Three wrongs can’t make a right.

I’ve spent six years building a life that isn’t defined by my father’s sins—a beautiful girlfriend, a thriving nonprofit, safe dreams that won’t get me into trouble. Someone with my family’s reputation can’t step out of line without drawing attention, and they definitely can’t coach professional swimmers.

My carefully controlled world starts to unravel on my summer vacation, when a mysterious boy catches my eye. He’s intoxicating, beautiful, and an incredible swimmer. His body makes me question everything about my sexuality, and his talent makes me desperate to become his coach. Too bad the only lawyer who will help me navigate the PR nightmare of opening a coaching program happens to be a rude, self-absorbed, sexy-as-sin older man who doesn’t even like me. I shouldn’t want either of them, but my mixed up heart wants both.

When one explosive moment in an empty locker room ties all three of us together, we start down a path we can’t turn back from, even as my past threatens to destroy my future. We weren’t supposed to be more than a single night’s mistake. I can’t do anything to threaten my life’s work. But I’m not sure I can live without them, either.

Breaking free from the past has a cost for all three of us, but I don’t know if we can afford to pay it.

An emotional MMM standalone with a double age gap, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, and gay first times. Can be read as a standalone, but contains spoilers for Hold Me Under. Trigger warning (May include spoilers): Mentions of anxiety, depression, trauma, sexual abuse including minors, drug abuse, and suicidal ideations. A fire resulting in mild medical care and PTSD.

This book is about three damaged men, all with their own various issues, coming together in the best way possible for one another.

We’re all self-obsessed in our own way, doing anything we can to keep from hurting, and I’m pretty sure that would include burning each other down in the end. We’re all heat and no light, suffocating in the dark, unsustainable.

Alek sees Benji swimming and is impressed with his raw talent. He’s been wanting to start a coaching program and offers to help train Benji. Alek is put in touch with Colson to get some advice about announcing his new coaching program, due to topics initially addressed in Hold Me Under.

Benji and Alek are immediately taken with each other, which stirs up some deep-seated issues Alek’s been avoiding regarding his sexuality. Conversely, Colson and Alek don’t get off to a good start for a number of reasons. After meeting with Alek, Colson runs into Benji and they have a flirty little exchange.

These men are drawn to one another and the pull proves to be too strong for them to ignore. The sexual tension and the chemistry between them is insane. Off the charts.

For a breathless moment, caught between Alek’s pounding heart and Colson’s piercing stare, I feel like the center of the universe. I pull the stars to me and hold them in balance. I can send this moment spinning any direction I want.

When Benji, Alek and Colson come together for the first time. OMG. Holy shit. All the fireworks. I was fairly certain I was going to self-combust. All of the sex scenes in this book were incredible. Extremely hot and steamy.

“Ready for your share?” I don’t understand what he means until he climbs up and leans over me, his heavy body pressed to mine. Alek shivers as they kiss again. When I look up, I realize Cole is feeding Alek my cum in deep, languid strokes.

I really appreciated how each duo in the group has their own distinct dynamics. I adored seeing how they are each treated uniquely based on who they are directly interacting with.

I love watching them touch each other, almost more than I love it when they touch me. It’s like watching flowers that were shut tight all winter gradually spread open in the sun.

Seeing Colson slowly start to care about Alek and Benji, even against his better judgement, was super satisfying. He’s grouchy, in your face and obnoxious, but he really grew on me. On the other hand, Alek is just such a sweet guy and is coming into his own. Benji adores Alek and loves to push Colson’s buttons, but what is the boy hiding?

When the truth comes out about things going on behind closed doors, OMG, it’s just brutal. There is so much heartbreak and anguish. Benji starts spiraling. Alek is being wrongly punished simply for being his father’s son. Colson is closed off.

This moment in time shatters everything, but it was needed for these men to truly come together. And then the healing that occurs when they all go away for a weekend. It is just so heartwarming. The personal growth of Colson and the healing between Benji and Alek is everything.

If being in love means that the hurt you feel with them is better than the happiness you feel without them, then I’m afraid I might be well and truly lost. The kind of lost where no amount of running and breaking will ever turn me back into the man I was before.

Some tidbits I loved:
· Every time Colson called Benji “little fish”. So freaking adorable.
· The whole scene with the zoo game was too cute and funny.
· Victor being a smart ass was humorous and all the chatting with Gray was wonderful.

This book wrecked me in the best way possible. Listen, I just about cried and I never cry over books. The story Riley has written here is everything. It’s a journey! A journey of lust, desire, dreams, discovery, growth and unexpected happiness. This is easily one of my favorite books of the year.

They have become so perfectly mine that I don’t always know what I have to offer them in return. The version of me they brought to life hasn’t been around very long, so even though I try my best, I sometimes feel like I’m fumbling in the dark.

This book includes spoilers for Hold Me Under, so you must read that first.

*** I received an ARC of this book from Gay Romance Reviews and this is my honest opinion. ***

re-read on audio December 2023

Of course Greg B made me pick up this audio but I wasn’t sure about Tim Paige as he usually isn’t one of fave narrators. But hell, he was perfect for Cole’s character. Loved the story as much as the first time. ♡

“I’m in. I’m not complicated like you two. I’ve loved you both for like a million years already.”
[That was Benji, the cutie.]

5***** stars

We can play games like there’s no tomorrow, but tomorrow always comes–and deep down we’re just a commitment-phobic asshole, a guy who works himself to death to avoid his trauma, and a boy with a fake name, no identity, and trouble written all over him.

Wow, this was everything. We already got glimpses of Alek and Colson in the first two books of the series and with the role they each played in past events I was dying to get their story and to see how they would fit together with a boy that just showed up out of nowhere and would upend the life both had before they met him.

Really, their whole story was a mess. They were overwhelmed, uncertain and most of all reluctant to try for more of whatever this crazy attraction was between them. As usual I struggle to find words to express myself when it comes to Riley’s books so I won’t attempt any further.

