a fantastic job with the narration of the audiobook. She has a fast pace in the read and plenty of great energy. She made the slower parts of the story move nicely. Her tone is smooth and flows beautifully with the series. I do hope she will keep with the books!

The Twin Moons world was much stranger than I expected. Um… mating fruit sounds dangerous! I have liked that this book and the last one took us to their worlds and gave a taste of the men’s cultures. It makes the world creature all the more creative and engaging.

I really hope the series progresses past the unending struggle of the women deciding to mate with the ridiculously hot and sweet aliens. Seriously, I would be all over that and then some!

Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Plot/Storyline: 📖📖📖📖
Feels: 🦋🦋
Emotional Depth: 💔💔💔
Sexual Tension: ⚡⚡⚡
Romance: 💞💞💞💞
Sensuality: 💋💋💋💋
Sex Scene Length: 🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑
Steam Scale (Number of Sex Scenes): 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Humor: Yes
Perspective: There’s quite a few perspectives here including Lock, Deep, Kat, the enemy of the prior book (who is the hero of the next book), and the heroine of the next book, and even prior main characters of the series. It’s written in third person.
Cliffhanger: As far as this main couple, no, it ends with a HEA. But there are still events unfolding from other characters in the book. (the next book's main couple has page time here and their story begins here and feels a bit like a cliffhanger.)
Format: e-book checked out through kindle unlimited

(These are all personal preference on a scale of 1-5 (yours ratings may vary depending what gives you feels and how you prefer you sex scenes written, etc) except the Steam Scale which follows our chart from A Love Less Ordinary )

Should I read in order?
Yes! These books really flow together and many of these characters have already had their point of views in prior books and their story has already begun in prior books including some levels of intimacy.

Basic plot:
Kat has a threeway with 2 alien Twin Kindred to find her friend in book 2 and suddenly she’s bonded and doesn’t know if she wants to stay that way

Give this a try if you want:
- Science fiction romance – Earth has a relationship with aliens to help protect them and there is a bride exchange program in place
- Higher technology (future)
- Road trip feel – Earth and alien planets
- heroes nurse heroine back to health
- full figured heroine
- MFM romance
- mental and emotional bonds between the 3 of them
- plenty of dirty talking from the heroes
- SUPER protective/possessive heroes
- toys! A touch of exhibitionism
- lots of ‘all will be lost unless we fuck’ vibes
- higher steam – 5 full scenes that are plenty long and detailed

My thoughts:
I wanted to love this book so, so badly. When I first started it – I did! I thought it was going to be my favorite of the series so far. But, it dwindled for my by about halfway and I left it for a few months. I picked it back up again today and sadly liked the second half even less than the first half.

First – the things I liked. I love that it’s science fiction in third person. Being a long term HistRom reader, I just love third person so much and prefer that writing style. I loved the sex. LOVED. The scenes were really great with plenty of details and explicitness but also lots of focus on the emotion which is what I prefer. This book also had quite a few tropes I really liked.

But...what didn’t work for me. I….cannot stand….a plethora of POVs. I want main characters and that’s it. And in this one there’s a crazy amount of people’s heads your in. Past characters...future characters...bleh it drives me nuts. (This is personal and won’t bother most people!). I also disliked that their story started in a prior book. Yes, I read it, but I love when each book focuses on a couple. So you definitely start this book with their relationship started already.

I had a few issues with the writing style...Anderson’s characters can come off as a bit sarcastic and immature to me. I was also extremely disappointed in Deep in the second half and the little fit he threw. Also I really disliked the twins names and I didn’t like they called Kat “my lady” all the time.

Overall, I think this book is really fun at its heart and has some great sex. If you are in the mood for something a bit ridiculous maybe give this one a try. I personally just got caught up on some things that weren’t for me and I couldn’t get past it.

Sought by Evangeline Anderson
#3 Brides of Kindred Series

This is the third book in the series and follows Kat (Olivia’s friend from Book 1 & 2) and the twin Kindred men Deep and Lock. In book #2 we saw Kat make a temporary bond with the two men in a desperate attempt to find her missing friend but now the bond that saved her friend is slowly killing her.

