The cruel joke against Leonie started off as a horrible prank but the joke was on the ones who were behind it when she finds herself being taken away by Symon and finding happiness with him.

SWOON N STEAM!!

Holy JALAPEÑOS, this was smokin!!! I freakin love a romance where the hero swoops in, saves the day and carries off the heroine. And this was perfect! The heroine has been stranded, left on a mountain in the middle of the storm when the hero finds her and scoops her up . In his arms, she finds strength, safety and peace

She’s his, and he’s going to protect her!

Safe. Hero’s past isn’t mentioned except to say he’s been celibate for a while. Heroine is a virgin and belongs only to her hero. Small OM drama, heroine was briefly dating him. No ow, no cheating or sharing or abuse. HEA with epilogue and babies years out

Leonie and Symon's Story . . .

Symon, ex Special Forces, is a Mountain Ranger checking that everyone has evacuated the campsites with a huge storm on its way. He sees a tent in the furthest site out and is suddenly attacked by Leonie who is convinced a bear is coming after her in the dark. Her boyfriend had left her as a joke, knowing she was afraid in the dark (PTSD). Symon can’t leave her there, so he carries her away from the tent and takes her to his cabin to keep her safe. He recognizes her terror for what it is, unhealed trauma from her past that was triggered by something, and he helps Leonie work through it, having established trust with her through his protective actions. Will he convince her to give him a chance? Will she be willing to stay with him and find their HEA?

Taken By The Mountain Man was my first read by Sadie, and I’m already excited to read her other series! Especially book 1 from the Wild Heart Mountain series.
Symon, ex military now working as a forest ranger saves Leonie during a storm when her date abandoned her in the woods. He takes her back to his house where he intends on keeping her and making her his!
This was short read, I finished it in about 45 minutes and now I’m left wanting MORE!!

Somehow even worse than the last one.
Leonie was add to be such a pathetic character in the way her PTSD was depicted. And she was “strong” because she punched someone and talked dirty. It felt misogynistic.
And I forgot the cure to PTSD was love and having sex. Barf.

Many kids in epilogue 5 years later. No cheating. No breakup. Some OMD. No OWD. No chemistry. No plot.

WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.

Symon and Leonie met when she's left out in the forest by her boyfriend. Leonie's boyfriend takes her out on a camping trip, but there's a storm coming in. Symon comes to find all the campers to get them out of the forest before it's to late. When Symon spots Leonie's tent he goes to get her out but she doesn't answer. Soon Leonie is out of the tent holding a weapon to Symon. When he tells her she needs to leave she goes running off. Symon chases her and realizes she's having a panic attack so he carries her back to his truck. Symon takes Leonie back to his cabin he draws her a bath while he makes supper for them. Symon tries to find out why Leonie was out in the forest all by herself, and he tells her about his military service. They talk well into the night then they head to bed, there's a nightlight for Leonie to leave on. Soon Leonie is awake because the power is out, she heads out to find Symon and the fireplace is going. So Leonie cuddles up next to Symon, when he wakes up he realizes she's next to him. When Leonie explains why she's next to him Symon tells her he'll keep her safe. Symon kisses Leonie, they deepen the kiss but soon there's a knock on the door. The knocking turns into pounding Symon goes to answer the door when he finds a athletic guy standing there. The guy tells Symon his girlfriend is missing, and he needs his help finding her. Symon soon realizes the guy is the one that left Leonie out in the forest to fend for herself. Symon's about to punch the guy when he hears Leonie come up behind him. Soon Leonie asks Symon to step aside and she hits the guy. The guy stumbles down the steps and Symon tells him to get off his mountain. Symon scoops Leonie up and tells her she his now. Then Symon pleasure Leonie and then they make love. The rest of the day Leonie helps Symon out, they clean up the debris from after the storm. After they finish the dishes, Symon tells Leonie he wants to show her something. Symon leads Leonie outside and tells her he knows she afraid of the dark. Symon leads Leonie out and lays a blanket down then they lay looking up at the stars. Symon tells Leonie that he'll keep her safe. Leonie tells Symon why she's afraid of the dark. Symon tells her he thinks she has PTSD, and should gets some counseling. Symon tells Leonie to keep her eyes closes and he turns off the lantern then he whispers in her ears that he'll keep her safe. Soon Symon is pleasuring Leonie and then he make love to her. Symon asks Leonie to stay with him on his mountain and she asks him if it's a joke. Symon tells Leonie he's never been more serious and she tells him yes. Leonie got her military mountain man, a genuine hero, and she couldn't be happier. Five years later, they have a three year old daughter Trinity, and a baby. It's been five years since Symon found Leonie on the side of a mountain, five years of pure happiness. When the ranger cabin became to small they moved to a bigger cabin further up the mountain. With Symon's help Leonie got the counseling she needed, and she's not afraid of the dark anymore. Symon was Leonie's light that led her out of the darkness, her protector, her savior.