I only want to say, that this was an epic last part of a series (and a debut series at that) that was deeply emotional, impactful, skillfully and wonderfully written with lonely, damaged and flawed characters to fall in love with hard. And Riley did absolutely great with his first MM+ romance. ♡

I wondered what we’re even doing. The bonds between us are so desperate but so thin. I can’t tell if there’s anything worth saving besides a few good memories.

“I just want you to know that you’re the brightest thing in the whole world, and I would spend the rest of my life hating whoever gets to have you.” He pulls in a shaky breath and smiles a little. “So would he.”

I already put it on my re-read list as there is the audio coming for it in fall with Greg B giving voice to Alek’s POV. I’m so very excited for it.

note: I wouldn’t recommend attempting to read this as a standalone but at least read “Hold Me Under” first as this book is tightly connected to the events of the first one.

***4.5 rating***

"When we first met, we were all so afraid. The world didn’t have a place for a swim coach lost in the shadow of monsters, a lawyer who believed he had nothing good inside him, or a boy built of lies. But fuck the world; we don’t need it. We have a place in each other, where there’s never any reason to be afraid. Just peaceful evenings, long, hot nights, and bright days."

My first MMM read and what do you know it's a 4.5-star rating? Leave it to Riley Nash to pop up my MMM cherry😂😂

Approaching my first encounter with an MMM book, a realm unfamiliar to me until now, I was brimming with intrigue and anticipation. With a sense of curiosity mixed with a dash of trepidation, I embarked on this literary exploration, guided solely by my fascination. The echoes of my bookish friends' passionate discussions about MMM tales resonated in my mind, leaving me both blind to the specifics and yet wholly captivated by the allure of the unknown. The sheer audacity and unconventional nature of MMM narratives had consistently piqued my interest through the spicy reviews my friends left in their wake.

For someone whose understanding of relationships had been grounded in monogamy, the concept of a trio—a ménage à trois or a throuple—wielded a perplexing intrigue. While I couldn't quite grasp the dynamics in real life, my curiosity about how such intricate relationships were depicted in fiction had been thoroughly ignited. As a reader, my comfort zone had always been tied to the familiar, but here I was, venturing into uncharted territories, fully aware that my reservations might be challenged.

Naturally, my curiosity was further fueled by the reputation of Riley's writing, renowned for its ability to deliver enthralling narratives that dared to explore unorthodox relationship dynamics. With every page turned, my initial reservations seemed to fade away, replaced by a burgeoning sense of anticipation and a desire to comprehend the intricate complexities of the characters and their interactions.

Drawing from the bedrock of my previous engagements with Riley's work—especially the absorbing tales of "Hold Me Under" and "Make Me Fall"—I had cultivated a sense of trust in the author's ability to craft a story that would both captivate and challenge. This trust led me to believe that the foundation laid in the earlier books was crucial to truly appreciating the depth of "Teach Me to Sin." The characters, intricately woven into the fabric of the narrative, returned in unexpected ways, their past experiences and shared history serving as the threads that bound them to the events unfolding in this latest installment.

Victor's past struggles, as laid bare in "Hold Me Under," were revisited in this story, providing a poignant backdrop that resonated across the narrative. Alek, the son of the deeply troubling coach who had orchestrated Victor's torment, emerged as a figure both tainted by his family's history and resolute in his determination to forge a different path. Meanwhile, Colson, introduced in the previous book, "Make Me Fall," carried his own baggage—a history intertwined with Gray's. The layers of their connections set the stage for an intricate dance of relationships, and with bated breath, I embarked on this journey to uncover how their lives would intertwine in "Teach Me to Sin."

As the plot unfolded, the emergence of a third character, "Benji," brought an unexpected twist. A young man of merely twenty-three years, Benji's motives remained enigmatic, his presence a catalyst that would forever alter the trajectories of the lives he touched. The trio, seemingly disparate in age and life experiences—Colson at forty, Alek at thirty, and Benji at twenty-three—formed an unlikely bond that defied the norms I had grown accustomed to.

Navigating through a landscape scarred by past traumas, dashed hopes, and unresolved tensions, these three characters embarked on a journey that was as unconventional as it was fascinating. Alek's aspiration to mentor Benji in the realm of swimming coaching, borne out of both genuine interest and a desire to escape the shadows of his past, set the stage for a relationship dynamic that was at once intricate and uncertain.

Colson, a lawyer on the precipice of retirement, entered the fray unexpectedly. Having once held a significant role in Gray's life, his re-entry into this sphere was emblematic of the intricate connections that underpinned this tale. While each man was drawn to the others for their own unique reasons—Alek's charisma, Colson's enigmatic allure, and Benji's youthful energy—their initial interactions were underscored by complexity and uncertainty. The trio's dynamics evolved with each encounter, a dance that seemed to transcend the boundaries of convention.

What struck me most was Riley's ability to weave together a narrative that portrayed the evolution of relationships in an authentic and empathetic manner. In a landscape that was seemingly unfamiliar to me, where three individuals with varying desires, vulnerabilities, and backgrounds came together, Riley managed to articulate the subtle nuances of their connections. The depth of emotion and the intricate layers of understanding that developed among these characters were both surprising and heartwarming.

As the story unfurled, it became evident that the relationships were far from perfect—struggles, betrayals, and uncertainties were woven into their tapestry. Yet, it was precisely these imperfections that lent a sense of realism to their journey. With every triumph, setback, and emotional revelation, the bond between the three men deepened. While their unconventional dynamic defied my preconceptions, I found myself drawn into the narrative, rooting for their happiness, and ultimately comprehending that love, in its myriad forms, could indeed find a home among these individuals.

Riley Nash's storytelling prowess was clearly evident as he painted a picture of these unconventional relationships, imbuing the narrative with depth and emotion. Through the lens of "Teach Me to Sin," I found myself questioning the boundaries of my own understanding of relationships, compelled to acknowledge that the richness of human connection often transcends societal norms.

To summarize, my journey into the world of MMM, guided by Riley's masterful storytelling, proved to be an enlightening and captivating experience. As the final pages of "Teach Me to Sin" came to a close, I was left with a sense of accomplishment, having traversed uncharted literary terrain. The anticipation for the sequel, "Wet," and the promise of Tate's story only served to deepen my excitement for the journeys that awaited. As my literary horizons expanded, so too did my appreciation for the complexities of human connection, and for that, I am profoundly grateful.