Deep and Lock take Kat to a healer back on their home planet for guidance but the cure for Kat is not what she was anticipating.

Kat is not your typical heroine, although she is smart and funny she is also very curvy, but lucky for Kat as on Lock and Deeps planet, woman of her size are called "elites"and are highly sought after.

Deep and Lock have complete opposite personalities, Deep is dark and broody and possessive whereas Lock is sweet, nice and gentle the only thing they can agree on is that they both want Kat.
Will Kat find her cure or will she have to complete the bonding ritual to survive? Who will she choose in the end?

description

MY THOUGHTS:
Holy hell! This is most definitely NOT a hearts and flowers romance. This is the first time I have read a book that is M/M/F and to be honest it was not for me. There was weird fruit, corny exchanges and some real smutty dialogue to the point it was quite comical.

There were some entertaining elements throughout the book with various re occurring characters from series like Liv and Sophia which I enjoyed but I just couldn’t connect with Kat and her twin Kindred. Their names were ridiculous and I found it off putting.

Let’s talk about sex for a minute here. This is seriously some bizarre kinky, weird arse alien sex happening in this book. What an imagination Evangeline has to have come up with this. One would assume two men would mean someone’s going to be knocking at Kat’s back door but that’s actually not the case and you would not even begin to guess what seriously strange and brow creasing things evolve.

Expect the unexpected!

I have not been fully deterred from the series though as Book#4 sounds tempting as we are given a small taste of what to expect from Xairn and Lauren’s story. I do hope it is more like book#2 than this one.

PLOT RATING: 2

Not much to say hear folks. Author stays true to the previous formula of having an annoying heroine. I must say though, the writing was a little better and a tab bit more complex (not much). Also, I like the fact that the twins LOVE LOVE LOVE plus size women and that the whole planet worships plus size women. That's a refreshing change. Also, it dawned on me as I was reading this, there are so many lonely women on Earth, why not ask for volunteers. There are enough brides to vouch for the wonderfulness of these marriages,so instead of getting these women who are "forced" into these relationships, try someone willing. Also, you would think that since there is a genetic trade going on, the women would be better informed on what to expect. A pamphlet, or a health class kinda like "what to expect if you are drafted" kind of class. I mean, really, you gotta know that although there are some differences, they are humanoid and will not sexually kill you. Stupid girls!! Throughout the whole book, the whole series for that matter, the women are downright slappable when it comes to the things that they won't tolerate (or won't allow their friends to tolerate). SHUT UP!!! Anyway, I would loan this book to that same bored friend that borrowed the first two. TTFN-Sandy

I read this a while back. But I noticed it wasn't marked as read. Crazy. I enjoyed this book. I thought Kat was funny and strong. I love the yin and yang of the twins, as well as the growth of it all. I love the stretchy fruit. If you read it, yiu'll know what I mean. Very funny book as well. Kat is plus sized and therefore revered on Twin Moons. Every set of twins wants her. It's funny to watch that unfold.

Atone looking for an affordable, fun, sexy series. I always recommend this one! :)

100th book of 2021! This book was a little bit of a mixed bag for me. Even though I wanted to read Kat's book with the two twins, I was also fascinated by Nadiah so I almost skipped this book and book 4 to read Nadiah's. But I saw in the questions that I would be confused if I skipped this one. These books take forever to read, just saying. Like I started this Friday night and now it's Sunday afternoon...sure, I've been busy, but I spent hours reading it on Friday night. I don't know why these books are taking me so long to read...I read 400-page books all the time and they take more time but still...confused

Mixed bag because the beginning was promising (okay, this story and plot had A LOT of potential...2 alien guys?! Sign me up.) and when they were at the planet Twin Moons in the beginning, it was 4 stars...Then the middle I got frustrated with Kat and the push and pull between her and Deep, so I was starting to think 2 stars. Then, when they visited the Scourge's planet...the book picked up again and got exciting, so 4 stars again. So overall a 3 star read.

This book picks up right after Book 2 ends with Kat fainting and deeply ill after forming an incomplete bond with the twins Deep & Lock after being their focus in an effort to locate Sophie on the astral plane. (This book made me interested in astral projection again, but I'm a little afraid to try it...like how you do you return to your body? Not sure if I could do it, and hours could be going by while I astral projected.) The three go to Mother L'rin, the ancient healer, on the twin's home planet of Twin Moons for help.

