To the world, I'm the arrogant, talented, billionaire architect and builder Kainoa N’ai.

Down deep, I'm a man who lost my father, my sister, and my homeland in one moment. I'm used to being alone and that's the way I should stay. I've learned again and again that I'm not worthy of love.

Especially hers — Belinda Grayson.

My She-Devil.

The one woman who pushes away the numbness and makes me burn. The woman I can't allow myself to have.

I can't ruin her too.

Not that it matters. She hates me thanks to one earth-shattering kiss we shared years ago. Instead of hanging onto her, I destroyed that moment too and walked away without a backwards glance.

Before she could walk away too.

Now I’m her boss and I’ll never get her out from under my skin.

I don’t want to.

The only acceptable end is her being mine…forever.

Author's note: Welcome to the fifth book in our Brothers Three Orchard series, which is set near Crescent Cove. This is a standalone novel and has a happily-ever-after with no cliffhanger.

Loved it

Kain had always been a mystery in previous books so it was nice to get his back story. After reading this book, I still feel like there is more to him. I loved the slow burn between him and Belles and once it finally burst, everything got steamy. Belles took no nonsense from Kain and he loved that about her. When his family made an unexpected visit, it turned his world upside down. I liked the ending of the book, but I feel like there could be so much more to their story.

**I received this ARC in exchange for a honest voluntary review** The latest installment of The Brothers Three Orchard, chock full of cameos for TQ fans, especially those that were first fans of the duo's rockstars. Here we follow a second chance, enemies to lovers-esque storyline featuring "undercover" billionaire architect turned chef Kain & the woman he spurned 5 years previously, Belinda aka Bells who now works as at the Lodge as an event coordinator. Very much enjoyed the romance aspects of the story, however, I wasn't overly fond of the drama that comes with Kain's family. There's quite a bit still shrouded in mystery for me that I'm hoping & guessing will be answered in the next book. Also, would've loved to have seen a bit more groveling from Kain, considering how stubborn he is & how strong Bells is supposed to be. It was too easy to get over & wrapped up nicely in a pretty package.

Loved getting to know Bells and Kain. The glimpses of the Oblivion crew were spectacular. A quick little catchup!

Kain has so much pain that he has bundled away. Bells has a way of making him lose control, even if only for a moment. They are so strong together.

I have been anticipating Kain's book for what feels like forever and now that it's been in my hands, I want to read it over and over again! Legacy Lost is everything I had hoped it would be. It's funny, emotional, sexy, and beautiful. It's the kind of story that you can easily connect to and find comfort in. The characters are strong, independent, flawed, and real. The story reads as a complete standalone but there are definite spoilers for past books in the Brothers Three Orchard series so keep that in mind if you are jumping in with this as your first book. Either way, you're going to love it!

Bells is such a fun, fiery character. She's super hard-working and driven, strong yet feminine, and has serious balls of steel. Bells doesn't put up with any bs, especially Kain's. Her sharp tongue and quick wit had me laughing out loud many times. Kain is Jason Momoa personified. He's this huge, dreamy, God-like figure with dark stormy clouds constantly circling overhead. He can charm the pants off anyone in 0.3 seconds and uses his sex appeal to its full advantage. Kain and Bells have some jaded history so their love-hate relationship is strong. The witty banter between these two was hilarious. And their chemistry? Absolute FIRE! These two are a force to be reckoned with on their own but together? Pure perfection! Things aren't easy for them but that's what makes their story exciting and fresh.

Taryn Quinn brings out the big guns in this story, in the shape of some of my all-time favorite rockstars. I love how they pepper their stories with past favorites as it always puts a smile on my face. There was so much to love about Legacy Lost, including the introduction of Lennon's future love interest. Sign me up for THAT story, because it's going to be another blockbuster! Don't miss Kain and Bells's story because this one has it all and you'll love every minute of it! 5 stars

Y'all, the ladies have done it again. I have been looking forward to Kain's story since, well, since 'meeting' him and reading the ladies' description of him (wink, wink) didn't hurt, either. Truly larger than life, Kainoa N'ai brings personality and life to Brothers Three Orchard in everything that he does. Enter Belinda 'Bells' Grayson, smart, successful, sexy, one of the best wedding planner that the orchard has to offer. She and Kain are the poster children for frenemies, doing their best to ignore their past interactions, but sparking off each other to no end, making this pairing one for the ages.

It's always a treat to make a visit to Turnbull and the orchard, and LEGACY LOST was exactly the book that I needed right now. I'm a sucker for a love story that is a bit fraught, and Kain and Bells have that in spades. Both of them headstrong, both of them with a space inside that only each other can truly fill, both of them so afraid to trust, this slowish burn but oh, so combustible pairing had me feeling all kinds of ways. These two are perfectly matched, even though it takes a little bit for them to realize, but when they do, be still my heart.