Expect:

- Multi-perspectives
- MMM
- Age gap
- Slow burn
- Hurt/comfort
- Found family
- Protective MCs (Daddy Colson)
-Enemies to lovers
-Forced proximity
- Gay awakening
- Spicy moments😏
- First times
- Some kinky moments
- TW (mentions of abuse by Alek's father) and CW
- Sports romance (swimming)
- Coach x swimmer x lawyer
- Can be read as a standalone

A lot of first for me this 2023 apparently. Earlier this year I discovered I can love a fantasy book to death and now I find out that I can enjoy an MMM book a lot when it’s done right. And you know what? Im aware that this isn’t a perfect book it’s way too insta and it has some issues but fuck if I didn’t love it so hard. Actually it’s not even the book that I loved , it’s these three guys, everything else was background noise to me, I was there just for them . To be honest I didn’t even read the first book (though it didn’t affect my enjoyment here) and I dnf the third. And I’m aware that there are a lot of things only superficially explored, like Benji.. I have no idea what’s Benji’a story, why he did what he did. “Im scared of him” isn’t good enough reason to go along with his father’s plans. I wished for more of his background story . Also the bad guys problem was way too conveniently resolved and quite unrealistic. The whole subplot was the “suspend disbelief “ kind of unrealistic .
Finally, my last complaint was that (mark this date in the calendar) IT DIDN’T HAVE ENOUGH SEX SCENES!!!
OMG these guys were so freaking HOT , how could Riley do this to us??? I needed more smut! Their first sexual encounter was so so 🥵🥵🥵
I have no words to say how much I loved these guys. They were absolutely perfect for each other and the best thing about this book is that it had everything we (secretly or not so secretly) like in a MM romance : protectiveness -Omg, I died and swooned and rolled my eyes at the same time when Colson was in his “protect protect protect” mod and didn’t let Gray enter the flat where Benji and Alek were sleeping. 🫠
It also had Colson carrying Benji in his arms everywhere (swoon again) . The hugging , the hair sniffing, the lap sitting ..swoon swoon swoon.
I also wanted to strangle them sometimes, especially Colson but I mostly loved them to the moon and back. They just …fit together and for the first time when reading a MMM I didn’t feel that one of them was left out, I didn’t feel jealous on behalf of one of the guys. I just loved them equally. Or not because if I started the book by disliking Colson I ended it by loving him the most . His growth throughout the book was organic and emotional. The beautiful writing helped too .

“I don’t think I’ve ever really loved someone. I’ve been in love, in that easy way where it feels good to have sex and listen to them talk because you need someone who will listen to you talk in return. And when we stopped feeling good, when the hollowness in me was too empty, I broke things until we didn’t want each other anymore. Right now, I don’t feel good at all. I’m sore and out of breath, sweating in places I didn’t know existed. I’m not drinking cocktails on my way to a dream house in the Italian countryside. The air around us is thick with trauma and huge, explosive emotions we don’t understand. And yet. If being in love means that the hurt you feel with them is better than the happiness you feel without them, then I’m afraid I might be well and truly lost. The kind of lost where no amount of running and breaking will ever turn me back into the man I was before.”

Ah, how I wish it was longer because even if that was for sure a hea it felt like a hfn for me because I wanted more . I really hope the author will gift us a short epilogue-novella in the future , like he did with Gray and I really hope it has a lot of sex 😁

This has been such a great series and this book was so good.
I was a bit nervous going in because I have never given a MMM book 5 stars before, its just hard to get to know three people and feel a connection between all three in 300 pages or less- but I really think this book did it. I really felt for each of them so much, I got choked up while reading. I think this is a really good way to end the series, although I am sad its over now it was so good.

I love these guys so freaking much. And mind you they are people who perhaps irl I would've never given them a second chance after some of the things they have done, and yet they own my entire heart. I thought I would feel jealous on behalf of one of the guys but it wasn't like that. Everyone brought something different to the relationship and they were just so perfect for each other

The spice was spicing. The chemistry between these guys was mind-blowing but I am so glad it was more focused on their healing rather than the sex.

Here are my favourite details (MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD!!)

1.) Colson being protective and not letting Gray in the hotel room when Benji and Alex were sleeping.🫠

2.) The first sexual encounter!! 🥵🔥

3.) BENJI my baby!!

“I’m in. I’m not complicated like you two. I’ve loved you both for like a million years already.”

4.) Colson carrying Benji everywhere 🫠

5.) PRINCESS!!😩

"Alek is your perfect, perfect princess and you’ll give him anything he wants.”

6.) Alek being a size queen 😭😭

“I think the princess likes it big. Look at him.”

Pre Read-I read all the books in this series except this one since I used to HATE poly romances but now that I am a changed man I wanna give this a try

Reread/Relisten: January 2024:

Apparently this is the year for rereads haha and I am not mad about it!

Original Read/Listen: October 2023:

Audio: 5 million stars, you have Greg B, Tim Paige and Michael Crouch 🔥 and this book is on Scribd now!!!!!

Book: 4.5-5 stars

These three lost boys found their match in each other.

You can kinda read this as a standalone if you don’t wanna read the other 3 books… buuuut I would say read at least book 1 and 2 if you wanna know all the side characters involved and the full backstory for Alek (book 1) and Colson (book 2)... it does make it more enjoyable that way!

I loved all three guys, but I really loved Alek, and how much he wanted to redeem his reputation that his dad put him through. I loved how both Colson and Benji were able to bring out that more confident side in him.

This series is amazing (well I love all books except for book 3.. that one I am pretending doesn’t exist in this universe 😂)

Now I can’t wait for the next Riley Nash book to be on audio!

I would like to thank GRR, Riley Nash and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.

my gawd the way Riley Nash ruins my brain for every book that comes after! i don't really know what to do with myself after devouring this book in one sitting. The hangover is real, ngl.