I was looking at some of the other reviews and I agree with them: Kat's got these 2 gorgeous men who are in love with her, but she isn't sure if she wants to be with them. Like, get over yourself. On their planet, all the women are supermodel thin because the food there is super healthy or something, so being plus-sized is considered "elite" and highly desirable. Kat is plus-sized & Deep and Lock lusting over her eliteness in both this book and the previous one was quite amusing. However, Kat's afraid because there are two of them and the bonding sex is supposed to be weird (both of their dicks merge into one to penetrate her), and also her parents' marriage was really bad. I still don't understand how Kat preferred them to penetrate her with a wooden dildo rather than just their penises (to put her out of her discomfort after accidentally gorging on the bonding fruit, which stretches the girls' vaginas so they can do bonding sex w Twin Kindred)...like which do you think is more comfortable?!
Also, Deep kept pushing her away because he was also scared and being an asshole to her, which was annoying. Even though all 3 communicated to each other, Deep wasn't really telling the truth, and this led to a lot of miscommunication. A lot of the book could have been cut out, for example, the whole trip to the Scourge planet, if they had all spoke from their hearts.

However, Deep had a few instances where he was really swoony.
“That I do love you. Oh, Kat…I’ve been such a fool. Such a Goddess damned fool when it comes to you.” His voice was hoarse with emotion.

I still have some questions on the Twin Kindred: what happens if one of the twins dies? if only one twin likes the girl or vice versa? who is the father of the kid? do the girls ever like one better than the other? lol

Also, why is Olivia, Sophie, and other Kindred brides (I'm assuming) still living on the Mothership just floating through space? What is the purpose of their lives then? Don't they want to live on a planet maybe? How big is this space shuttle? Won't it eventually run out of room as more human brides are called to space to be Brides of the Kindred???

I feel like this book had fewer sex/intimate scenes than Book 2, but I will still classify it as erotica. And similarly to Book 2 and 14 (which I read before book 2 and this), there are only one or two actual vaginal sex scenes... Kinda disappointed there weren't as many menage scenes, though I liked the last one with the viewfinder (mirror).

Like the last book, my favorite scenes in this book were when the human female was interacting with society on her male's home planet.

Oh, and I swear I read another sci-fi book where the heroine was named Kat O'Connor! And it was also a menage!

I have to admit that I am struggling to figure out a rating for this instalment. Like the last book it was equally plot and smut driven which I really enjoyed. I think there is good world building in the series and I do actually want to know more plot wise (even though there are times when it get a little corny but let's face it some of the best sci-fi is!).

The characters that we focus on in Sought Kat, Deep and Lock are ones that I really enjoy and I like reading about them. On the other side to that there were times when the angstyness got a bit too angsty and I was not really sure what Kat's issue was. Kat liked the brothers when she first seen them, her two best friends were bonded (or in the process of bonding) with Kindred warriors so it wasn't as if she had any huge concerns regarding their previously believed prejudices and her and Deep only started bickering when she was being standoffish with them. At times it felt like emotional distancing for the sake of creating conflict in the plot. Which wasn't needed because there were plenty of other things going on!

A shout out has to be made to the naming of Twin Kindred, sheer genius and I loved on Twin Moon when Kat was being introduced to new people. I literally got so excited waiting to see what their names would be!

I love the differences in the Kindred Warriors and I have to admit that I enjoyed the Twin Kindred and their planet seemed nice. The sex scenes were hot and I liked the dynamic of both the brothers during steamy scenes. There were just a couple of times when things seemed a little odd on the streamy side but I could forgive those because overall I was into it.

As you can see I am conflicted, I keep bouncing between 3 stars and 4 stars but for the time being I think I am going to go with 3 stars and I will review again once I have read a few more books in this series and can compare them more.

