I love so many things about Rory and Tate’s writing. But I think what I love most is that their characters’ emotions jump off the page. You know that their connection was undeniable and, as unconventional as it may be, their story wasn’t a story written for the sake of simply being TÄBÓÒ.

hmm... I'm not feeling it.
It is a completely on-brand kinda book for these duos. The absolute taboo storyline (I mean the last time I read a book about a grandpa and a granddaughter, it was Jessa Kane's), a possessive older alpha asshole (not even Jeffrey Dean Morgan in my mind could fix this), completely unhuman-like interactions, and no depth whatsoever. I mean, if you're looking for an erotic book, yeah why not. Just, maybe I should stop looking for romance in books like this.
Plus, voyeurism/exhibitionism? If it was done to get a point across, I could get behind it. But as a normal kink, I don't think I can enjoy that whatsoever.

Ahhhhhh okay hear me out. This is my first blood related / spiciest book I have read to date. Wow what a ride I'm on my dam honeymoon and this book was taboo as hell but delicious. I went into this completely blind and at the end of the day it’s fiction and if I’m unwell and going to hell I’ll take it!

One: he is her blood relative. True incest. Not foster, step or anything like that. Our MMC Clark, is her grandfather… his sons, daughter. This apparently is the theme of this book because there is a sex club that specifically caters to incest. Everyone is comfortable with this and is consenting… very odd and not believable.
Two: the age gap between our MMC and FMC. Look, the age gap trope is one my favorite tropes if I’m being honest, but this one was cringe… he is 55 and she is 18… to me, 37 years is a huge gap. I could probably get past that however coupled with the blood relation AND the constant description of grey pubs and hair, seriously gave me the ICK.
Three: insta-love. Our two characters fell in love with each other extremely quickly. And not obsession… actual love. My mind absolutely cannot wrap around this concept in the slightest.
This was short read, finished in one day, but I did have to push through. I also ended up skimming several pages because I lost interest very quickly. The spice was very spicy but honestly, it was more cringy than hot… I rated this a 1.5 star rating (rounded to 2 since GR’s doesn’t allow 1/2 stars) because I actually pushed through and finished it. I was tempted to DNF however with the how short the book was, I decided to keep going. At least I can count it towards my yearly reading goal.

I am so undecided on a overall rating for this book ngl 🙈 it was a wild ass ride, and the spice was some of the spiciest I’ve read in a contemp book.
Defs check triggers and do no go in blind. This certainly pushes boundaries to say the least 💀
I couldn’t get past the fact he actually asked her to call him grandfather and he called her granddaughter, that was a bit jarring at times during the spice. I personally couldn’t get around that 🙈. The nickname “little dancer” was better, but I would’ve also preferred “love” or something like that.
It should be noted that the characters had no relationship before her parents died and he did not know of her/she did not know of him, so there was no familiarity there beforehand. This is also a work of fiction and should be read/enjoyed as such.
I feel like Caroline had very little personality or substance as a character, and seemed very childlike at times which I didn’t enjoy. I also feel that the MMC was slightly manipulative of her situation to get what he wanted from her (she legit had nowhere else to go and he is saying either do this contract or I’ll kick you out). However, I was not in this book for the plot lmao. I was reading it for the experience, the taboo (and to see if I could find a line for me reading-wise), and the spice.

Okay, I have to say that Monroe and Ireland are here to push our boundaries hard and far, and I am all for it. Before today, I have never ever thought I would enjoy reading a scandalous affair between a grandfather and a granddaughter but here we are. By the end of Little Dancer, I was rooting for the unorthodox couple and coming up with a few more epilogues in my head. If you are open to read tastefully yet equally sensual taboo romances, you have got to stop by any of the Banned Baddies social media pages and jump on this deliciously filthy train to no boundaries 🔥🔥🔥

Spice: 5/5 - HOT AF!
I don't even know where my head is at right now... I just devoured this and I feel like there is steam coming out of every single pore on my body. I mean what was in this damn thing?? Let's break it down...
Voyeurism & exhibitionism - yea this whole concept has never been high on my list of likes, not that I dislike it or anything I just usually don't care one way or the other if it's there. But in this book?? Lord, it just hit differently. I think maybe the FMC being so inexperienced and her reactions to it are why it stood out so much to me here.
The degradation & praise - mmmph it was so so good! I loved how he could be so stern and dominating but with this fatherly kind of aspect to it that made it somehow a little softer than what it normally would be. Like he was still demanding and degrading but in a way that felt like he was also mentoring her without expecting too much from her. He was just so gentle about it in some ways and it completely worked for his character. Plus the "little dancer" pet name just gave me life every time he used it!
Some mild dub-con is always a nice addition and added some extra tension at the beginning of the book. A very interesting cane scene that somehow went as I expected but also didn't lol. But the holy grail of all the things and what I have been trying to find more of recently is somnophilia!! My gawd! This is not just some light sprinkle of it in the story where it starts out that way and within seconds everyone is alert and aware. No - this is a legit full scene that I've been wanting so badly from these two and they delivered! It. Was. Sizzling.
Then of course there is the whole taboo aspect of their relationship that just brings it all to the next level. I mean I love a good age gap and this was definitely one of the bigger age gaps I've read so the whole Grandpa thing was way hotter than I anticipated it would be. I also feel like the circumstances around how she grew up and his place in her life during that time are what made this work so well. It sits on that fine line of taboo because of their relation to each other but at the same time it's almost easy to look past at certain points because she doesn't really know him at first. The whole storyline and the way their relationship plays out over time and then morphs by the end was just mouth-watering and I couldn't put it down. Highly highly recommend it for your next taboo read!