I absolutely enjoyed this book and, as always with this amazing author, my emotions were in my throat from beginning to end. It was beautiful and achy and nerve-wracking all at once. RN's love stories are always a workout for my feelings which is probs why i'm a bit zapped rn, but i'm weirdly into this strung out high low so i'll just run with it and collect myself on the way.

so while this was (imo) quintessential Riley Nash, I'm just really new to this MMM game, and so i had these moments when i felt like i was experiencing this story and these characters a bit spread out. But that's honestly a me thing, just 'cause i'm not used to this kind of relationship dynamic!

regardless, i love this series and i love Riley Nash because i'm always such a raw nerve after one of his books, and i think that's a pretty special talent right there. happily there's still loads to look forward to, like Tate's story next, yay, and every future brilliant love story RN releases, as well as rereading the heart-wreckers from the past.

this was a great installment in an already great series and i honestly can't wait to devour everything that comes next!

I bow to Riley Nash. What an incredibly talented author, and what an unusual series ❤️

Because yes, the characters in his book really have to fight for their HEA. First Victor and Ethan, where Victor is a swim champion who’s been abused by his coach. Then Gray and Jason, Gray being a friend of Victor, a lawyer who can’t forgive himself that he didn’t realise what Victor went through. Then Oliver, who’s one of Gray’s clients, and Jackson, a prisoner on the run whom he gets trapped with in a tunnel.

And now, finally, Alek, the son of Victor’s abuser. Cole, Gary’s relationship phobic ex husband. And Benji (who’s involvement in the previous plots I won’t reveal, as it might count as a spoiler).

It’s heartbreaking. It’s beautiful. It’s funny even. And it’s hard to read at times, for example when Alek reveals how he tried to end his life just to get away from his father.

“If being in love means that the hurt you feel with them is better than the happiness you feel without them, then I’m afraid I might be well and truly lost. The kind of lost where no amount of running and breaking will ever turn me back into the man I was before.”

And it all comes together, bits and pieces of strings being tied up so we get one big, beautiful ending for this series.

And even though I’m not usually a fan of mmm romances, it felt natural and inevitable for these three men to come together.

”it feels like ripping open my chest to let them see how deeply and irrevocably they’ve become intertwined with every part of me, each breath and beat of my heart. I know my soul is safe with them, and only them.”

I’ll definitely come back to this series, and the characters will stay with me for quite a while.

Beautiful. Go read it, and start with book 1 if you haven’t read it yet.

This is the last book in the spectacular “Water, Air, Earth, Fire” series, and it’s just as brilliant as all the others. I’m a sucker for a redemption story, and this sees the redemption of not one but two MCs from previous books in the series (Alek and Colson), & the introduction of another intriguing character, Benji, who you’ll definitely love. It’s a story of three damaged souls finding each other, and the inevitability of a relationship between all of them. While they all acknowledge they can't resist each other sexually, they're also realistic about the hidden parts of themselves that impact their long-term chances of staying together. Polyamory is another of my fave reads in queer romance, and this is one of the best I’ve read yet. The balance in the relationship between the three is perfect. They revel in their love for each other equally, & the qualities of each of them complements what the others need. And I PARTICULARLY love that the stigma around poly relationships isn’t a focus - it's easy to use this as a drama point, but this story is so much more profound than this.

For those of us who have a terrible memory, I appreciated how well the first 3 chapters introduced us to each of the MCs, giving us a little teaser of some mysteries about them, on top of orienting us to the story in relation to past events from the start of the series. They are complex characters, with depth that makes you really empathise with them, which of course leads to tears. So many times, my heart was breaking for Alek, being painted a villain by association, and believing it in himself, while also struggling with his sexuality & the realisation that he has denied himself for so long. Similarly, Benji has this childlike, impulsive innocence that's also mixed with this sassy vamp at times, but he's so love-starved & self-critical. Benji gives us lots of laughs, but also surprises us with a terribly sad back-story at times.

But of all of them, Colson is the most complex. His character arc is brilliant - from a deeply unlikeable, judgemental man who actively repels any connection to people, to this caring, protective guy who will do anything for his men. Even as we dislike his behaviour initially, we see a man who has this depth of misery, a self-loathing because of past mistakes, and when his ordered, controlled world is rocked by these boys, he falls for them despite all his efforts.

Lastly, I gotta talk about the heat…JFC Riley, you're really bringing the heat with this one!! A delicious first(ish) kiss between Alex and Benji, the art & science of BJs in a HOT AF scene between the three in a pool change room, Colson and Benji coaching Alex through his first sexual experiences with guys…cold shower alert!!

Loved seeing Victor from the first book, and Gray from the second, as well as mentions of many of the other MCs from the series. Could not have asked for more from a conclusion to a stellar series.

Check out my reviews and MM content on Instagram, Threads, StoryGraph, Facebook & Bookbub, all under the same name! I gratefully received an advance copy and this is my honest review.

Teach Me to Sin is a fantastic emotional read focusing on healing, recovering from past traumas, and finding others that meet all of your needs. Colson, Alek, and Benji all have their own experiences with past relationship difficulties and traumas. Together they instantly connect, strive to help one another, and have a distinct primal need to protect one another.

Their bond with one another is the powerful moving force within this story, which made it very refreshing and heartwarming considering all of the hurt and negativity Alek and Benji have experienced for such a long time. Colson is a fun character because he never really experienced any true emotional connections before and seeing his walls crumble for Alek and Benji was so sweet and endearing due to his strong protective instincts.

Overall I really enjoyed this triad. Their relationship is complex and fulfilling for everyone and I loved seeing each of them find a relationship where all their needs are met, where everyone is loved and safe. Such a satisfying conclusion for these characters.

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of putting broken pottery pieces back together with gold — a metaphor for embracing your flaws and imperfections. “You won't realize your full potential until you go through the tough times,” Kumai says. With that said, Kintsugi takes work and awareness in order for it to truly be healing.

I.loved.this!

I started hating Colson, disliking Alek and looking up and down at Benji... In the end,. The redemption is absolute, true, and raw... It's heartfelt, heartbreaking, and heartwarming! It's Kintsugi "embracing your flaws and imperfections," and they did it together beautifully. And Colson ends this book as my favorite, the cheating cold bastard, i did not see that coming!