Sought is the eagerly awaited third book in the Brides of Kindred series by Evangeline Anderson and it doesn’t disappoint. For those new to the series, it’s highly recommended that you read both Claimed and Hunted first. You’ll be delighted that you did because these books are wonderful.
I’m not normally a reader of sci fi/fantasy but Ms Anderson is an excellent story teller and the reader can’t help but be intrigued by the worlds that she’s created. Her heroines are smart and sassy, her heroes true alpha males and she utilises both her great sense of humour and her incredible imagination to bring vividness to every aspect of the novel. I don’t intend to give details of the plot here, since I don’t like giving out spoilers. I will say that this book ticks every box. There are seriously hot sex scenes but more importantly true romance. I’m as big a fan of sex scenes as everyone else but romance has to be the key ingredient for me. Not every author can pull that off but Evangeline Anderson can. Underlying all of that is a really good adventure story that manages to be both tense and emotional. Not easy for an author to achieve these either but again Ms Anderson doesn’t let the reader down. I found myself urging the characters on in their adventure, holding my breath as the tension grew. The love scenes are equally enthralling. There is a delicious naughtiness as the heroine is coaxed into exploring beyond her fears. The subtle dominance of one twin evened out by the loving tenderness of the other make for some really hot scenes.
There’s a wonderful whimsicality going on too. The names of the sub characters made me laugh, the misunderstandings caused by the lack of a translator make for some very funny scenes and the whole quirkiness of the various worlds intrigues and delights.
The overarching story of all three books in the series develops further leading the way for a fourth book which I personally can’t wait for. Hurrah for another book in this series!!!! Buy this book, buy the other two books too and get ready to buy the fourth. After that, buy them for your friends. Every fan of romance should have a copy of the Brides of Kindred series.

Finished Reading February 12, 2016 –

Sought by Evangeline Anderson
Genres: Adult, Erotica, Romance, Sci-fi, Suspense
3.5 stars.

I hoped it would be at least 4 stars. Unfortunately, Sought has even more of the same problems that has followed this series so far.

I purchased the first 4 books at the same time, so I still have book #4 to read. Just not anytime soon.

I have to say I love the concept of the series & there are great erotic scenes that are really steamy.
But.......I have 2 major problems with the stories.

#1 The repetitiveness!
Whole pages that are not necessary to the story. They detract from it in an extensive way.
These monotonous sections should have been used to increase the risky and dangerous situations the characters find themselves in.
But those are rushed and have unconvincing miraculous endings.

#2 The immature and absurd way the females behave.
Way to much crying and 'squeeing'!
That is a word from the book, which seems to mean a high pitched squeal.

This series could have been breathtaking, but books #2 & #3 have been mediocre.

2/3; 2 stars; C+

One theme I noticed in the other Bride of the Kindred novels was the earth women protesting and resisting to the point of stupidity. At one point Kat behaves stubbornly/stupidly and seems to realize I it and says 'I'm so stupid' and I was thinking, 'yeah, no kidding'. I finished the book otherwise i guess I'd give it one star. Evangeline Anderson has so much talent as a writer but this kind of heroine she has created just turns me right off.

I’ve been considering what I should say, and what not. So if you read this is your own decision. Be warned.

Was I looking forward to the Twin’s book? Yes

Was I looking forward to getting to know Kat? Yes

Did it turn out to be what I expected? No

Gonna sum it up real fast. My idea of Kindred warriors is exactly that. Warriors. Big brawny guys who doesn’t stand back for anything. Guys who have a deep respect for woman and who love fiercely should they give their heart and bond. But even with their respect for the female kind, they should still be Alpha males.

How I perceived the Twins in this book: Let’s start with Deep. He is after all the Dark twin and I just love my broken Alpha’s. I really liked him. I liked his rough edges and his internal war. There was a few really great moments with Deep in the book, but I think it could have gone a little deeper. When he was whipped for instance, I would have liked a little more something about that. I got a little something in the cave during his talk with Kat but still. His internal struggle was made even more sad by his brother who did not understand him in this respect. I could have handled him a little darker even. Yummy.