To make things even sweeter, there's Oblivion, mention of Logan King (personal forever favorite), babies, family galore, and plenty of surprises. And while every single TQ book is a favorite, I can easily say that LEGACY LOST is right at the top, and I cannot wait to see more of this crew in the very near future. Do not wait, do not pass go, make sure to grab this one, y'all, and happy reading! ❤️

This series has wonderful grounding in stories with individuals who are wounded or searching and find love, home and family at the Brothers Three Orchard venues. Legacy Lost gives Belinda and mystery Chef Kainoa (seen in the previous book) a second chance to follow up on their brief but electric connection from years before. What starts as a fractious adversarial relationship transforms to the underlying steam heat of their true connection. This read will be catnip for readers who love steamy workplace encounters. Although they both assume their relationship will be superficial, it evolves as they spend more time alone together, particularly at the home he designed tucked away in the hills. Several scenes there are sighworthy. At this point the story becomes touching, romantic and sentimental, as Kain opens to love, giving him the courage to heal longtime family wounds and Belinda learns to trust he will stop running away when he is overwhelmed. There are a couple of scenes in the final quarter of the book that had me in happy sentimental tears as his plans are revealed.

It was also lovely to catch up with Ronan and Kira and longtime fans will be delighted there are cameos from beloved rockstar characters. I love how the authors have truly created a community where each book adds more people to the loving extended family of the Orchard that we have come to know and love through several series. The punch of how they truly are found family was touching and heartwarming and had me reaching for tissues again.

Can’t wait for the next installment in the series as the Orchard works its magic on another couple we got to know as individuals in this story.

This is book 5 in the Brothers Three Orchard series and it absolutely can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading the previous books before this one. Before she could walk away too. Now I’m her boss and I’ll never get her out from under my skin. I don’t want to. The only acceptable end is her being mine…forever.

I always love a good enemies to lovers story, and this one was no different! Kain and Bells have a history that they have to get past before they can have a future. And the road to that future is definitely a little bumpy and twisty, but it's oh so good! Their chemistry is off the charts hot but they also are just genuinely likable characters. They have the banter back and forth that I love from these author's, it just makes the story that much better! And then you throw in some cameo's from my favorite rock stars from their other series? Totally worth reading!!

Another incredible romantic drama from Taryn Quinn.

Five years ago Kain kissed the living daylights out of Bells Grayson and then walked away as if it meant nothing. Now she's forced to work with him at Brothers Three Orchard which means she's forced to put that memory in a box and lock it up. Easier said than done when the guy in question is almost six and a half feet of dark and brooding gorgeousness. If only his hot and cold behaviour wasn't driving her crazy!

Five years ago changed Kain's life forever. He'd lost everything that ever mattered to him. He left Hawaii a broken man. The closest thing he'd found to family again was working with the owners and crew at Brothers Three Orchard in Turnbull, New York. Maybe, a small part of that is the sparring he gets to do with the entertainment coordinator, the woman he wasn't ready for, the woman that hates him, the woman he doesn't deserve.

Bells and Kain have a way to go in building trust again. Kain's habit of running when things get difficult, isn't going to work for Bells. She needs the security and sure knowledge that she can trust Kain to be there for her. But will Kain's past come back to turn their lives upside down?

I received an ARC and freely offer this review.

Taryn Quinn’s Legacy Lost: A Steamy Billionaire Small Town Romance (Brothers Three Orchard Book 5) is an enemy-to-lovers story between The Tap Room’s billionaire chef in hiding, Kain (Kainoa N’ai) and the Brother’s Three Orchard Event Planner Bells (Belinda Grayson). Bells and Kain have a complicated history, where they often find their paths crossing due to mutual best friends and job locations. When Kira, manager of The Tap Room, finds she must go on bed rest due to her health while carrying twins, Kane and Bells can no longer avoid each other as both must help manage the Tap Room and keep the summer events running smoothly. The closer Kane and Bells collaborate to unite events, from bachelorette parties to weddings to a crowded Tap Room success, the more their attraction to one another crackles with heat. The Lost in Oblivion band made cameos when performing at the Orchard, which was a blast since Bells had a few memorable moments at that concert that involved Kane and the band. Kane’s family drama dregs up hurt and reopens festering wounds when a loved one from his past seeks him out. Kane and Bells find their HEA with no cheating or cliffhanger. Legacy Lost is another epic read from Taryn Quin, who has cornered the romance market with their books.