This book has equal amounts of character development, sexy times, and sad times, and thats hard to do in a MMM book that always focuses on the physical side of relationships. This one brings these three broken men together and repairs them with gold...

It's fast and furious? Yes it is! we have some early ILY? yes we do! Do i care? NO, i eat it up like a greedy slut!

The sex! People... goddamn.... Not many sex scenes, but the ones that happen are out of this world hot... The connection they share is off the charts. Caution, read with AC at glacier temperature!

While my brain strugles with Gray's and Colson's friendship, my heart says damnit and accepts it... Let's let our boys be happy and make up for all their sins. I also wish we got more context with benji story before this.

This is the perfect ending of the series, and I'm really happy to know all these great guys, their life's stories, their struggles, their love, and even all those adorable kids.

Teach Me To Sin is the best MMM book I've read and I'm OBSESSED! These guys are all broken, messy, and damaged and aren't even thinking about a relationship when they meet. But they keep being drawn to one another and somehow their jagged edges line up to form something beautiful and unexpected.

"All the bad decisions are already made. All the breakdowns are scheduled for tomorrow. All the regrets were written in the stars a million years ago. So right now, all you can do is enjoy"

THIS BOOK! It's just so good! It's the final book in Riley Nash's Water, Air, Earth, Fire series and it's such a great way to end it! It's also given me a new fave character in Benji, the only mc we haven't met before, who's a whirlwind of fun, sass, and trauma.
I read both the e-book and the audiobook and highly recommend both. Tim Page who narrates Colson is especially great

I love how all three guys have very distinct personalities and different dynamics within the triad. While they all meet at nearly the same time, the relationships develop at slightly different paces and it's so well written. Initially, Alek and Benji are soft and tender together, Alek and Colson are fire and hate until they let their walls down and let themselves fall, and Benji and Cole are passion and lust. None of these relationships would work long-term with just two of them, they all bring something different to the dynamic and together they form this beautiful, if unconventional, relationship. And their chemistry is ON POINT!

"With a faint whimper, he drags his tongue through Colson’s c*m. He licks it hungrily off my jaw and up toward my cheekbone and that, the moment where perfect Alek desperately laps up the spent c*m of the man he’s supposed to hate, is the push my body needs. I come so hard the world spins, arching my back and trying not to scream as I fill Colson’s throat."

This book's full of filthy hot scenes, tender moments, trauma, healing, sass, redemption arcs, the best nicknames, swimming, navigating societal expectations, falling in love, and a few appearances by other characters in the series.

Plot-wise, there are a few things you might need to suspend disbelief for (like not knowing someone's full name yet being able to purchase an airline ticket for them lol) but they're minor and didn't bother me much.

Teach Me To Sin was, if possible, even better on my second read, and I can't recommend it and the entire series enough!

Writing this review as I read the book…

Alek, Benji, and Colson were an interesting choice to bring together.
This almost felt like a Tal Bauer book with all the unbelievable plot points. An Olympic swimmer at the age of 23 without any previous competitive experience?!? Suspend disbelief 🫣🙄

The dreaded “I’m clean” declarations 🙄🙄🙄 I thought that had been eradicated in mm books but here we are in 2023. We don’t say clean in books anymore. The term to use is “I am negative”

This book was a bit of a mess with a plot that meandered for chapters then a race to get a conclusion for the finish. The pacing was all off. I loved book 1-3 so much I guess my expectations for Alek’s book were too high. To have him fall in love with one of his swimmers seemed like an odd choice and then to have Gray’s cheating ex husband in the mix?!? Even weirder still. This book had some great passages in it but it was surrounded by a mediocre plot. To say I’m disappointed, it’s an understatement. Ugh 😑

Like this quote is beautiful… but unfortunately there was very little of this:

“If being in love means that the hurt you feel with them is better than the happiness you feel without them, then I’m afraid I might be well and truly lost. The kind of lost where no amount of running and breaking will ever turn me back into the man I was before.”

They found love. It was messy. The end

3.5⭐, but definitely rounding it down.

This one didn't work for me. I like MMM relationships very much, but the dynamic between the characters is such a delicate component in books that hardly any do it for me.

I'm very much for being an equal partner and I know it's hard to balance it and I could tell this author tried to make a real effort for nobody staying behind or left out in this throuple, but I'm afraid Alek, who was such a strong, complex, important character in Victor's book - and frankly here also - didn't really get his spotlight.

🔵 Supposed to be enemies to lovers, although I didn't quite feel it
🟣 Age gap - 23/30/40
🟠 Gay-awakening/gay/gay
🟢 Abusive family of one MMC, a big subplot that isn't really resolved on-page
🌶️ Some smut, a few sex scenes that aren't thoroughly developed, the final one at the end of the book penetrative sex; t/vers/b

For the majority of the book there definitely isn't much relationship development between Alek, Victor's friend and co-owner of the swimming center, Benji, a young kind of depressed recreational swimmer from a wealthy family and Colson, Gray's ex.

Benji falls for Alek when they meet, Colson and Benji fall for each other and Alek, who was the only strong character here, is somehow left on the side for most of the time while Benji and Colson enjoy their explosive sexual chemistry.

At about 60% the story starts picking up and the author is trying to get Alek somehow involved into this potential throuple, trying to get him more attention, but I just didn't like it.

Alek was alone and lonely, he was dealing with his gay-awakening, his break-up, the shitshow at work and then Benji on top of it all does an ultimate betrayal that just gets forgotten, like nothing substantial even happened. No drama, no angst, no fights, Benji just ruined everything Alek's worked for and put a target on his back - but that's fiiiine, because Benji's ass is open 24/7, it's fine, all forgotten.

Damn, I felt for Alek. Alek needed to be the center of this story, not some bystander who somehow crawls his way in at the very end.

If this story were based on Alek getting his two guys, I would've loved it, because the dynamic would be dramatically different, but as the story is written it looks like it all revolved around Benji, who was interesting only when him and Alek met.
Colson as the steady rock of this relationship was completely underdeveloped, his input could've been greater for Alek and Alek didn't get the emotional food he was craving - definitely craving from Colson. I didn't find Alek fullfilled. I didn't find him blossoming and enjoying the blissful love he's found. I just couldn't feel that in this story.

