I Hate You

Rate this book
Faith Appleton doesn’t like Gabriel Finch.

He's dangerous, scary, and getting involved with him would be the worst thing to do. When he knocks on her door late one night, he has an ultimatum. Her brother, who she is guardian of, is an addict. For drugs, he was willing to sell his sister and their home for anything he could get his hands on. To save her brother, she has to become Gabriel’s toy.

Gabriel is used to getting what he wants. From the moment he first met Faith, he wanted her, but he knew she would never fall for a man like him. He’s cold, hard, and knows only the harshness of life. To get what he wants, he is also willing to lie.

Her brother didn’t come to him offering up his sister. Nigel came to him for help. He wanted to get clean. So Gabriel will give him that, and in return, he is going to have Faith. She thinks it is just for one month. No, Gabriel has other plans. He wants to keep her, and the way to do that, get her pregnant.

Faith hates him. He’s a horrible person. A jerk. Mean. Vile. At least, that was what she first thought. Gabriel is never horrible to her. He is kind, considerate, sweet, charming, but she knows there is a deadly man inside. A man she couldn’t possibly fall in love with. He refused to wear a condom. She should hate him. But … she can’t hate him.

She has fallen in love with a man she had sworn to hate.

Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound.
She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.

This author is very hit or miss with me. And this was a hit!

I loved it! I loved how devious the hero was in getting the heroine and I loved the heroines softness and sweetness in taming him. Although, I think I would’ve liked it if there was a bit more push/pull, with the heroine hating and resisting the hero for a bit longer. Still, it was good. I enjoyed it. It put a smile on my face and isn’t that the point of a romance?

Safe. Hero’s past is mentioned briefly, mostly in context of what he’s done new with the heroine. The heroine is a virgin and belongs only to her hero. No others, no cheating, no sharing, no abuse. Some discussion of hero’s criminal history, but nothing on page. HEA with epilogue 10 years out.

Too much telling than showing, so many things off page, to many time jumps.
All way to fast, and with this many holes in the plot i couldn't care enough about the couple

Making life happy

The author has outdone herself with this book. I absolutely love the characters! They are sweet, almost too sweet for the world they live in, and each has taken a different path to make it through. In Gabriel they found the glue they needed to pull them all together. And Faith turned them into the family they wanted to become until they celebrated so many years together. I loved watching the story unfold and the glimpse at the HEA and testament to their success. This book is a fantastic weekend read, and I’m looking forward to what comes next.

Third person POV is difficult to read for many however Crescent has done a fantastic job writing in this POV!!

Sam Crescent brings us a story of a young woman, who has spent her years raising her brother after their parents passed away. Over the years, her brother gets himself into a nasty situation and has debts to pay...Unfortunately for our FMC (Faith), her brother (Nigel) offers her as a trade for his freedom to one of the most notorious men (MMC, Gabriel) in the city.
Gabriel has been obsessed with Faith since he first laid eyes on her and see's this as the perfect opportunity to woo her.

Their whirlwind romance escalates VERY quickly, to where within a week, Gabriel is finding ways to keep Faith in his grasp forever... and Faith is falling for him too.

"I missed you today."
"I missed you too." What the hell was she saying? This man was supposed to be a monster. She hated him with all her heart, only... she didn't.
She didn't hate him at all.
Not even a little bit.

The characters in this story are written okay, however, as a reader we don't learn much about them beyond the surface. It would have been great to get a bit more background on Gabriel's life as we are told he has been infatuated with Faith for quite some time. Having a past tense of the first time they met and more detail on him sending her things anonymously (does he stalk her too?) would have been helpful to grasp a deeper understanding of how he feels towards Faith and who he is as a person. Gabriel being a bad man is insinuated but not shown on page.

His infatuation combined with Faith's naivety and inexperience creates an "insta-love" relationship between the MC's...Within the first few days, Gabriel is insisting on impregnating Faith, which seems VERY fast so having an explanation in his past infatuation would have helped make this feel less weird.
**Just a heads up to others who may also not vibe with this, there is A LOT of pregnancy talk throughout the story.

Based on the blurb, I had higher expectations for this
This is a good book as a quick read but if you like plot heavy books with thorough descriptions, this isn't the book for you.
The whole relationship is very fast paced and ideal for readers who enjoy a 0-100 love story!

