Dear Author,
These two haven't been together for a very long time, but as you can see, it's been long enough that they've discovered they like to be a bit risqué in public, even downright exhibitionist. It's easy at crowded Pride events and conventions, but they've been known to sneak into an alley or two also. They've got lots of hot stories to tell, and I can't wait to hear them!

Nicki and his Dom, Jeremy have a common love for classic cars. They are heading to a car show together, and Jeremy has a very special dressing code for Nicki.
Nicki is obviously head over heels in love with Jeremy, and it seems that the feeling is mutual. The erotica was okay, but I just couldn’t connect with the characters, and the car show totally left me cold.
And Jesus! Have I mentioned his hands? I never knew I had a hand fetish until I met Jeremy. Or maybe I just had a Jeremy fetish.

When I saw the picture for this submission, I immediately fell in love with it and I was very curious to read this story of the Hot Summer Days Event. I have to say that I really liked the dynamics between Nicki and Jeremy - his Dom. Their relationship felt very credible and I liked the fact that they were that into each other. The Dom/sub element was well implemented and I really think that a full BDSM novel about these two would be very interesting.
I have to say that the first part of the story - including the toys - was very hot; unfortunately the part with the car convention didn't really do it for me. It got a little boring and I was waiting for more information on the characters. Instead, I got details about the cars. I would have loved to get a better understanding for the characters and I had the feeling that the story was lacking in background information about the couple. A few days after reading this short, both Nicki and Jeremy feel foreign to me.
I however liked the way the prompt text was taken into consideration in the story.

The length doesn't matter. This is brief but it perfectly achieves its goal with minimum fuss. You'll be clutching your pearls while sighing in satisfaction.
Nicki's a thirty something year old guy, a go-to-swap-meets car enthusiast, leather scene fetishist, and an enthusiastic sub. He's found his dream counterpart in Jeremy, a 6'7" Dom that shares his passions, all his passions, and then some. See? I got all of that from a couple of pages. That's good writing.
With an economy of words but wealth of information the author gives us a day (not even a whole one) in the lives of two people and yet I can extrapolate how it is between them and how (employing my romance reader optimism) it's going to go.

BDSM stories supported by real emotion are my favourite kind. This was such a story. I felt a real connection between the MCs. Nicki's feelings for his Dom and his burning desire to please him were genuine.

This was seriously hot, but what I liked best was the way it became clear that the relationship had real affection and caring at its base and satisfied them both. I loved the fact that they were comfortable enough with each other to be a little playful with it. I liked the sensual feel : putting a layer of leather on them was like adding whipped cream to a sundae and the fun: Will all of these knobs fit a '69 GTO? as he deliberately drives Nicki crazy. Oh, and I loved the title and its source.

When I started reading this story, my first thought was I'll have tell Nick about this story! Nick is my 17yo son and loves cars, so by osmosis I've absorbed knowledge about GTO's etc. It wasn't long till I realized that there was no way in hell was I mentioning this story to him, lol!

Great story! I loved Nicki's internal musings and longings, and the use of the car as a simile to his and Jer's relationship. The writing style was descriptive and flowed so well that I just wanted more. Oh yeah, and it was hot. :)

I adore good BDSM, but what I really look for is that rare gem of writing that totally captures the mental aspects of what it means to be a Dom or a sub. The author gives a guided tour inside of a contemporary D/s relationship, and boy do the two protags generate some heat! Yes, there's leather and toys, but more than that, there's chemistry, and the devotion of this couple really shines. I hope to see more of these two; they definitely have a story to tell. Bravo to Mr. Huffman-Black. I'd love to see a novel in his future.

In spite of some minor issues, the writing was smooth and kept me turning pages. The relationship between the characters felt loving and affectionate. Bottom line, I truly enjoyed this story and I recommend that you read it.

The story was good. It is a BDSM story, heavy on D/s, a little bondage, and what I think was only a bit of S&M; but I am a novice when it comes to such things. Reviewing the story on its mechanics, I could find no fault with it whatsoever. It is well written, and the characters are described enough for me to see Jeremy and Nicki in my head. Nicki getting ready to meet his Dom, however, that was good and hot! I enjoyed the picture of him putting on his harness with his "o ring"; that image is one I will see for a few moments when I go to sleep!

So much depth of character and depth of feeling in a small space, as well as plenty of sexual tension then the hot payoff. This story really opened my eyes as to the Why of D/S; the appeal for the sub comes through clearly in Nicki's thoughts and feelings. I loved the subtle humor too, and Nicki's well-defined narrative voice. I can hardly wait for more from this author!

For such a short story it gave a very good feel for the Dom/sub relationship and a positive future for the couple. Given its brevity it was hard to ascertain too much beyond the very general direction of the couple (and their cars)... I'm glad I've read it - I'd like to see how JHB handles a longer story.

Unlike most BDSM type books or stories that I have read, this one shows genuine affection between the Dom and the sub. Normally I don't see that which is one of the main reasons I normally stay far away from them.