Their happy ending - well, was it? Their relationship just seemed like another random relationship with a couple of big words added to the story, but it wasn't that unique or incredible. It wasn't smutty either. I expected a lot of hot sex, but we got one frotting, one unfinished sex scene and the final one who was over in a heartbeat.

The author again waited until the very end to bring some resolve and therefore a lot of things were, again, unresolved.

I'm not saying this series isn't that good - it is, I like the writing, I don't particularly like how the author can't produce one positive female side character and the comparisons between straight and gay and what's better - yeah, we get it, it's fine - and the idea of a plot is good, but the development isn't.

🟡 Best book in the series :

* Make Me Fall

and

* And All Their Stars.

Gray and Jonah - my favourite characters with a great love story.

The end.

don't know what it is about Riley's books that make me feral but I have yet to read a book by him that doesn't change my life completely. Emotional, unique, and utterly breathtaking, these three men felt so real to read, full of depth and passion and complexity. This has to be my favourite MMM book to date and I also absolutely loved how Colson was given a chance to redeem himself after Make Me Fall, I actually grew to love him the most! I really loved the balance of character and plot development, getting to learn about each MCs backstory and the whole complex situation on hand! There was a twist that absolutely blew my mind and I was completely on board for that. I was thrown for a loop with my emotions reading this book and whilst I am sad the series is coming to a close, I feel so grateful I got the chance to read it and love it completely!

Strong start, but a weak finish for me. Oddly enough, it wasn't the MMM of it all that bothered me - it was everything else. I loved the relationship between Alek, Colson and Benji, I just wanted more of it and less of the messy and somewhat ridiculous swimming coach plot line. The writing was great, as usual, but I didn't get the feels I was expecting. No tears shed. No punches to the gut. Not a swoon to be found. But the sex scenes were hot and I laughed a few times so 3 stars it is.

I had to wait before posting this review because this book basically made me insane and I couldn't form any coherent thoughts. Honestly, I still can't but it's okay because everyone needs to know how good this book was. I read this book in 4ish hours because I could not put it down. It was a phenomenal read, truly a perfect ending to this series, though I do hope we might get some bonus scenes because I am definitely not ready to say goodbye. Riley? Please?

This exceeded every single one of my expectations. I was so excited when I found out this book was going to be Colson and Alek + a mystery third person yet to be introduced. Colson and Alek are both "villains" in previous books so I was highly anticipating seeing how they were going to come together. Colson is Gray's ex husband who is a bit cynical and ready to leave his life behind and disappear. Alek, we first meet as an old friend of Victor, who is trying to escape a horrible legacy left by his father. Benji was the perfect addition to complete the trio with his need for affection and both Colson and Alek's subconscious need to give it to him (and to each other). He was so intriguing from the first time we see him on page, I thought he fit really well with both Colson and Alek. All three men had so much love to give, and it was torture in the best form waiting for all three to get on the same page.

I am a big MMM romance fan. Not everyone is able to write MMM in a way that feels natural and inevitable but Riley truly gets all the stars and kudos for how well written this was. There was never an instance where I felt like Alek, Colson, or Benji were left out. The three as a whole and even the one on one dynamics between the characters felt genuine. I loved the banter, but also the gentleness that the characters had for one another even during some of the more intense steamy scenes. Even when it was rough it was sweet.

This book really did it for me - Colson, Alek, and Benji are now so dear to my heart. The love they all shared was so touching and I'm truly not doing this book justice with this review; it was so beyond beautiful there aren't enough words.

If being in love means that the hurt you feel with them is better than the happiness you feel without them, then I'm afraid I might be well and truly lost. The kind of lost where no amount of running and breaking will ever turn me back into the man I was before.

I received an arc from the author and this is my honest review.

Thanks to GRR for the arc ❤️

(Time for the formal review but to summarise my thought it’s like🧍‍♂️🧍‍♂️🧍‍♂️♨️🥵🐕🐕❤️🧡💛💚💙❤️‍🔥❤️‍🩹🔥😭🦖🏠💕💕)

Once again Riley has absolutely blown me away with another incredible story.

“Teach Me To Sin” features two characters we’ve met before, Alek from book one and Colson from book two, and a new character called Benji. Alek is still struggling in the aftermath of the things his father has done when he finds Benji swimming in a pool. Alek immediately notices a talent in him and tried to persuade Benji to let him be his coach. Unfortunately with the sins of Alek’s father hanging over him, becoming a coach isn’t going to be easy, which is where Colson comes in to offer legal advice.

These three struggle through so much during the book, especially Alek. I wanted to give him all the hugs and just protect him. The hurt/comfort was strong here but that is one of my favourite things about reading a Riley Nash book, I can always count on some big hurting but also the best kind of comfort too.

I haven’t read many poly romances before because I always worry that one character will feel more left to me, or that I’ll only feel the connection between two of them and not all three, but that was definitely not the case here. I couldn’t imagine a world where these three were not together, having one of them missing just wouldn’t feel right and I don’t think any two of them could last together without the third.

Characters from previous books make some appearances too in this so I would advise anyone planning to read this to read books one and two first! It does say you can read it as a standalone but I really feel like you’ll miss out on the intensity of Alek’s background if you skip over book one. Book three isn’t a necessary read before this but there is a very subtle and cool reference to it hidden in the book.

This was such a wonderful ending to the series, and also makes me sad to think of it being over 😭 I have loved this series so much and all it’s characters and I can’t wait to reread the series all over again.

5⭐️ LOVED LOVED LOVED. This is probably by favorite MMM book to date. Beautifully written, sweet, angsty, hurt/comfort with an undercurrent of mystery and suspense. I laughed and cried!

Colson, Alek, and Benji’s dynamic is soooo good.
So damn sweet.

It’s a double age gap, so they’re 40, 30, and 23…
Grumpy cynical Daddy
meets
Lonely overworked sweetheart
meets
Flirty, touch-starved golden retriever

It’s an amazing dynamic I never knew I needed. I love how much these broken men just lived to help and support one another. Their passion and love is palpable.
I’m so sad this series is over. I love this group so much and hope to see more of them in the future!