The plot largely revolves around Nigel's recovery from his addiction and Gabriel keeping Faith close to him and not allowing the siblings to connect-which seems to be due to him wanting to keep secrets.

Gabriel does prove to be sweet, however his little lies build up over time-he lies to get what he wants (Faith) by technically kidnapping her and then taking advantage of his knowledge of her love of her mother, and the things that keep Faith connected to her mothers memory.
After all the lies, Faith forgives Gabriel without really taking into consideration the reality of her situation...very naive.

"I'd like to dip my toes into the ocean."
He let her go and he watched as she kicked off her sandals, picked them up, and ran toward the water. She spun toward him, laughing, and he knew in that one moment, he loved her.

Gabriel (H) is powerful, used to getting what he wants, and he’s decided he wants Faith (h). He informs her that her drug addicted brother, Nigel, was trying to sell their family home and Faith’s virginity, and if Faith wants Nigel to be safe, then she’ll become Gabriel’s woman for the next month. Faith is horrified but gives in to Gabriel’s demands, willing to do anything to save Nigel. Things quickly heat up between Gabriel and Faith, but as she spends more time with Gabriel, Faith’s finds it harder and harder to hold on to her hate for Gabriel. Gabriel’s methods are controlling and manipulative, but even though he professes to know nothing about love, his actions are so sweet, caring, and supportive of Faith. Ultra-hot and steamy dark romance with a possessive man who’ll do anything to make the woman he comes to love his.

the book didn’t live up to the blurb

This book had so much that the blurb promised but never delivered on.
It boasts about how much Faith hates Gabriel, but you don’t see that in the book. From the beginning she goes along with everything, never showing any attitude towards him. Like wearing the dress he insisted on. It would’ve been perfect if she showed up that first time in her own clothes, giving a little backbone on the initial day, feigning ignorance to his demands. She could’ve begged for him not to touch her that first night, instead of willingly giving in.
The blurb also insinuated that Gabriel was the worst of the worst, but this is never shown on page. He claims he’s a bad guy, Faith states repetitively that he is no good, but his actions never follow through. A scene with him beating the shit out of somebody or pulling the trigger at a person (whether a lethal shot or not) would’ve done wonders for his creds. As the book is written, he’s a softie with loads of tattoos.
The only reason we know he is cold, hard, and knows only the harshness of life is because the author tells us that, never shows us.
Now about her virginity… true, it’s hard to believe a woman in her late 20s is still a virgin. Luckily, I found the story plausible. She was 18 when her parents died, and her world became looking after her brother. Between parenting a preteen and having to work to keep a roof over their head, I can believe she didn’t think about dating.
It was much harder for me to believe that Gabriel had never kissed a woman before because he wasn’t sure where their lips had been. So what, if Faith wasn’t a virgin would he have never kissed her? If he had used the Pretty Woman excuse that kissing on the lips was too intimate, that I would’ve bought. I also had issues about him never going down on a woman, just didn’t mesh with the man he was portraying.
Another mark in the just average reading column - there was absolutely no drama of any kind in this short read. Anything would’ve been welcome. Without drama this book had a one tone feel from beginning to end, making me beg and plead that the needle fluctuate.
I liked all the characters, they just didn’t match the characters that were in the blurb. It was an average read, not great, but not bad.

3.5stars— I HATE YOU by Sam Crescent is a stand alone, contemporary, adult, dark, erotic, romance focusing on businessman Gabriel Finch, and twenty six year old, fashion consultant Faith Appleton.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual omniscient third person perspectives (Gabriel and Faith) I HATE YOU follows in the wake of Faith’s brother Nigel’s spiral out of control. Nigel Appleton is desperate, and offers up his sister to mobster Gabriel Finch for a price but Gabriel wants something more. Forcing Faith into a relationship was easy. Using her brother’s addiction was even easier but keeping Faith was going to be a problem when Gabriel’s lies are discovered by our story line heroine. What ensues is the building but forced relationship between Gabriel and Faith, and the potential fall-out as their time draws to a close.

