-----------------------------His Christmas Conundrum features fake dating, bi-awakening, found family, a college setting, and more. While there are characters from His Christmas Crush, second edition, this can be read as a standalone. This book is designed for readers 18+.
I don’t expect high literature when I start reading a daddy-kink Christmas novella, I want to be entertained by a steamy story with enough tension between the characters to burn down a Christmas tree. And that, this book had, and it had it in spades.
Trevor is a (straight) college student, trying in vain to get rid of his stalker-ex. As a last resort, his bff comes up with the idea of a male (fake) boyfriend, and Trevor agrees, seeing as he’s been low-key attracted to his potential fake boyfriend for a long while.
Milo, the guy Trevor is attracted to, immediately sees the boy/submissive side of Trevor, and agrees to the arrangement.
Things progress pretty fast from there (it’s a short book after all): Trevor embraces his bi-awakening, as well as his submissive side. He loves to give up control, and the freedom that comes with it. There’s a bit of talk about age-play, but we never see it put to action. The dynamics between the two of them are hot, and I didn’t mind the fast pace. Funnily enough it didn’t feel like insta-love/lust for me, despite the fact that everything happens in the course of a few weeks.
Definitely keeping an eye on this author for whenever I feel like a low angst, steamy fix.
Trevor Cooper has a conundrum. He had what could be called a "different" type of relationship with his professor’s daughter...Jane. She was, as far as he was concerned, someone to hang out with...but Jane thought it to be anything but that and then some. I might have felt sorry for Jane if she hadn't been so overbearing, demanding and over the top plain obnoxious. He broke up with her as gently as he could, after all her father was one of his professors and could make or break him in his class at law school. To say that Jane didn't take it well is the understatement of the century.
Not only is she furious, but she’s determined to get Trevor back, any way she can. Not JUST get him back but destroy any chance he might have of dating any other girl. She goes so far as to scare all the girls off that Trevor shows any interested in. Can you say, "creepy stalker"? That's Jane in a nutshell. One of Trevor’s friends, Bailey, suggest something so far out, but not so out there that Trevor doesn’t consider it.
The suggestion is for Trevor to pretend to be interested in guys, not girls, and maybe get someone to be his "fake boyfriend". He knows Trevor’s not homophobic because his own fiancé is Trevor’s brother, so what can go wrong? After admitting to Bailey that he’s always secretly thought fellow university student Milo Adair was smoking hot, Bailey puts the plan in motion with Milo. Trevor soon has an appointment with Milo Adair. Milo said that he would give Trevor 30 -minutes to convince him that the "pretend boyfriend" plan is something he should involve himself with. I really liked Milo and the story was cute, for lack of a better description. Both Trevor and Milo's families were total opposites as far as wealth went but equal in the way they loved and supported their children.
It's a really sweet, heartwarming little story with two lovable characters. Oh...Jane gets her "just reward" in the end. That alone was worth the read.
I absolutely loved these guys together. I loved watching Trevor come to terms with his sexuality, and how Milo was right there to guide him. I loved Milo’s dominance and protectiveness. I loved how he never really made it a secret what he felt for Trevor, even if things seemed to be moving fast. Really, they do move super fast, but it totally works.
And, lastly, I love how Trevor's ex was dealt with once and for all.
I guess some readers might say this is a gay-for-you book, but I’m going to go with a bi-awakening because it was pretty obvious that Trevor had been bi-curious for quite some time.
This is a great book that kept me interested from the first page to the last. I’ll definitely be reading more books by this author. I was kept smiling throughout all of this one.
This is my favorite Christmas story so far this year.
His Christmas Conundrum by A.W. Scott is part of the Secret Santa Daddy series season 3. It's the story of Milo and Trevor. I loved their story. It was sweet, sexy, full of feels and very well written.
Another wonderful Christmas story by AW Scott. I’ve enjoyed the Christmas stories AW Scott has written! Don’t miss the opportunity to read them! This is a new trope for me to read by her. This one was more of “college” type of MCs with daddy/little instead of the “age gap”. I have mad respect for AW Scott and her writing style! 5 stars reading from me!