•minor spoilers if you haven't read the rest of the series•

This entire series was just perfection. I jumped at the chance to get this ARC, and have been impatiently waiting because I knew it was going to be so good. I was not disappointed, it's an amazing conclusion to the series by Riley Nash!

Alek is Victor's (Hold Me Under) old teammate and also his partner in their swimming nonprofit. Years later he's still trying to heal from the emotional trauma of his father's crimes. Colson is Gray's (Make Me Fall) ex-husband who's not looking for any responsibility or anything that can tie him down. Enter Benji, an untrained swimmer who comes from nowhere and brings them all together. Alek and Benji want to train together, but Alek needs Colson's legal help because of his family's reputation.

I'm not the biggest fan of poly relationships. This, however, was absolutely perfect. They all meet as strangers, and all have this undeniable draw to one another. They try fight it, but whenever they are together it's impossible to ignore. Colson for the first time in his life sees two people he wants to care for and protect. He tries to let them go but keeps being drawn back. Benji adores Alek because he's the first person to see something special in him, and Colson is supportive and protective of Benji. Alek needs both of them to help him find his way out of his past. Their dynamic has such an even give and take, no one is ever left out and all of their relationships between one another progresses equally.

There's something about Riley Nash's writing that I just love and I'm always pulled in from the first chapter. Everything about this story felt really realistic. There were points where I had no idea how they would get to their HEA. This story has 3 POVs as it's a poly relationship, and each character got the perfect amount of time and exposure. It was done really well and it made the story just that much better.

I loved seeing Victor and Gray as side characters. Victor always holds a special place in my heart and I love knowing Gray is still living his best midwest family life. There's drama and angst, lies and secrets, but this trio makes it out to a well deserved HEA. I honestly could read so much more about them, I was so sad when it ended! This series has been so perfect for me and I can't wait to see what else Riley Nash puts out.

Read if you like:
• poly relationships
• swimming
• hurt/comfort
• age gap

Okay I don’t even know where to start with this review????

Ima start easy I guess with the side characters. I loved Victor and Gray in their books so seeing them make appearances throughout this book made me very happy and emotional. They both have come such a long way🥹

Okay but Colson, Benji, and Alek. wow they are three completely broken, damaged, and alone souls who thought they didn’t deserve anything and some how found their way to each other. My heart hurt for each of them for completely different reasons.

You could feel the instant connection between Alek and Benji and how they just fit together so perfectly and how Colson is the person that both Alek and Benji need. How Colson wanted to be what they needed.

“There’s no point in fighting for anything else. We’re three strangers held together by lust and a tower of lies that just came crashing down. All we can do now is try to escape the wreckage.”

The three of them are perfect together and I didn’t feel like one of them was kind of there like in other MMM books I’ve read. Riley did an amazing job of writing their dynamic. Their personalities are so different but they all work perfectly.

Every couple from this series holds a special place in my heart now🥹

Alek spent years building a life that wasn’t defined by his father’s sins. His girlfriend, a thriving nonprofit & safe dreams, should have been enough. Becoming a professional swimming coach was out of the question, until he shows up. Benji's intoxicating, an incredible swimmer, & makes him filled with want- to be his coach, to be his. But opening a coaching program will be a PR nightmare & the only lawyer who will help him, doesn't even like him. Colson is rude as he is sexy. One night with the is the fuel needed to feel alive again and now his carefully controlled world is starting to break. His life's work is on the line but so is his heart. Because he's not sure he can live without either of them.

A L E K:
“.. because if I didn't have his swim team, I didn't have anything. Safety, security, a reason to exist. Any kind of love.”

C O L S O N
“But Gray saw what I was years ago- selfishness all the way down.”

This review look's a little different. Where I USUALLY talk about each character individually. I CAN'T do that this time. Because these 3? they're simply, just meant to be, FATED SOULMATES.

A&B&C
They were 3 BEAUTIFUL broken boys, that were made to believe that they damaged BEYOND repair, not worthy enough of LOVE or LIFE.
They each were what the other NEEDED:
-Alek is the sensitive soul, the sweet, ADORING dreamer that makes the other 2 believe in goodness, in perfection. He's the CALM that's needed to BREATHE even when all he wanted to do was DROWN. .
-Benji is VITAL. Completely & utterly NECESSARY to bring joy to the other 2. The constant reminder that there's still a lot of life to LIVE .
-&Colson is the STRENGTH that Alek & Benji need to survive,. He's the PROTECTOR- willing to RISK it all for them. He's not selfish, he just needed his reason & he found TWO.

Their connection AND chemistry was PALPABLE very early on. Whenever there was a scene between the 3, the ADORATION that jumped out of the pages? it felt so fxckn REAL, like I was able to easily grab.

“If being in love means that the hurt you feel with them is better than the happiness you feel without them, then I'm afraid I might be well and truly lost..”

Like, ALWAYS. I have to be 100& honest here. Poly books are not my PREFERENCE. BUT I had to give this a try because it's RILEY NASH! I mean.. how could I not? He's the Hurt/Comfort KING & I was sooooo fxckn glad I did.
Teach Me to Sin made me FEEL what other Poly books FAILED to do, which was to see an EQUALLY, LOVING, bond between the 3. & I DEVOURED every single moment of it.
Their individual PAIN? BROKE ME, just BAWLED my eyes out. Their playfulness, made me LAUGH. The SMUT was delicious but their LOVEwas INTENSE like fire. Standing Ovation, Riley! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

POETIC, raw, & EMOTIONAL - words I use to describe Riley's writing. So if you love how his stories make you FEEL.. you'll LOVE Teach Me to Sin.

*Thank you to Riley Nash & team for the ARC & as always all thoughts/opinions are honest & my own.

Reread #1 - October 24, 2023

It's only been a few months since I read this one but once I saw it was coming out on audio I knew I had to experience Benji, Alek, and Colson narrated. I am so happy to report I loved all 3 narrators and how they brought these men to life. It even made me fall a little more in love with them all.