The world building is limited, focusing mainly on the sexual relationship between our story line couple, and the ongoing ruse by our story line ‘hero’. Gabriel is desperate for Faith’s love and attention, his need for Faith precipitates their introduction; his desire pulls Faith into his arms, his bed and his heart.

The relationship between Faith and Gabriel is predicated upon a lie . Faith is led to believe she was payment for a debt, a payment that would find our couple falling in love. The $ex scenes are provocative and intense.

I HATE YOU is a story of secrets and lies, power and control, obsession and desperation, acceptance and love but I thought there was more telling than showing. The fast paced premise is entertaining and intriguing; the romance is seductive and intense; the characters are desperate and determined if not a little bit naive.

Faith had been bringing her brother up since he was 11 due to their parents been killed in a car crash. They had the best upbringing, surrounded by love a happy home and then one night Everything changed. Faith always got on well with her brother Nigel but he had gone off the tracks as he got older now, he was into drugs, he was just a wreck and Faith was worried sick about him. She hasn’t seen him for a few days when there is a knock at her door and out side she finds Gabriel Finch. He is your worst nightmare he’s a gangster. Everyone fears him and faith tried to stay under his radar but it seems her brother hasn’t.
When Gabriel walked into Faiths home. He could tell she hadn’t changed anything since she had lost her parents at the young of the age of 18. She took on her brother because she didn’t want him to go into care. And Gabriel wanted her. And now he had his in. You see, Gabriel tells her that Nigel was selling her off to pay off his debts claiming she was still a virgin, and Gabriel took him up on that offer paid off all his debts, and now she had to decide whether to spend a month as his toy or something bad would happen to Nigel. And he knew Faith would jump at any opportunity to help Nigel.
Not all is what it seems, because the attraction and the chemistry these two have together is off the charts and Gabriel is going to use every single opportunity. He has so faith will stay with him. Faith sees a different side of Gabriel but would it be enough?? I thoroughly enjoyed this book and was gutted when it came to an end.

Faith is the sweetest person she lost her parents to an accident leaving her responsible for her little brother who was an angel up until he reached teenage years where he went all the way left, he started running with the wrong crowd, doing drugs and becoming one very large pain to his sister so much so that he tries to sell the house from under her, even tries to sell her virginity for drugs. Gabriel sexy as all get out not such a nice guy but has always had a thing for the one women he couldn’t have or thought he couldn’t have so when her brother comes to him for help or more like to sell him their home without his sisters knowledge and that is his way in using that to get what he wants giving her no options but one he will help her brother in return she must give herself to him for one month. Gabriel knows she will do anything to save her brother even be his women for a month his goal is to hopefully help her get to know him and show her that there is more to him then his reputation just maybe she will see past the rumors but can she see past the lies ones she learns the truth, will she give him a chance, can a love grow under the circumstance that were created to make her be with him, can she accept the truths he forced her to face, can he accept the truths she forced him to face, is there a middle ground for them, and can they find happiness between it all?

Gabriel Finch is a dangerous and powerful man. He sets his sights on the shy introvert, Faith Appleton, and decides he’s going to take her for himself. Faith hates the man that has taken her captive and forced her into this relationship. It doesn’t take long for Faith to realize that Gabriel may be a horrible man, but he’s nothing but sweet and kind to her.

The push and pull between Gabriel and Faith was electric. Gabriel was all the things we love in a book boyfriend — dominating, dirty in all the best ways, but sweet and gentle. He knew just how to get Faith out of her hermit shell and force her to enjoy life again. It was obvious that Gabriel was always in love with Faith, but it was a slower burn for Faith to come to terms with her true feelings for him. My only complaint was the Gabriel didn’t have to do more groveling once Faith found out he lied to her and made her think the worst of her brother. She forgave him a little too quickly for my liking. Overall, however, this was a great book!

Tropes: Contemporary romance, dark romance, forced proximity, captive romance, virgin heroine, enemies-to-lovers, breeding, happily-ever-after
Heat: 3/5.

This is quite a short story by Sam Crescent.

Gabriel Finch wasn't a good man, he had climbed from nothing to the top of the tree, he was arrogant, he was wealthy but his wealth wasn't gained legally, and he was feared, he had one weakness, he was attracted to Faith Appleton and he would make her his by fair means or foul.

