I've been waiting for this book to come out for 3 years!! And Rory finally finished, and my heart broke into a million pieces reading it.
I'll always be on TEAMHANNAH!! No matter what she has done.. why because she deserves someone on her team with what she's been though we saw her and Slade relationship in the first book and I kid you not I wanted to slap Slade for how he was acting towards her. And in this book..
I swear if I could slap a man so many times, it would be slade.. I understand why he did what he did and his reasons for vengeance and making sure Hannah is safe from his enemies he just didn't communicate well with her. That's what my problem was he could've been honest with Hannah and told her straight up. But like he said, he took the cowards way. Kinda wish Matthew would've kicked his butt when he came back only to learn his little bird wasn't there anymore.
There is a lot of angst, a lot of push/pull and trust that the two need to work on. Also, HANNAH DOGGIE!! WE STAN DOMINUS!!!
Andds drama from the enemy.. we also get some more side characters that I wonder would get a book!!
Angst, No ow/om drama, no cheating, slight secondary character, drama, sexy times, virgin gal and no manwhore

I was really looking forward to this story. Unfortunately it missed the mark for me. There was too much back and forth, especially from the mmc. There was a point that I just skimmed to I could finish it.

Pay close attention to the trigger warning! This is a dark romance but it's a story that needs to be told. Yes this is fiction but the subject matter, human trafficking, is all too real and Rory Reynolds has done a masterful job of portraying it! Don't get me wrong, that's not all this book is.
It is a story about redemption and love. Slade and Hannah are both damaged souls. Slade rescued Hannah years before and Hannah has loved him since. But Slade believes he is unworthy of her. My heart hurt so much for both of them. I felt every emotion following them as they found their way to their HEA.
Rory Reynolds has written some of the best characters I've had the pleasure to read. They are warm and alive, perfect in their imperfections. Her world building is outstanding, I felt like I walked every step with her. The story held me spellbound to the end. 5+ stars

Hannah and Slade have an interesting past together. Hannah was gifted to Slade by her captor. She doesn't expect him to be anything but her new Master. She has been in captivity for three years when they met. Slade is working undercover and knows that he shouldn't do it but he can't leave her behind. He frees her but she struggles at home. Years past and they are in the same place. Slade doesn't think that he is good enough for her but she just wants to be with him. She finally realizes that he will never be hers so she decides to move on. She goes to Las Vegas to work at the Black Rose club there. Slade is not pleased when he discovers her gone. Will he be able to convince her to come back to him?

Wow! Please read with caution as this book can be triggering to some.
Slade and Hannah’s book is finally here and it was so worth the wait! I loved these two together. My heart was in the wringer over re-reading the first book and now this book just shredded it! This book will have to hooked and begging for this it not to over. I am really looking forward to seeing what Rory has in store for us next.

This is another completely consuming read that is filled with brutal intensity, raw emotions, taut tension, tantalizing twists, brutal drama and sultry heat. Hannah and Slade really put your heart through the wringer and have your emotions spiraling. Hannah just broke my heart and Slade also had my heart aching, even during those moments when I would have liked to give him a hard smack to the back of his head. Lol These two gave me All The Feels! I am independently posting an impartial review.

Certainly not for every reader's taste, but if you want emotion oozing from your reader, this delivers!
I can't tell you how intense this was reading! I had to pry my fingers from my reader and stretch them out! White knuckles!

This book was a real tearjerker. If there was ever a character you could slap on the back of the head, Slade would be it. He put Hannah through so much. At one point, I had to step away from the book, I was so mad at him. In the end, though, Slade and Hannah do get their HEA (what a relief!).

What an emotional read to say the least. I felt sorry for Hannah and all she went through. I advise everyone to heed the trigger warnings first. She was gifted to Slade who feels he doesn't deserve her. There were so many times that I was so over Slade. After all she went through I didn't feel that BDSM was an answer to anything. I received an ARC copy.

This is by far my favorite story line !!! Intense and sexy and beautiful! I love how he was destroyed she was hurt and tried to make up for it In the story ! Loved how he left to save her but was her savor in the end ! Epic epic read

Another great read
Another book I could not stop reading!! I really enjoy Rory Reynolds stories. I can't wait for the next book. After that one I hope she does Carson's story, it deserves to be told.

Not a fan of doormat women or dumb men. This had both. Even with trauma going on there was way too much stupid in this one. Love is great but not enough to put up with someone that leaves you high and dry so much. No thanks.

Realism? Oh let me get rescued from a human trafficker by a very sexy Slade, pine for him for over a decade after major trauma bonding with him, give my v card to him, then get preggers with his baby. Then he leaves me TWICE afterwards......