Leonie is "camping" with her "boyfriend" but he abandons her. A storm is coming and park ranger Symon is checking that all tourists are off the mountain when he spots Leonie just as it's getting dark. She tries to threaten him with a nail file (hilarious!) and then she flees because she's still scared and not sure he's a friendly, and has some PTSD, but he manages to soothe her and brings her back to his cabin. The next morning her "boyfriend" tries to look for her in Symon's cabin but Symon is not giving her up. He almost punches the loser but Leonie steps up and if you didn't like her before that you're gonna love her now!!! It was funny and admirable. I enjoyed this story so much.

loved this series of books! Each story is pretty short, and although they can each be read as stand alones, the stories are a little intertwined, so it was nice to read them all at one go. Most of them took me under an hour to read. And I loved that I could read them all back to back!

Each story is similar in a way that each of the characters complement their partners so well it seemed like they were really made for each other, even through their insecurities, scars, trauma etc. and they all have sweet HEAs. I find that the plots are quite well thought through, and the stories are well written.

I always enjoy Ms. King's books, and this was certainly no exception. Symon showed himself to be a wonderful leading man and Sadie did hee usual great job developing his character given the space limitations presented. The struggles that solders face reintegration upon return from service is no joke, and it is refreshing for that to be seriously taken into account. So far, he is the least impacted of his band-of-brothers at Wild Heart Mountain and can interact well with people (though he does like his quiet and solitude).

Poor Leonie, my heart definately went out to her. Being the target of bullies and teasing is devastating in and of itself, buy to have them turn your biggest fear against you is simply cruel! Not only is her fear logical, the trauma she suffered was another hit that pulled my heartstrings and had me hoping she would reach out to grasp her shot at a HEA.

These two seemed to understand each other, despite the limited amount of time they actually knew one another. They both deserved joy and happiness after a long period of darkness. Would they be one another's reward at the end of the journey? I received an ARC of this book and can, with a clear conscious, strongly recommend it without hesitation. Happy Reading 📚

Symon is a mountain man and a park ranger. With a huge storm moving in, he's going around the park telling campers to take shelter in an evacuee center. When he gets to the most remote camping area, he is annoyed to see a tent still there with no vehicle. When he goes to talk to the camper, he runs into Leonie who is scared out of her wits. She is so beautiful and fragile, Symon instantly feels protective. He rescues her from the camping spot where her date ditched her and brings her back to his place. He is going to do his best to see that she never leaves.

Leonie was excited when Caleb asked her out. She didn't think anything of it when he asked her about her worst fear. When Caleb took Leonie camping, she expected that she would give him her v-card. Instead, he tells her he is going to the bathroom and takes off in the car leaving her stranded. leonie is terrified of the dark and when she hears strange noises around her tent, she is afraid its a bear about to attack her. Instead it is Symon a park ranger. He comes to her rescue like a knight in shining armor. Now Leonie has a man to make her feel hot and wanted.

Mine to rescue. Mine to protect. Mine to love.