La razón principal por la que la historia tiene altas calificaciones es el tabú y las escenas spicy, cosa que no voy a juzgar, ya que yo vine a leer ambas.
El morbo vende, y no tengo problemas con ello, yo consumo material así, pero seamos objetivos, el libro en si es malo, la redacción aburre e insta a hacer lectura rápida, la historia no produce ningún sentimiento. Los personajes son planos, sus historias no te hacen empatizar con ellos, solo son un medio para leer porno básico.
Y reitero, leer porno no está mal. Pero seamos sinceros el libro no es para 5 estrellas, es más ni para 4, 3,5 sería su máximo.

Definitely read the TWs, but if you can get past the big one it really is just a story about two people who need to feel connected. And they connect very well.

Before I dive into my review of this deliciously taboo romance, please be advised - this is full on taboo, you’re either gonna love or hate it. Stay classy and don’t come after the queens that wrote it or any readers that enjoy it.
Rory and Tate automatically had my attention when I saw the blurb for this and I ended up devouring this in one afternoon.
Caroline has lived a lonely life within the confines of boarding and dance school. Never really having a true relationship with her parents, her world comes crashing down when she loses them both. What she doesn’t expect is her night in shining armor showing up when she is at her lowest. I honestly enjoyed watching her personality blossom and how she owns who she is and who she wants.
Clark is a self made man who has a set schedule and unique set of tastes. When his eyes land on Caroline, he knows he’s heading into a territory that he won’t come back from. He may be stern and gruff but this man loves hard and I adored watching how his walls came crashing down with her.
I love me some good taboo and this deliciously dirty goodness that I can’t get enough of. I really like how Rory and Tate built their story and how both characters grew. I love how Caroline is the light to Clark’s darkness and softens his hard edges, along with how he would do any and everything to keep her by his side.
This has turned out to be one of my favorites by these talented queens and I hope we get to see some more characters from Club Opal!

I love me some good taboo and this deliciously dirty goodness that I can’t get enough of. I really like how Rory and Tate built their story and how both characters grew. I love how Caroline is the light to Clark’s darkness and softens his hard edges, along with how he would do any and everything to keep her by his side.
This has turned out to be one of my favorites by these talented queens and I hope we get to see some more characters from Club Opal!

Holy fucking shit this is forbidden/taboo on another level. I have no clue wtf I just read. Grandfather and granddaughter romance, I’m still shook. The spice was insanely good. No, fr her grandfather gave her a deal where his granddaughter would be his sex doll in exchange for money. All I have to say is this was one crazy spicy book and I devoured it so fast. It had a crazy kink, the degradation/praise was on another level. if you have no triggers and love steamy books, especially the short steamy ones this is for you.

Funny thing is, I've read most of the banned, forbidden, taboo—even blood related—books out there for quite some time but this one is like playing among us with that category. There are Tate and Rory's books that I wish they would write more of but definitely not this one. You want to write a story about a Grandfather/Granddaughter taboo relationship, then take notes from Jessa Kane's.

Really enjoyed this one. Clark was 🔥🔥 loved the spice and his protective ways over her from the very start.
The only thing I wasn’t huge on was Caroline being clueless on everything and anything sexual, I get it was part of the story and how she was brought up but I’m just not a fan of that in books personally.

Overall these authors are definitely an acquired taste and to say they’re not for everyone is putting it mildly. I’m going to go out on a limb and say they are probably not for MOST. If you’re hesitant but want to push the ultimate taboo boundary, I suggest starting with a sibling or cousin book before hoping into one with a parent/ grandparent & child relationship like this one….
I am currently reading everything by these authors but it’s really pushing my boundaries. Obviously there’s something wrong with me, because I’m still reading and I’m not about to stop😂
So as you’ve probably gathered, this a grandfather❤️granddaughter relationship. It definitely crosses a lot of skeevy-icky boundaries for me but for the most part I can put the familial relationship out of my head and just enjoy it for the MAJOR age-gap book that it is. The extreme age-gap is sort of ridiculous TBH but I guess it happens (hello Anna Nicole…). The only other downside to these books is the fact that none of these cute couples can (or should?) have healthy children together but, for the most part these are just taboo smut and I’m not supposed to be thinking about them together beyond the hot taboo sex they are having….lol.
Anyway, I really hated the first half of this book and almost quit, because the heroine has been badly neglected her entire life and grandfather is into degradation which just makes him seem like another a**hole taking advantage of her. Degradation isn’t something I enjoy in books because it just feels like a form of emotional abuse to me.
I’ve never really understood the effect degradation has on a person, but I actually thought this book does an absolutely freaking awesome job explaining it. To the point that my whole view of the book changed.
I guess Grandfather is not as big of an uncaring a**hole as I thought and she likes the kink just as much as him. But does he love her or is he just toying with her until their time is up and they each move on?
Okay this guy is super sweet when he’s not being a complete a**hole… this girl has had a rough time of things up till now and I think she really does thrive under the love and support he offers to her.

I don’t know what I thought was going to happen at the club or with this arrangement in general, but I don’t think I was prepared for the emotions that come along with it all. He was so rough on me and said things that should have made me feel awful, to the point of shutting down and wanting to leave. That didn’t happen. My body responded to the things he called me and the brutal way he took my mouth.
