Deep under the Earth’s surface lies Skull River City, home of the undead; vampires, ghouls, monsters, mummies, werewolves and demons. They’re all good friends.
But a terrible crime has been committed: Skull River City’s blood supply has been stolen. Life gets tough for the undead.
Vampire Vince and Rocky Werewolf are upset at first that they won’t be able to get their favourite bloodshakes, but when they learn that without fresh blood their friend Gretel Ghoul will die, indeed all of Skull River City will die, they spring into action and go on a perilous quest to recover the missing blood and uncover a criminal mastermind.

It’s a funny, action packed graphic novel. The black and white pictures work really well, a little bit scary but not too scary. It’s not, perhaps, a book for younger children, but 8 plus, even 7 plus should be fine with it. My 9 year old found it really entertaining.

Features: Monsters, mild horror themes, but nothing really scary.
Ages: 7 to 10