The love story between Bells (Belinda) and Kain was never going to be your typical book romance where the girl sees the guy and swoons immediately.

These two fiercely independent, stubborn and slightly damaged people fight each other and their fierce attraction throughout the book. We get to see that Kain has a softer, broken and vulnerable side behind those huge walls around his heart. You’re rooting for these two to finally get together right from the start given their explosive chemistry.

Bells is everything thing that Kain wants in his life but he is terrified to take a chance in case his issues which have damaged him manage to damage her too. Bells on the other hand is strong enough for to take on this huge Hawaiian mountain of a man and shows him that he is worthy of love and a happy future.

As the fifth book in this series you would think that the stories were getting old but, nope, your thirst for more stories about the men of the Brothers Three Orchard just intensifies with each fantastic book.

There are cameo appearances by rockers, surprise twins, surprise pregnancy, a society wedding and surprise siblings ! This is a wonderful book which keeps you mesmerised right to the end.

If you've been reading the Brothers Three Orchard series, you probably guessed that Kain and Bells were going to have a bumpy road to happiness and guess what? You were right! Kain N'ai is a man of many talents but this multi millionaire has been working as a self taught chef at the Brothers Three Orchard taproom running their kitchen. This is where he runs into Belinda aka Bells Grayson. She's a woman from his past that he had one fleeting moment of happiness with before he ran away in regret. Bells has been angry with Kain ever since that moment and has done her best to not cross paths with him until she accepts a job at the orchard never expecting him to be there as well. Theirs is a complicated relationship that needs to be worked out if they can stop fighting with each other. Legacy Lost is a classic enemies to lovers told from dual POV with lots of laughter, heat (in and out of the kitchen) and angst. Bells and Grayson are complex characters with deep seated issues that will need to be worked on before they can achieve the HEA that they both secretly want. It stands alone in the series however I do recommend going back and reading the rest so that you can truly appreciate the supporting characters.

Animosity set in for Bells some years earlier when Kain started something he didn’t finish and that bitterness looks set to continue when they now find themselves in the same place at the same time, each working at the Brothers Three Orchard.

Both incredibly stubborn, and fiercely independent, they refuse to give into the attraction and palpable tension between them (and boy is there tension). Kain is vulnerable and somewhat broken from the loss of everything important in his life and deals with his stress by continually running away from his problems. Bells is a woman who needs stability, someone she can rely on to be there and not make a swift exit when things get difficult. Nevertheless, there is a pull between them that cannot be ignored and Bells is just the woman to show Kain his worth. They reach a mutual agreement and things soon turn hot and heavy between them and the more time they spend together, the more their relationship deepens.

I love the supporting characters in this book and in this series overall. In Legacy Lost we’re also treated to a cameo performance from the band members of Oblivion, which was great fun. If you love the enemies to lovers trope, you’ll really enjoy Legacy Lost.

Aloha Kain and Bells. I have waited so long for this book to come out, and I was not disappointed. Kain and Bells with their angst and push and pull had me laughing and rooting for them all the way. I first met them in the book Crossing the Line, Shane and Kendall’s story. These 2 characters were so well developed, that I felt like I knew them personally. If I didn’t know better I would visit the Taproom at Three Orchards in Turnbull New York, it feels so real and inviting. These made up small towns have me thinking of them like real places. That’s how well written these books are. I was so happy that Oblivion made an appearance and I got to learn that Lila and Nick were having another baby, that was something I always wondered about. Seeing Shane and Kendall, and Kira and Ronan, Beckett and Helena, was a special treat absolutely amazing. I wish I didn’t have to wait so long for Griffin and Lennon story, It looks to be a hot one.

You know Kain’s story was going to be hot!

Thank you for finally giving Kain to us! The billionaire architect/chef/perpetual charmer finally has his moment in the spotlight, and boy is it a big one. He has such a huge personality, you know it was going to take a real tough, independent and forgiving woman to tame this free spirit.

Bells is not afraid of some hard work as she throws herself into her job event planning at the orchard. It’s a good thing, because it’s going to take plenty of hard work tame a man like Kain. And Bells is definitely up for the challenge.

These two absolutely sizzle together. From their constant bickering that serves as their own unique kind of foreplay to their stolen moments in every nook and cranny of the orchard, you’ll be there for it all. This one definitely does not disappoint. Score one for this enemies to lovers good time!

Kain and Bells have crazy chemistry! And I love it!