Symon is ex special forces and now works as a Wild Heart Mountain Ranger. In that capacity, he's checking remote campsites and trails for stragglers before the big storm hits. He finds a tent but since there's no vehicle there surely the campers have already left. As he approaches the tent, he has to shout to ask if anyone is there.

Leonie is sure there's a bear growling and shuffling around her tent. That's all she needs! She's in a panic because it's getting dark and she's afraid of the dark. Also  she realizes her boyfriend, Caleb, has abandoned her. If she's going to die, she's taking something or someone with her. She charges out of the tent with the only weapon she can find, her trusty nail file, and crashes into a male's chest. And oh what a chest it is!

Symon's first thought is "MINE!" First he has to rescue her. Then, recognizing her PTSD, he can try to help her overcome her fear of the dark and punish Caleb.

Leonie and Symon

I really liked the facts delt with in this story like
1. prank played on an unsuspecting woman left alone and abandoned on a mountain top in a tent in a storm in the dark knowing that her deepest fear was being afraid of the dark. The creep should have gone to jail. Granted Grant didn’t know that Leonie had PTSD and panic attacks which led her to run out of the tent to be on the mountain unprotected during the oncoming storm and could have died from exposure to the elements if she hadn’t been rescued.
2. childhood trauma can result in PTSD in children that when left untreated can lead to panic attacks resulting from that trauma
3. You don’t have to be military to develop PTSD, it can happen to people of any age after a traumatic event with lasting consequences. All PTSD should be treated.
Amongst all of the above there’s also a daring darling rescuer who “sees her” and a sweet HEA ensuing. And the creepy guy gets his due but gets off easy because the heroine doesn’t want “anyone to get hurt.” Our hero respects that.

Taken by the Mountain Man is Book 2 of the Wild Heart Mountain Military Heroes series. It's a short and steamy OTT, instalove, age-gap, forced-proximity, curvy virgin gets her mountain man romance. Leonie is a 19 year old short and curvy girl who came to the mountains to camp with her boyfriend only to be left behind as a joke. Symon is a 34 year old ex-military man turned mountain ranger and volunteer firefighter. When he is clearing the mountain of campers and hikers before a storm, he encounters Leonie and knows she is the one for him. He takes her back to his cabin, and things heat up quickly. Will she stay or go? They had great chemistry, and we got an amazing HEA after a little bit of drama. I can't wait for Dylon's book next!

Oh good grief. Symon sees her and thinks mine, and that’s it.

😂😂😂😂 I’m sorry but it’s terrible. It’s not written very well and Leonie’s character did a complete 180° change. She starts off as really timid, and thinks she’s fat and ugly and everyone pities her to talking dirty to him within hours of meeting him.

Symon is a park ranger with his other military team mates. (?) I think. When he’s driving back to his cabin in a terrible storm he sees a tent at the side of the road. Leonie had gone camping with her boyfriend but he had left her there as a ‘joke,’ knowing she’s terrified of the dark. Symon takes her back to his house and she’s instantly his. The first time they have sex and she’s a virgin, he tells her he wants to ‘breed her.’ I kid you not! Hate that term. She’s not a cow!

Nope. Terrible!

Symon lives on Wild Heart Mountain as a ranger. When he left the military he moved to the mountain where a lot of his military buddies decided to settle. A storm is brewing and as a ranger he needs to make sure everyone is off the mountain. Leonie was abandoned by her friend on the mountain with just a tent. She was so afraid. That’s when Symon finds her. She seems to be in shock. Symon is taking her to his cabin to recover. Symon wants Leonie to stay with him. Will he be able to convince her? To tell her he know’s she is his forever. He believes they are meant to be together. It’s a sweet, heart warming, sexy love story. So good!.

Leonie was left on the side of the mountain with a massive storm rolling in, and thank goodness Symon came looking at the perfect time to rescue her. He takes one look at the distressed, shaken Leonie, and all he wants to do is protect her and make her his.