Faith's parents had died and she was left to care for her young brother, Nigel, she had no life outside her work, she was dedicated to raising Nigel as her parents would have wished but she was guilt ridded, blaming herself for the path that Nigel had chosen, he was doing drugs in a big way.

Gabriel saw his chance, he would blackmail Faith into being his for a month, in return he would pay for her brothers medical bills to get him clean…… oh, and he did bend the truth a bit to Faith.

This story follows Faith and Gabriel's month together, she hated him…….or did she ? Faith was allowed to see Gabriel's tender side, a side that he showed to no one, she couldn't possibly fall in love with a villain…… or could she ?

I think that this story could have been expanded a bit, it seemed a bit rushed at the end but it was quite enjoyable.

“She spun toward him, laughing, and he knew in that one moment, he loved her.”

Forget the blurb. This book is nothing like how it sounds. There is no subplot, no angst, no betrayals or violence, nothing beyond Gabriel and Faith’s love story. And it’s wonderful. Gabriel was such a surprise. I was sure he was going to be another hard, cruel hero that is eventually healed by the right woman. He sure tried to convince both Faith and himself that he was. But he wasn’t. Love at first sight is hard to make believable but I found I really do think Gabriel fell instantly in love with Faith. Due to his background and upbringing he just had no idea how to deal with his feelings or what to do with them. So he tricked her and forced her to be with him, never considering the possibility that she could ever love him back. I wish there had been more in the middle, showing Faith falling in love with him but the end still felt complete. You’ll need to ignore all the editing errors as well as the inconsistencies and errors that, unfortunately, are often found in Sam’s books. It’s worth it, though, as this story is a true delight and a very enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours.

This novella is a feel good contemporary romance with a little spice. The MC’s share abandonment issues and a sense of determination. The author succeeds in making them likeable. Gabriel Finch and Faith Appleton’s paths cross when her brother offers the deed to their family home in exchange for drugs. Gabriel, who owns legal and illegal establishments, has known about Nigel’s drug addiction and plans to capitalize upon it to secure Faith as his mistress… maybe something more permanent. He knows that she will do anything for Nigel, since she feels responsible for him and feels like she’s failed in parenting him. This story explores the lengths Gabriel will go to in order to obtain a family that he’s never had, and what Faith will do to secure the only one she does have. It’s a good read and my first by this author. The story has to be worth a reread for 5 stars, but this does not diminish its value as a book worthy of reading. For me, it’s worth 4 stars. POV- 3rd person

Genre- Erotica

Sub Genre- Contemporary Romance

Heat- This review is brought to you by the letter C, in honor of all the C words used to describe the parts.

Series? N

Safety: No Cheating/Sharing, No OM/OW Drama, No S. Violence.

HEA/HFN? Y

Triggers- Language, Explicit Erotic Content

What I liked- The hot scenes (*fans self*). I also liked that they grew their relationship. It was delightful when he wooed her with food.

Quote that made me melt: “She spun toward him, laughing, and he knew in that one moment, he loved her.” (*swoon*)

What I didn’t- there wasn’t much I didn’t like. I did find her a bit naive, but this was not a major issue. And that Chicken Kiev made me hungry.

Verdict- recommended. This is hot, sweet, and fun.

Faith hated Gabriel. The only problem is that she really doesn’t. She has been taking care of her brother for 7yrs and now, his rebellion has put in in a bad place, hooked on drugs. Worse than that, her brother has offered up her as payment. Gabriel is aware that Nigel needs to get clean. But he is tempted by his sister. He has wanted Faith since her first saw her. So what if he lied. He just needs the chance to get close to her and make her his. Ok, yes, Gabriel shouldn’t have done it. Lying will always catch up to you. But he wasn’t a bad guy. He was helping Nigel. Faith was his temptation and wasn’t about to give her up. At first I thought he was horrible but now, you understand him better. He is doing a great many things to help. It broke my heart when Faith was putting herself down. She is a woman that deserves love and being taken care of. You have to give it to Gabe, he was no monster. He actually cared about her. Everyone finds a HEA.