The story focuses on Trevor, a college student who was trying to keep his ex-girlfriend at bay after “breaking up” with her. However, she kept pushing him to get back together. Whenever he would be on a date with a female student, the ex would successfully stop him from having a second date or much less finish the first date! It drove him crazy. His family expected him to bring someone home with him for Christmas. His college best friend had an idea. He reached out to a friend and set an interview. Trevor had to “convince” the friend to be his fake date. Trevor went over to that person’s residence. When he got there, he was told to do exactly what the friend tells him to do.
That person was Milo and he had a hidden agenda. He knew Trevor was “straight” but wanted to see if Trevor would even venture further. Well, I’ll just stop right there and have you pick up the book to read and find out what happens with the crazy ex-girlfriend and Milo. A great reading!!!!
Student Trevor Cooper has run out of time and options as he needs a date to take home for Christmas but his last girlfriend broke up months ago and she won't take no for an answer so has effectively blocked him from finding anyone else. His friend Bailey says there is another way for him to find someone even if it is pretend and so Trevor jumps at it. Fellow student Milo Adair is a prime example of BDE and is perfect to stand up to Trevor's ex as well as to take home to his family. After Milo agrees to be Trevor's fake date he asks a series of questions all about limits, safe words and rules that he should follow. When Trevor winds up with a special surprise during a Secret Santa gift exchange, a surprise that has him whispering "Daddy," things go from fake to real in an instant.
This was a sweet story and connected two men who had secretly wanted each other from afar even if they thought that was never going to happen. I loved that they were from such different backgrounds and that both men were welcome in either of them. The way that Milo looked after Trevor was quite endearing and must have increased his self-confidence. Well written and so easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story containing mature content.
Sweet daddy kink story featuring two young men, both still in college. The Daddy is a wealthy heir to a well-known family, though they turn out to be fairly grounded and not as pretentious as their reputation makes them out to be. And the boy is a young man seeking a fake boyfriend to get him away from a vicious girlfriend who won't take no for an answer. His friend suggests he seek a man instead because the girlfriend is scaring everyone away.
Once they get together, the young man, Trevor, realizes he's not only bisexual and attracted to his fake boyfriend but he's also submissive and apparently a boy seeking a Daddy. The story worked fairly well though I had some issues with some confusing areas. I'm likely too fussy. But I found the story sweet, not too far out of the realm of possibility, and gave me a nice warm and fuzzy holiday feeling. A new author to me, I may try the next one to be published as it features Trevor's friend Bailey who helped him find his Daddy.
Serious feel good, butterflies, insta-love (in the best way) yet still with a relatable journey all wrapped up in a Christmas bow.
My favorite comfort reads are good Christmas romances and this one is another for the list.
I loved Trevor. I loved him in Noah and Carter’s book and a fell completely in love here. He’s real and complex and relatable and I want another book just to see him bloom and flourish in his role with kink.
I found Milo surprisingly vulnerable and soft from my initial suspicions and loved his care of Trevor.
I could read a dozen books about these men and their connection.
So this is one of the books in The Secret Santa Daddy season three. This is a wonderful collaboration by the talented M.A. Innes, A.W. Scott and Della Cain. I love these authors and look forward each year to meet the next Secret Santa Daddies and their love interest. The books are filled with characters that touch your heart. They are the types of people who you would want in your life. The dialogue is witty, the characters are both loving, loyal and the books absolutely cause your heart to fill with all the "feels.". Which lets face it is a wonderful gift to the reader .
Sweet fun read. When Trevor wants to keep his ex girlfriend away he asked his best friend Bailey for help. When Bailey say " so you find men attractive ?" Trevor was confused as he was straight, but he did say he finds Milo Adair attractive. Bailey sets up a meeting , but once Trevor is in Milo 's presence he feels like he's home. What starts as a fake relationship becomes so much more. Loved this story couldn't put it down
Christmas Conundrum is a sweet soft awareness awakening store.
Trevor's self discovery is gentle and quiet. The way Milo responds to Trevor from the .moment he shows up til the final line had me completely invested in the story. There were a few instances where I was thrown off by the way a scene played out only to be pleasantly surprised by the set-up of the next part. I devoured the book without realizing til I was at the end. Can't wait to read the next part.