Kain is such a strong, powerful, passionate and caring man that it could only take an equally as strong woman to tame him. Bells and Kain have been skirting around their attraction with animosity and as it plays out we get to see how truly in lust and in love those two are for each other. Getting to read them bicker and then turn in to steam filled sessions was brilliant. The Brother’s Three Orchardn is the place to be and getting to read about how everyone is progressing is another treat! The rockstars made an appearance and boy did they rock the scenes they were in for sure!

This fifth book did NOT disappoint. It included all the things that I love about Taryn Quinn and it gave me more than I expected. I am in love and lust with this series!

I have been waiting for Kain's story and WOW did I get more than I asked for!
Kain is the new creative chef at Brother's Three Orchard, but only a few people know who he really is. A billionaire architect who is hiding out from his original home in Hawaii. As I have read about his character I always pictured Jason Momoa.
Bells is the hot redhead he kissed five years ago and because of personal issues and his whole life exploded he ran away from his problems. But never forgot Bells.
Now they are stuck working together at Three Brothers Tap Room and the love/hate banter is non stop anytime they are around each other.
Hate attraction takes a whole new level with this couple and they will light up your pages!!!
Really enjoyed this book and you will be entertained, you will laugh, and oh yes, the steamy pages will want you wanting more!

Kain is gorgeous but damaged by family drama. He thinks himself not worthy of being loved, so tends to stay alone -- plenty of romance, no entanglements. He walks away before things get complicated

Bells Grayson shared a toe-curling kiss with Kain years ago, and when he walked away, she pegged him for a jerk and put him in the "hot but hate" column.

Now they're thrown together working at the orchard. Worse, he's her boss. They figure out how to make it work, and the chemistry they have, well, even they can't deny it. When they give in to their, um, baser needs, WOW. The smexy times do not disappoint.

Legacy Lost is the 5th book in Taryn Quinn's "Brother's Three Orchard" series. Though there are cameos from other books and series, you don't have to have read them to know what's going on. This can be read as a standalone book, and has a HEA ending.

It's OK

Not my favorite TQ book, but not horrible. I don't like books where the FMC has an attitude with the MMC for no good reason. From what I gather, Belinda (I can't stand the nickname 'Bells') appears to be ticked off with Kain because they kissed FIVE YEARS AGO at a New Year's party and he apparently walked away from her. He didn't sleep with her and dump her; he KISSED her and nothing came of it... (This is responsible for the loss of a star.)

We get some insight into Kain's family... but not why his father would have left him everything... or much about the surprise addition. (Maybe the next book will give us more about this?)

And who is this Maitland person who had bought up so much land in this area? They're mentioned in the Crescent Cove books, too...hmmm.

Not my favorite TQ book, but not the worst I've read.

This was a good second chance love/enemies to lovers read and a good addition to this series.

Kain having experienced loss before leaving Hawaii ends up starting something with Bells that he did not finish. Fast forward five years later he finds himself working with her as her boss and they do nothing but fight with each other and their attraction.

This pair had chemistry that was palpable at times and their attraction was off the charts! Their story was well written and I enjoyed it from start to finish as it moved along well and kept me interested throughout. I found myself cheering for them throughout their story.

Overall, this was a good read that I would recommend to others.

This book took me a little longer than normal to read simply because I didn’t want it to end. I had stars in my eyes every time Kain appeared in any other book just waiting for his book so I could take in all the deliciousness that is Kain. He did not disappoint. His quick whit and loving words to Belinda are everything I wanted and needed. His stubborn streak is the only thing getting in his own way of having it all.
I adore Belinda. She is also very stubborn but she knows it and owns it. She has goals to accomplish and won’t let anything stop her. Kain makes her think twice about all of it though in such a fantastic way.
I loved these two and all the characters that helped them get their HEA.

Ohana

Family doesn't have to be just the blood kind, it can include the one you make in a mate and the best of friends. Kain and Bells made their ohana from mutual friends and the friends they've made through Brothers Three Orchard. Kain deals with anger and stress by running. Bells earned the nickname of She-Devil in her way of dealing. But it took them to stop fighting the pull, stop running and snipping for them to gain the beginning of a very happy ever after. No cheating or cliffhanger. Great storyline with well rounded characters. Can be read as a standalone, but you'll gain a better background if you start at one. The characters continue to build and they reappear in each story. Enjoy 🤓!

LEGACY LOST is the fifth in the lovely Brothers Three Orchard series by Taryn Quinn (the writing team of Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott). Builder/architect Kainoa N’ai knows loss. And Belinda Grayson pushes his every last button. He doesn’t want to feel what she draws out in him. And she can’t stand having to work with this guy who’s seemingly indifferent to her.