I Hate You comes in at 4/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ and 3.5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⚡ for story. Faith and her brother Nigel are making their way in the world, trying to be something after being left orphans by a tragic death of their parents. Nigel turned to drugs and sought help, but the ulterior motive of Gabriel has Faith in his sights.

He is not a good man, but he falls hard for the virgin, Faith. Together they work out what shouldn't be, and realize it actually is exactly what it should be.

I did really enjoy the epilogue and ending.

Found family, breeding kink, drug abuse and forced relationship are the tropes in this book.

Although I enjoyed it and it was a quick read, the "evilness" and villain in Gabriel fell a little flat for me. Although he manipulated Faith and Nigel to get his own way, the insta love was kind of hard to buy. I would have loved to see a little more resistance at first for Faith.

Gabriel Finch comes off the pages as yep it is me and she is mine. Faith reminded me so much of myself I wasn't sure if the story was a diary entry or fiction.

I love how Sam dealt with addiction...told it would it being over-bearing or insulting to the reader. You could feel every emotion and early on you find that Gabriel is not anything what other see his as but a man who wants love but doesn't think he deserves it or believes he can love...Faith brought it out of him.

I love that Gabriel understood human nature and saw Faith no only for who she was but what she was to him that is why he did what he did. By the end he knew his only weakness and strength all was rolled up in Faith...I still don't think she realizes her hold over him but she feels his love and that is really all she will ever need from Gabriel.

Sam Crescent has a way of making a character like Gabriel, someone who lies about something as horrible as being offered up as payment for drugs and is not really someone you would think of as a generally nice guy into someone that you actually end up rooting for and look for redeeming qualities in him. While at the same time giving us wonderful female leads that with first glance may not seem like much but are a wonderful well developed characters that are prove that you can be kind and strong. Faith is a wonderful character, just trying to take care of her brother and will do whatever it takes to keep him safe. The deal with Gabriel does just that but also provides her with something see was missing that she didn't realize she was. I loved it and will continue to go back to anything Sam Crescent writes.

This book had me hooked! It was well written and all the characters were well developed. I love how the FMC is the antithesis to the MMC. She’s sweet and soft while he is all hard edges. One thing that I do wish is that there was a little more push and pull in their relationship especially given the lies that surround them. However I did really enjoy the book and it was all around very good.

This is a dual pov story, so if that bothers you I wouldn’t recommend it. The book has a HEA with an epilogue that’s very well removed from the ending of the story. The one thing that I wish is that the epilogue was a little longer but I did really enjoy the glimpse into the characters lives that you got.

All in all I would highly recommend this book to anyone.

Faith does not like Gabriel Finch, he is a force to be reckoned with in the city. He is dangerous, he scares her, she does her best of avoid him. One night he is at her door, with an ultimatum regarding her brother. Her brother was willing to sell his sister, for drugs. She becomes his toy for a month. and he will make sure her brother gets clean. Gabriel is not actually being truthful, Nigel only came to him for help, and he is using it to his advantage. The plan is to make her his permanently, to get her pregnant.

Faith cannot believe the man, he is a vile human being, forcing her hand. He is a contradiction, she knows who he is but he has never been anything but kind. She is falling for him, then will she be at the end of the month?.

Family first...

Gabriel and Faith were opposites who should not have worked at all. With her brother giving Gabriel the ‘in’ he needed, he had Faith by his side. Exactly where he wanted her. What he didn’t expect was the love for her that soon followed… Believing Gabriel would hurt Nigel, she did what she was asked/told to do. Her parents had asked her to take care of Nigel and that was what she would do. Whatever the cost. Even if it was too high…

A shaky beginning was the start of something bigger than Gabriel could have ever thought of. Alone. No family. He didn’t want any of it. He only wanted her. Soon, her gentle ways and steadfast loyalty meant more than the desire he felt. That journey from want to love was a lesson in humility. And thankfulness.

A hot, steamy read with all the feels!

I was on a Sam Crescent roll with the books I would read of hers that I really liked.
However, I have to say the streak ends when it comes to this book.

Overall, there's nothing just terribly wrong with it. But it seems to sound a lot like some of her other books she writes.

