Read with my son when he was in first grade.* He loved this book after having watched the Duck Tales cartoons.

*He had to keep a reading log and I just found this when going through storage tubs.

This is a picture book for primary to intermediate readers. It’s about some Disney characters who find Atlantis and help free the king who everyone thought was dead. I don’t think it’s that good a book, but I’m sure kids would enjoy it. There’s a lot of action in it and it takes place in a very short amount of time. It goes from action scene, to action scene, to action scene. The whole story moves so fast. If children are unfamiliar with the characters in the story they won’t be any more familiar with these characters by the end of the story. I think it’s too fast a pace for so many things that are done in this book. I think even younger children would still enjoy it if it were at a slower pace and more details were given.

This was quite well done. A great way to introduce a few historical topics to the kids as well.