Locks...well. To be honest. He was just plain annoying. He seemed to have forgotten that he owns a “pair” because you could have put him in a dress there for a couple of scenes. I’m being harsh, I know, but in my personal view of how I perceived the story, he was responsible for spoiling a lot of the scenes. To me he came over as to afraid to breathe without offending “ M ‘lady Kat”. Where was the Kindred Warrior in him? There is a very fine line in having men worship woman, and making them seem pathetic. I was so surprised when he finally beat the crap out of his brother because to be honest I didn’t think he had it in him at all. I don’t like men who grovel all the time. They have to be in charge even if they do love their woman. That’s Alpha isn’t it? Not this poor think. I’m sorry.

Then the lovely lady Kat. I had such high hopes for her. In the first two books she came over has feisty and funny. The wheels of that wagon just about came of at 120 miles per hour within the first part of the book. She turned into this annoying girl. I mean it really wasn’t that she didn’t know she was doing something strange in the first place, but no it was all the evil Twin’s faults. She was the victim here. Pfff. Only right at the end did I get to like her a little again. But by then I’m afraid it was almost to little to late.

Another thing that made my eyebrows lift was the fact that the whole duration of this book, she kept contracting “illnesses” that can’t be cured without rubbing and rutting. I know it’s a strange world filled with strange things but really? It has to be connected to every little thing? And don’t let me get started on the whole “Two turning into one” thing. If you read the book you’ll know what I mean.

There were parts of this book I really enjoyed. I love Xairn and it was so touching and sweet when he sat down with Lauren and listed to her talking about her cupcakes. There is so much potential there because he is the ultimate bad boy, broken and crushed but strong all together. And so far Lauren is a kick ass girl, because she doesn’t pity party on herself the whole time. She actually sees him and stands up for him even though she is in a pretty crappy situation.

So I guess we’ll have to see.

In this third installment is stays true to the course. There are men slavish in their love and devotion to a woman resisting 'til the end despite her bodily and emotional needs.

I guess the naughty thrills (nudity! touching! impure thoughts!) are actually all the better because of the will exerted to resist them. If our heroine Kat swooned over her Twin Kindred suitors from the outset and spent the rest of the book thoroughly consummating their marriage, it would be fun and all...but not quite as thrilling.

Which is not to say that I necessarily approve of the lady characters of this series being quite so predictable and frustratingly bound to some unseen code to not get to rutting with the handsome gentlemen. But I do understand the need for the tension.

As before, Evangeline has inserted a new element to keep the formula interesting. In this case, it's not merely that our protagonist has become linked to a matched-set of Twin Kindred males, but that the twins themselves are such polar opposites. It sounds incredibly trite, but she pulls it off in a way that is actually quite effective. The dark twin may be off-putting because of his negative intensity. But it is also this intensity which makes him even more potent when compared to his more saccharine brother.

This is the most "science-fictiony" of the books so far in terms of quantities romance/erotic content versus space travel and adventure. It's more fantasy than hard SF, of course, but it's done surprisingly well. I've read less interesting descriptions of alien worlds in books that didn't have nearly as many bouncing breasts and swinging balls and erections as this one. So I have no complaints on that front at all.

In fact, my only disappointment in an otherwise very tense and exciting conclusion was what I felt to be a blatantly deus ex machina rescue from the brink. Still, it's a minor gripe. Now on to the next book...

3 stars technically I wanted to lower it but because I was so into the story I didn't.

I wanted to love this book. I wanted to like Kat. But I couldn't and I didn't. See Kat seems to have issues with Twin Kindred who as you should know, since you've read books 1 and 2, take their bride at the same time. Not bad not scary whatever but it turns out they take them in the same side if you know what I mean. So this ultimately freaks Kat out and she continually rejects both Deep and Locke. Then there is something from her childhood that makes her not want to be with them either *insert eye roll here* basically her parents fought and they would beat on each other. Now I'm not discounting that that is traumatic, but the way it's glossed over and explained makes it feel as more of an excuse than a legit reason to not be with them because she is constantly bickering with Deep.

I just didn't like how her reasoning wasn't explained until more than half way through the book and I don't like what the reason was.

Not only that but this series is becoming similar to BDB, I'm the sense that book 1 was about the relationship and now these subsequent books are now part of a larger full series plot and it's boring me. I'm tired of jumping POVs, one of several issues I also have with BDB, and I'm tired of the plot. I was looking for some smut to read instead books 2-3 are more plot less smut. And I do want to continue with the series which drives me nuts as well. And I'm not sure how I'll feel about the next one, I heard it's a lot of stay away from me for your own good type story and that will probably frustrate me though I do want to see what happens. See conundrum.