What more could a girl want? He is just a sweetheart; he knows she has been through hell and just wants to make her feel at home, so he runs her a warm bath, starts a fire, and fixes them a nice hot meal. He wants to ask her what happened on the mountain, but he knows she has been through a lot and doesn't want to make her uncomfortable.

The next morning, he finds her snuggled up next to him, and things quickly heat up between these two.

But can Symon convince Leonie to stay with him, or will she head back to the big city?

This is book number 2 of the Wild Heart Mountain: Military Heroes series and focuses on Symon and Leonie. Symon is the ranger for Wild Heart Mountain and when they have a huge storm coming through he starts working to see if there are any camping tourists that need to be evacuated. When he gets to a particular campsite, he discovers a terrified Leonie. As soon as he sees her, he immediately knows that she's the one for him and that he's the man that's meant to protect and love her. I absolutely loved the two of them together! This was a great story and a great addition to the series.

Hot, HOt, HOT!!! This book has some steam in it so enjoy it while you can. Leonie is a curvy girl and is left behind on a camping trip by a guy she is seeing as a joke. Symon rescues her from a huge upcoming storm. Symon recognizes Leonie as The One.
This author does an incredible job of telling their story. Though part of a series, this book can be read as a standalone. I loved this book and would definitely recommend it!.

Symon is a ranger on Wild Heart Mountain and he is making the rounds of the campsites making sure they have been evacuated with the upcoming storm. The last stop is the most remote one, he finds a two person tent with a single occupant. Leonie went camping with the guy she was seeing, now it is dark and he left her there. She never should have told him she was afraid of the dark.

The only place he is taking her is his cabin, he has this need to protect her.

I cannot say it enough how much I love these mountain men!! They are fierce and possessive and protective and have such dirty mouths! Symon is all this and more and when he finds Leonie in a tent when a huge storm is rolling in he cannot let her go.. From the moment their eyes meet he knew she was it she was his! There chemistry is off the charts. If you are looking for a quick read with an OTT alpha and he was everything Leonie needed even if she hadn’t figured it out yet. I loved these two’s story and couldn’t get enough.

Leonie was brought to the mountain by a guy to spend the night on the worst night in a long time. Then the guy as a practical joke disappeared leaving her behind that's when Ranger Simon comes to her rescue. He knew it would not be safe on the mountain, and he went to get who ever was in the tent to take to safety. The moment he met her, he knew she was the one for him. He needed to convince her of that without scaring her off. A sweet, tender love story with a touch of humor.

The bond they have and their chemistry is scorching! These two are so adorably perfect together. Mountain Ranger Symon (H34) comes upon a frightened young woman, Leonie (h19), abandoned in a tent just as a severe storm rages in. He’s instantly drawn to her and takes her back to his cabin. Symon helps Leonie confront her fears as their emotional and physical connections builds. Sweet age gap, mountain man quickie romance with a side of heat, a protective hero, and a feisty curvy girl who knows how to pack a punch. Loved it when Leonie was going to take on a supposed-bear with a nail file.

Leonie gets abandoned on the side of the mountain during a torrential storm, but Symon rescues her and takes her to his Ranger cabin. He just wants to protect her and shelter her and help her overcome her PTSD. When the boy that abandoned Leonie shows back up at Symon’s cabin, will Symon teach him a lesson? Can Leonie and Symon have a lasting relationship when she is just on the mountain for a weekend?

Symon and Leonie are so great together. The two characters have personalities that compliment each other perfectly. I love how supportive, sweet and living Symon is toward Leonie. My favorite part of the book is how Leonie handles the poor boy who didn't see what he was missing out on with her. If you love a sweet and protective man but yet strong than this is the book for you.

This was a wonderful mountain man story with enough emotions and twists. This is the story of Leonie and Symon. They meet when he finds her left behind just as a storm is brewing. His protective instinct is awakened and he does everything he can to keep her safe and protected and takes her to his Cabin. I enjoyed reading their story and can definitely recommend it,