I absolutely love how the authors books flow on from previous ones. This one absolutely hooked me from the beginning, and now I cannot wait for the friends book to come out. Both of the MC’s soo suit each other to a T, and I love their family and friends throughout the whole story.
I loved Milo and Trevor’s story. At first I wasn’t sure I’d like Trevor as he initially came off as conniving and manipulative, but quickly changed my mind once he was introduced to Milo and his true personality emerged. I liked the relationships with their family members and am hopeful we’ll see more about of Milo and Trevor in Bailey’s book
I do not like the fake dating trope. Not at all to the point where I almost put this down. But oh I am so happy I didnt.. Trevor is just amazing he truly had no clue what was really happening the whole time and I loved every moment of it! Trust me if you like daddy/boy relationships or even bdsm dynamic this is so worth the read!
Daddy boy, rich man to middle class, bi-awaking, fake to real relationship. Trevor needs a date to take home for Christmas but his sticker ex girlfriend keeps getting in the way. In walks Daddy Milo to take all his troubles away and agrees to be his fake boyfriend but turn very real and steamy relationship.
A.W Scott has done it again with another fantastic book. I loved it from start to finish. It was a sweet, low angst story filled with lots of steam and a journey of discovery that leads to the ultimate HEA. I could have read another 1000 pages of these 2nand still be enthralled with their story. Can’t wait for Baileys book now.
Well it is that time of the year again. The time for Hallmark Christmas movies and Holiday romances. This was an OK read. Even for a themed book there wasn't a lot of substance. And I wasn't a lot of that in the first place. I expected a low to no angst romance with fluff. But it just was fluff with tropes instead of a plot in it and that diminished my enjoyment a bit.
This was my favorite out of the entire series, and all seasons. Milo and Trevor were so wonderful together. This was a bi-awakening story, but really for me, I felt that Trevor wouldn't have fallen for anyone but Milo. It was more of finding that perfect someone that just completed you. I loved the extended family on both sides, and all the Christmas traditions thrown in. Such a good story.
DNF @78% ... lol, yeah, I got that far in. I even liked it! It's very sweet, but gah. The writing style and dialogue are just soooo awkward. I thought Trevor was sweet and I definitely would have liked more from Milo's POV, but ultimately I just gave up on it. This is an author I might check back with again in a few years, though!
I always love a fake dating story, and this was a good one, although it didn't stay fake for long! This has all the things - bi-awakening, fake dating, daddy kink (although no age play on page) and they all fit together into a lovely romance between Milo and Trevor. It was easy to believe in their love and hea, too!
When Trevor asks his friend Bailey for help, Bailey’s idea to ask Milo is so out there it just might work! Enjoy this delightful and intriguing story of how Milo helps Trevor in ways he didn’t even know he needed—some fun and some very steamy!!! This Christmas break will be memorable!
I absolutely loved this story. This was such a wonderful Christmas story. Fake boyfriends, bi-awakening and a potential middle all add up to a fantastic story that I highly recommend.
This was a really great story. It had everything: sweetness, sexiness, Daddy/boy, Christmas shenanigans. I could not put it down. Trevor was adorable and, good grief, Milo was hot. I’m looking forward to Bailey’s story.
I’m so glad we got to really know Trevor. And Milo is perfect for him. It was great seeing Noah and Carter again. I have to say that the O’Brien boys and Milo have awesome parents. I can’t wait to read Bailey’s story.
What a cute book! Less Christmassy than some but I loved the family holiday fun that happened and the MCs relationship. Not to mention the supporting cast! I'm off to binge read Bailey's book next
Very much enjoyed this daddy story. Told so well. I tend to cringe with daddy stories but this hit all the right subjects that had Mr crossing my legs a lot. Especially during heat hehee
Trevor is in a hard place but doesn’t know how to get out of it. And along comes his friend with a really wild suggestion. I love how from the minute Milo and Trevor meet both of them are drawn together. It was a really fun holiday romance.
Trevor is lost without Carter but he'll have him as a brother-in-law but what does he do now? Milo has always been attracted to Trevor but didn't know what he sexuality was. Trevor has a problem with an ex and Milo is the one to solve it.