I still enjoyed it when Kat got her head on straight and I look forward more to Nadiah's story than Lauren's but I'm still interested in Lauren's.

Kat O'Connor is a stubborn minded woman trying hard to fight her feelings for the twin kindred warriors that have entered her life. She's torn between her love for them, and her fear of their relationship turning into her parents. She's struggled with their constant bickering, and has vowed that she'll not be stuck in a relationship unless she's positive that the man, or men in this case will absolutely love her unconditionally.

The problem is that before Deep and Lock entered her life, they were devastated by a past love lost, and Deep holds the blame for what happened. Scared to fully open up to Kat, he buries his feelings and puts a strain on their relationship, the relationship he shares with his twin kindred brother Lock, and on his own faith to move on. Loving Kat, and Lock more than his own life, Deep endangers his own life to protect them at all costs.

Two stubborn soles put one other in the middle to hold everything together, as a few near death experiences, and a fight for survival proves love conquers in the end.

Sought is a very emotional and well written read with hot chemistry, scorching menage scenes, and updates with Liv and Baird, Sophie and Sylvan, as well as a new introduction to Lauren and Xairn.

As with the other two in the series I thoroughly enjoyed it, and look forward to the next installment hopefully in the near future.

Really enjoyed this book was different with opposite twins not agreeing Lock is light twin happy looks on bright side, Deep is brooding pessimists and holding back from fully embracing Kat and Lock. At times this book drags and I think could moved along faster in story but in long run was a good book and even though Kat Deep and Lock were captured by bad guys like in previous books it did help story.

Great read. I really got into the whole light and dark twin sharing one women thing. It's especially hot how they revere plus size curvy women and consider them "elite". We got to visit the Twin Moons homeworld this go around. As usual, Evangeline manages to make me crack up with the weird bonding fruit, convo-pillar...etc. We also got some progress on the Scourge story line with

The way the continued books are written are so wonderful the previous books characters are drawn into each continued book which makes each new book even better. This series is WONDERFUL.. I LOVE IT.

This book was funny, drew tears, was scary and very romantic with great sex too lol...

Has all the things for the making of a great book, With each book in this series get ready for a long read.. EAch book is 350-480 pages at least. and the author has priced them all at .99 cents to 2.99 to encourage readers to buy instead of steal downloads, but I think it kind of her to charge lower prices... We all need a price reduction now a day.

The book story itself had a lot of story to it, and with each preceeding book all characters are included so each new book is just like a continuation with new characters.

The journey of Stabs Deep, Locks Tight and Katrina is great. I laugh at the names of the twin kindred, I think the author really did her self in when she chose names for TWIN KINDRED. There are three types of Kindred warriors, Beast, Blood and Twin,, Beast are brute men with beastial characters... Blood have fangs and when they bite insert the essence of thier body, soul and into the mate which causes a wondeful climax which rolls on and on... now the twin kindred come in pairs lol.. so for those who dream or have a fantasy of two men at once well these are your guys... but their names lol. wow.. I mean Stabs deep,, Locks tight, Ridgid Juicy, are just a few.. they all have meaning of course but the twins are soul brothers they share a soul and cannot touch a mate alone, if they attemp to make love with out the soul/brother which is a twin they have pain.. not pleasure they share a soul, feelings and life without the other is impossible...

Kat has been bonded to DEEP AND LOCK by accident a soul bond not physical or a full bond should I say, it happened when she or they attempted to use Kat as a Focus between the twins acting as finder/seeker to find Sophia when she was kidnapped by the Scourge. They found her but it left Kat sick, dying and bonded to the twins. Deep has a secret he will not share with her.. a past, that has left him broken and afraid to bond with a new woman. Lock is willing and Kat is scared but willing but Deep is broken and harsh with her at all times making any bond impossible.