Rich alpha male wants the heroine, but because of his life choices or career, he knows she won't go for him. So rather than make his intentions known and work to be deserving of the heroine they resort to blackmail.
The heroine pretends to fight, but in the end they give in so easily and lets be honest...did they ever actually try to fight the attraction when they fall into bed almost immediately and he's all she ever thinks about?.

What started out as a stalkery, steamy, lust affair with dubious consent, ended as the most romantic happy ending I’ve read in a while. Faith was a virgin and Gabriel was the ultimate bad boy with a heart. He convinces her that her only choice was to be his lover for a month. In exchange, he would help her loser brother kick his drug addiction. She hated the circumstances that brought them together. However, as she got to know him better, she realized that she had real feeling for Gabriel. I absolutely loved their happy ending (and the sweet and spicy middle of the story that got them to that happy ending.) Highly recommend this story. Definitely going into the favorites folder.

Sam Crescent has written another wonderful emotional love story. ‘I Hate You’ is an achingly tender tale of Gabriel’s pursuit of Faith. He’s never had a family or someone to love him: he’s a bad man who does bad things. She’s raised her brother after their parent’s death and has ignored her own hopes and dreams.

Gabriel and Faith’s journey starts with a lie and ultimatum, but their attraction and compatibility grows into a deeper relationship. He’s patient, passionate, and thoughtful with her. She’s compassionate, authentic, and mesmerized by him. I really enjoyed the feelings Sam evoked in this couple!.

I’m normally not into the pregnancy trope especially a sneaky getting the woman pregnant to keep her BUT
After hearing all of the characters backgrounds, seeing their development over the book and all the little details, I quite enjoyed this book.

Gabriel taking pictures of Faiths mothers cookbook was just so sweet, it’s all the little things that make up the bigger picture. I like how Gabriel admits he isn’t a nice person and he has done things, he’s honest (for the most part) and is doing his best to help Nigel in his recovery process.

I normally don’t like reading in 3rd person but found the style of writing made it easier to switch between Faiths POV, Gabriel’s POV and the 3rd person got sneaked in.

First read from this author, I’m happy I’ve found a new author to enjoy 😊

Faith has dedicated her life taking care of her brother fro the age of 18. She has no life because of this. But her brother has lost his ways and is a addict.
In came Gabriel a ruthless leader, he will help her brother in exchange of her belonging to him for a month.
Gabriel may be ruthless or the bad guy but when it came to Faith he was so adorable. I loved how he was with her.
Deep down Faith liked Gabriel but didn't show it. Instead she fought him. They had a lot of spicy moments throughout the book.
What is Gabriel s secret? Why won't he let her speak to her brother? What will Faith do when she finds out the truth?
Excellent quick read.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review and I wish I could say that it's been a pleasure. I was excited for the plot of the book because I do tend to love an unhinged, morally gray MMC. What I got in this book was an unhinged MMC that I'm convinced actually hates women because of his own untreated mommy issues. I took issue with all of the characters in one way or another and it became really hard to finish the book because I found that I hated all of them. The writing style was also just not my cup of tea but it was very well edited as I don't recall noticing many, if any, grammatical or spelling errors. I think if these characters were reworked a little bit, the book itself would be better by leaps and bounds.

A quick easy read that you will enjoy!

Faith and her brother lost both of their parents in a car accident. When Faith was 18 she had to raise her younger brother. Nigel Faith's brother was struggling with addiction. Faith worked and took care of her brother as best as she could even when Nigels struggle with addiction got harder and harder to deal with. Nigel asked his friend Gabriel for help. Gabriel is a dangerous and powerful man willing to help Nigel get clean. Faith hates Gabriel but does she really?

I really enjoyed getting to know the characters and enjoyed the epilogue.

I'm happy that they all got there happy ending🖤

I am looking forward to reading more books by

Too much telling than showing, so many things off page, to many time jumps. He is supposed to be morally gray and unhinged. We only see that when he makes the deal with Faith; any other time we are only told. He is more a softie.

The title is I hate you but she never really hated him. We don't see any anger and no backbone from her.

I liked all the characters, they just didn’t match the characters that were in the blurb. It was an average read, not great, but not bad.

There was no drama in book. I expected much drama. Anything would’ve been welcome. Without drama this book had a flat feel to it.

The epilogue felt out of place.
I would give it 2,5 stars.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