The way Riley weaves together these three men in such an organic way is gorgeous. There are hesitations and vulnerabilities galore - each men is fighting something personal. But the way their different connections, and dynamics play out there is never any doubt that the three of them have something special that only works when they are all together. (MMM written to perfection).

First Read - August 21, 2022

Wow. This blew me away. What an ending to one of my very favorite series ever! This was the perfect conclusion to an emotional and stunning series focused on damaged, flawed men finding love. Full of hurt-comfort, swoon-worthy scenes, some of the best characterization I have ever read and all the feels.

I will say when I heard this was about Alek, and Colson and another I was a tiny bit hesitant. While I knew I could fall in love with Alex and that he would be redeemable - I had some doubts on Colson. But wow - how wrong I was! I fell HARD for Colson and understood him. I was so happy to see him working on maintaining a friendship with Gray and going through such emotional growth 😍 Now I can't not mention our other men - Benji was adorably amazing. He was a mix of bratty, golden retriever, and wounded lonely boy. I adored him instantly! And Alek - sweet, traumatized Alek. He needs all the love and protection in the world and luckily his men are going to give that to him!

I could literally write an essay on my love for all three of these men but I won’t. Just read this book and come scream with me 🙏

Now - the relationship. This was a hard road - they were all reluctant to start a relationship but could not stay away from each other. This is truly the best poly book I have ever read BY FAR. The way they all complimented each other, their dynamics. Just 👌👌 I usually find myself preferring the dynamic of a certain two in a poly relationship (just by the way it is written) so I tend to not pick them up very often. But this one - this one I could NEVER. These three just were meant to be together. All of them. Each one brings a different dynamic. No two of them would ever be able to work long-term without the third. They need the balance of all their personalities.

This was stunningly beautiful. Riley captured my heart with his debut Hold Me Under and I’m still just as enamored today with his writing. I cannot wait to read whatever comes next from him (*ahem* Tate).

A couple other standouts:
- the zoo tycoon scene
- Victor (always)

Quotes (because I highlighted almost 500 - you know the struggle is real):

“I don’t know what’s going to happen. But I don’t care, because it’s you.”

“Whether I get to spend five more minutes with you, or five hundred years. I would do anything.”

“If being in love means that the hurt you feel with them is better than the happiness you feel without them, then I’m afraid I might be well and truly lost.”

I’m not crying - you’re crying... I'm already looking forward to a reread once this comes out in audio 👌

'For a breathless moment, caught between Alek's pounding heart and Colson's piercing stare, I feel like the centre of the universe. I pull the stars to me and hold them in balance. I can send this moment spinning any direction I want.'

Teach Me to Sin is very appropriately dubbed the 'fire' book in Riley Nash's elements series, because it is easily the hottest book of them all. But what else would you expect from a MMM, double-age gap, trainer x student romance?

This book follows Alek (Victor's friend/rival from Hold Me Under), Colson (Gray's cheating ex-husband from Make Me Fall), and Benji, a young amateur swimmer with his own dark secrets. When Alek sets his heart on starting his own swimming coaching program, the three men find themselves entangled both professionally and personally, and have to decide whether their newfound relationship is worth burning for.

I love how different each of the men are, and yet how perfectly they fit together. Alek is a highly-strung and vulnerable baby-gay, just craving the opportunity to surrender control; Colson likes to believe that he's selfish, but he can't resist being the caretaker of the group; and Benji is the bratty little firecracker who pulls everyone together.

The MMM dynamics in this story were so unique, and I can honestly say that at no point did I feel that anyone was a third wheel. Something about these three just works, and it felt completely natural and right. Whilst this definitely isn't the filthiest book I've read, the spice in this story was on another level from the rest of the series.

I enjoyed the overall plot of the book, and I felt like it perfectly tied together the rest of the series. All of the characters story arcs are flawlessly intertwined, and this book gives closure to some plot points from the other books.

The only thing I wasn't fully on-board with was the insta love/lust dynamic, as that's a trope I'm personally not a fan of. I prefer to read deep connections forged over time, however Riley Nash still created a believable bond between the three main characters and had me frothing at the mouth for them.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I feel like it was a great send-off for the series. I only wish that I could go back and read them all again for the first time now!

Wow. Yeah. Okay.

Someone wants me and believes in me for the first time, and I can't go back to being invisible.

This was an emotional roller coaster.
We meet three very different men: Alek, who desperately tries to create the better world even though his father's horrible sins lurk like a dark shadow over his name, Benji, a bit mysterious and bratty guy who finds joy in swimming, and Colson, retired lawyer who believes he is the most selfish person in the world and has nothing to give to others. The story is unfolding from 3 POVs and that's how it feels rich and you get all the feelings.

"He chased me, then I chased him, and now I guess we're all chasing each other."

Since the beginning you can feel the tension, attraction and all the hurt at the same time. The one thing I'm sure of in this life that Riley can write hurt. It doesn't happen very often when I become so irritated and shocked by the turn of events that I have to put a book aside and distance myself from it for a few hours (because it's impossible to make it longer since I'm desperate to know what happens next). This book fit into this category perfectly. There certainly were times where I struggled to see the perspective of HEA - these three go through so much secrets, lies and inner obstacles that half time I was convinced someone still will get hurt.
Anyway, the feels and bond in this story is everything. I loved how Alek, Benji and Colson are all equals in their relationship. There is no power inbalance - just three men caring for each other. Each of them brings something: let it be playfulness, steadiness or a sense of discipline. They work hard for this relationship and even they are all damaged in their own way, giving up is not an option. Of course, hot scenes are super hot but this and I felt myself blushing sometimes even though I have pretty steady smut reading face. But in the end, it's all about the deep and sincere feelings.

Walking between them is always the safest and most empowering feeling in the world.

I'm not an expert on MMM romance but I have a strong feeling that the bar is set so high I can't even see it.
A fan of poly relationship? Gay awakening and first times? Age gap? Forced proximity? Hurt/comfort? This is definitely for you! Don't miss it.

*I received an ARC of this book and believe me it's an honest review. I really really loved it.*