They must travel to TWIN MOON the twins native planet to seek help from Mother Lir to break the soul so Kat will not die. The journey is a mess from start to end. I will not tell you if they find what they need to sever the bond. They also must travel to ZLITCH the home and now dead planet of the Scourge. BUT.... they end up trapped and dying due to the ALL FATHER OF SCOURGE, Will they live? Die? Love? I know Kats dying wish is to just be held and loved by the twins she says well I will go out with a bang and large COCK.. oh yeah... they are hung.. She has two men both very overwhelming but will die in pleasure...

I cannot tell anymore but this travels, chances and ending are all shocking and make a very good read now I am on to the book number four... there are six in the series. As with all series that do have a end. I regret being on book for since I know near the end... I would advise this as a GOOD READ.. TO ALL and those with kindles.. get if cheap .99 cents or free if your a prime member, for 99.00 a year you can read ALL the books you want FREE.. Good deal. And a good book/series. Start on book one, you cannot jump in the middle of these books at all..

ENJOY THE HOT SEXY, SCARY, WELL WRITTEN BOOK BY THIS AUTHOR. SHE ROCKS..

I have to say that this is the oddest take on menage that I could have possibly thought of. Scratch that, I would have never been able to imagine this one on my own and I am not sure that I am too keen on it. I don't really like that the menage is among a set of twins and a mate although there is no real sexual contact between the brothers. However, what the twins have to do to complete the bonding to their mate kind of gives me he heebie jeebies. It would have been better for me if the males had no blood relation and were paired off somehow to choose a mate to share. I just didn't find it titillating at all, and isn't that why we ultimately read these things? I want my dirty birdie reading wrapped up inside a decent story and Anderson has definitely sucked me into the world that she has created; but jeez. This may be a step too far for me. But I had to keep reading ya'll! The stories are too interconnected to skip a book and I needed my fix man. I needed it bad.

The tension between Lock and Deep is good and I didn't dislike Kat quite as much as I did Olivia and Sophia, which is a plus. However, again I felt that the story of Xairn held my interest much more than the main couple of the book. I am thrilled that I have made it to book 4 and will now be able to read Xairn and Lauren's story. I just hope that I am not disappointed after I have made it through 3 heroines that were on the annoying side. The ending of Sought sets the stage for much more to come plot wise and I'm still hanging on. Kudos to Anderson for getting me to stick with a series where I didn't like the heroines but loved the alphas and the world that she has created. Making the reader jones for more even when they want to turn it loose, now that is a special talent! I don't know what's wrong with me. It's as if I'm spellbound by the whole idea of this world and I can't shake it loose! Fingers crossed that Xairn and Lauren are worth the wait!

Katrina O'Connor, or as her friends call her, Kat, is a seriously strong woman, but she doesn't give herself that much credit. She's a plus size beauty who has always struggled with her size, that is until she met a sizable problem during Liv and Baird's claiming/wedding. The name of the problem is Lock and Deep, twin brothers from the planet Twin Moons.

They find her beauty compared to a goddess and consistently, they flatter her. Her best friend, Sophie, had been kidnapped previously and she was forced into a three-some... more or less... to locate her. The side effects of said 'some' ended up having catastrophic effects on her. Lock and Deep took a chance on making her part of their trio in dire circumstances, but now they must pay the price.

Locks Tight, the light twin is everything a light person should be. He's kind, compassionate and would give everything he is and everything he has to protect the woman he loves, Kat.

Stabs Deep, the dark twin, is the complete polar opposite. Deep does not let anyone close to him, aside from his brother. Pushing people away and making them hate him is what he's good at. But he has a secret, a few of them actually.

Will the brothers be able to save Kat in time and help her through this tragedy? When it appears like they have, the Scourge come at them again and strike another episode and kidnapping. Someone commits the ultimate betrayal in their threesome then realizes a little too late, it was the wrong move.

Without giving anything away here, I held my breath and CRIED for this... like seriously... Ms Anderson completely PULLED me in!! Towards the end I was shaking my head saying, "No no no!!!" *sighs* I cannot
WAIT to get my hands on the next book! These are not short stories but freaking HUGE novels! I could NOT put them down and read them in a matter of a day!! Yeah, super reader here lol!! Ms. Anderson please continue to amaze me because I want my own Kindred hunk!!!