When circumstances conspire for them to work together closely to ensure the taproom and events continued success, their fiery connections eventually cannot be denied. Taryn Quinn’s characters move me and keep me turning the pages, and I rooted for Kain and Bells to find their way to being honest and vulnerable with each other, and to guard each other’s heart as they find a way to reveal their truest feelings. A terrific addition to this wonderful series. Cameos from the Lost in Oblivion gang are an added bonus!

I've been waiting for Kain's story, and it does not disappoint. We've gotten bits and pieces of Kain in some of the other books in this series, now we get the full story.
Your heart may break just a little for what Kain has been through, and you can see how he came to protect himself. Your heart will also be happy for the family he has found at Brothers Three Orchard, even if they are not of his blood, but of his heart.
I loved Belinda for Kain. They both have fiery personalities and with that comes some fiery romance.
Oh, it was also nice to see some guest appearances by a few other well-known characters. I'm looking forward to what comes next for the Brothers Three Orchard.

Belinda "Bells" has been trying to avoid Kainoa "Kain" as long as she could. But the time has come and now she's stuck working with him when he insists she help him with the bachelorette party she's planned. She's not sure what she can possibly offer but she'll do her best to keep her temper (yeah right!) and her heart intact because all the close proximity isn't helping matters at all.

Kain loves the home he's found with his best friend and all the crew here at Brothers Three. When he left Hawaii all those years ago after losing everything, he found a bright spark in Bells, and had one moment with her. But he had to walk away and has regretted it ever since. Now that they're both in this small part of New York, he loves nothing more than riling her up. He in no way deserves her, but the pleasure he gets from getting under her skin is enough...or is it?

We all know that hate is just the flip side of something much more positive. Though Bells and Kain on the surface couldn't stand each other, it was really obvious there was much more than just contempt between them. They may have driven each other crazy, both purposely and without even trying, but they finally figured out how to use all those sparks for a very different way than fighting. Bells and Kain's attraction is smokin' hot, their banter is snarky and fun, and their hard fought journey to their happiness is my favorite yet in this series.

Bells and Kain have a pretty antagonistic relationship. She is extremely bitter he walked away after kissing her at a party. Personally, I think she seriously overreacted, but that is just my opinion. After they are forced to work together, everything changes. Once they take the first steps, there is no stopping them and they are hot and heavy while she helps him work through some of his family issues. Some very entertaining moments. Kain and Bells are both caretakers at heart and it really comes through with each other and the people they care about.

I LOVE the Brothers Three Orchard series!

Kain is a billionaire architect from Hawaii trying to escape stuff from his past when he lands at his friend's orchard and becomes the amazing chef!

Bells (aka Belinda) is also on the move and landed at the orchard but working in both the lodge and the taproom planning events. She tries to avoid Kain as much as she can because when the two of them are together, it's combustible. They have a very brief past that no one knows about but when you see them together, it's hot, almost like a verbal foreplay for the two of them.

Before you know it, they're forced to work together and the sparks definitely fly. A fabulous read!

What a wonderful addition to the series, worth the wait.
Kain and Bell's are like oil and water. They can't fe in the same space without snarkey comments flying back and forth.
Their attraction is years in the making, from that first kiss. But neither wants to admit that they are attracted to the other.
They are independent, fierce, loyal characters who each have their own baggage.
When Kain and Bells decide to test their attraction the reader is given a wonderful view into their constant banter and steamy attraction.
You'll enjoy this ride.

The much anticipated story of Kain and Bells did not disappoint in the slightest.
Two very strong yet very stubborn characters who both prefer to avoid the other or snipe when in the same area. There is undoubtedly a reason for this, and it’s mighty hot and steamy once an understanding is reached. Perfectly matched in temperament and height this pair totally rock! Ohana is Family, and family is what you make it. Legacy Lost is a powerful reminder that not every one has a family that cares for its members, yet you can make a family with those people you love.

Oh yes! Kain is a big man with big needs and big feels but he is a tortured soul. From his first encounter with Bells years ago and one unforgettable kiss, to now working together and needling each other to see how far they can push each other we just knew once they gave in they would go up in smoke. Now, will Kain stick around and not run as every fiber of his being is telling him to do? This story is full of so many cameos and we get to catch up with many of them. I love this series and encourage you to start at the beginning and enjoy it too!

the characters are frenemies at the start, Kainoa N'ai is the strong silent type, hurting from the betrayal of his father and sister. Belinda (Bells) is a no-nonsense kind of woman who waits for no man. together they're hot enough to burn the orchard down.
I enjoyed watching them work together at the orchard and their relationship grow.
interesting couples, a splash of Oblivion (Huzzah!) in the mix, passion, hurt hearts, and actual communication! the book has it all. I can recommend it and the others in the series.
