FEAR, Book Twelve in the Witches of Santa Anna series of novellas....
In Season One of The Witches of Santa Anna, Natalia and Cam had to fight to be together.
In Season Two, they'll fight even harder not to lose each other.
With Raine gone, Cam and Natalia believe the worst is behind them. But Raine's left a trail of collateral damage in her wake.
Cam's starting to realize that he can't protect Natalia from the forces out to take her from him. And Natalia still can't figure out who to trust.
Everyone at Santa Anna is on edge, wondering when Raine's going to come back.
Because the thing about Raine? She doesn't give up that easily. She has friends. Powerful friends. Friends that want to make sure Cam and Natalia don't stay together.
And in the end, Cam and Natalia will be forced to battle something more powerful than they ever imagined.
Alliances will be broken. Bonds will be tested. Questions will be answered. And you won't believe how it all turns out.
With new characters, new dangers, and new secrets, Season Two of the Witches of Santa Anna proves that true love conquers all and that nothing - not even pure evil - can change your destiny....
I don't think this series would be half bad, if things were consolidated a bit, rather than make me read so many teeny tiny little books!
But, picking up where we left off in the last book, let's start with a brief refresher:
Natalia = good witch, allegedly. Has a white butterfly necklace. Cameron = boy that Natalia loves. He loves Natalia back, but an evil spell has bonded him forever with Raine. Raine = bad witch, allegedly, although remarkably easy to defeat. Has a black butterfly necklace. Bonded to Cameron. Hadley = new girl. Witch. Lives on a compound. Kidnapped Raine. Allegedly "good" witch, but seems confused. Reed = head of the compound. Says he's trying to unbound Cam and Raine, but seems intent on just killing whoever he can. For whatever reason.
So, in this installment of our witchy soap opera, Nat and Raine have made it to the compound where Cam and Hadley are hiding. Reed is ready to do the unbonding ceremony until, oops, he forgot to tell Nat-- she's really a queen witch with extraordinary powers who will rule this mysterious herd of oddball witches. Okay, now time for the unbonding.
Except, it seems Reed just wants to murder Cam and Raine both. And he either wants to hook up with Nat or let her rule the world. Not sure. I only have one more of these little stories, so I may never know at this pace. I think 13 may be my limit.
Another book in The Witches of Santa Anna series, this time things are really starting to pick up! I think this may in fact be my favourite book of the series so far, there is so much drama and lots of twists and turns in Fear. It's kind of hard to keep up with who is dating who and what is going on! In Fear readers are introduced to a new group of people, and as usual Lauren manages to surround these people in mystery and not give away too many details about them just yet. All I know it that I don't trust them at all!
As I have come to expect from these mini novellas, the reader is left crying for more information and dying to know what is going to happen next!
I've spoke to Lauren on twitter and have been told that book 13 is going to be called Oblivion! Hopefully it will be out soon, so I can find out the next part of Nat and Cam's story!
