This author seems to cut a lot of her books really short. They stop without ever giving a satisfied conclusion. That said - the sex is hot.
Cole (18) has the hots for his BFF's mom, Olivia (36). On his 18th birthday, he skips school and goes to the house and begs her to take his virginity. She doesn't want to because of obvious reasons. She ends up giving in and once they start - they can't stop. It helps that he has a big d!ck. Eventually, BFF Jensen finds out and is furious, as you'd expect. Jensen decides he can't stop things, but he's still not happy about it. Cole and Olivia end up as a couple. The end.
My only issue is the ending. After they decide to be together, we jump to the epilogue of them playing with .
We don't really get to see them build a relationship that doesn't involve sex. I'm not complaining about the sex - it's good. I can't describe what I'm trying to say. I guess you should read it so you can tell me what I'm feeling.

This was a very nice read but I felt like you should have been a full book.
Side notes, I really do enjoy taboo story lines I normally read MMC being older but sometimes I enjoy FMC being the mature one.
It took me awhile to finish but when I finally got into the story It ended!! The characters was great, just wish there was more. It also wasn't as dirty has I thought however It has a really nice happy ending.
I just wish I had more interaction with The FMC and MMC.

I recently came across this book when I was doom scrolling on Instagram. The person was raving about it and it made me want to read it plus I'll admit I was drawn in by the cover. This was a really quick read and that really messed with my enjoyment of it. Everything happened way to fast and it was hard to connect with the characters and the relationship. I would have liked for this one to be a full length novel. I feel like if we could have gotten more build up and more groveling this could have been great. It was pretty steamy but also kind of cringy.

This was super fun, filthy and fast paced. B never disappoints when it comes to spice.
I love a good Best friends mom, as much as she tried to fight and deny the attraction Cole was persistent. Boy knew what he wanted and he was going to get it. I loved his filthy mouth, it being straight to the point, and him ’putting what he gave her back inside’ is one of my weakness’ I swear. This author always gives her readers what they want! Enjoy

Birthday Boy was about 18-year-old Cole Peterson, a high school student, and 36-year-old Olivia Matthews, his BFF's mother.
Cole had been friends with Jensen for a long time. His mother, if she could be called that, was not a good person, and she tended to neglect her son. Olivia and Jensen welcomed Cole at their house every chance they got. When he was around fourteen years of age, Cole stopped seeing Olivia as a second mother and started seeing her as something more. However, he never acted on his feelings. But the more time he spent around her, the more certain he was that she was it for him.
The day he turned 18, Cole let Olivia know he wanted her to be his first. What he didn't say was that he wanted her to be his forever. But all he asked her for was one time together. Olivia had never looked at Cole as anything other than her son's BFF, perhaps even a second son. But once he let her know his true feelings, she couldn't see him that way any longer.
This was an interesting story, with an intriguing plot. It had all the angst and drama one comes to expect from such a book, and there was even a touch of humor. Even the emotional rollercoaster was filled with twists and turns.
I wasn't expecting such a mature character from Cole, but he was, nonetheless. He was a strong hero, and he was determined to get what he wanted. Olivia was another strong character, just as mature as Cole.
I gave this story a three-and-a-half star rating. The reason behind the low rating was that it needed a little more background story, and a touch more grit. It felt like the author cut off the story without truly finishing it. There were too many unresolved issues. Still, it was a good book.

I can’t love this one enough 🤭
Brooke knows how to deliver a good taboo forbidden relationship and I’m living for yet another one! Best friend’s mom has helped kinda be a second mother figure to Cole when he was younger but then he realized that an attraction he feels something deeper and he has a plan to make her his. It’s his 18th birthday and guess who pops by because he wants his best friend’s mom and he needs her to teach and show him what he’s been missing. Honestly crazy line of her having issues but like just going with no protection was funny because like cmon girl it was a couple weeks/months that should definitely set off alarm bells. Too too hot like helloo Cole had that mouth on him and Mrs. Matthews couldn’t resist! A definite must read like fr you don’t want to miss it!

This short novella managed to have a great story despite the length. This was cute, sweet, spicy, and very hot.

not my fav of this author... but it's birthday week ;)
this one is longer than the usual books from this author and the beginning was good and steamy. i guess i was expecting more? due to the author's note at the beginning but it was nothing special or "shocking". the ending wrapped up way to fast and then epilogue. no conflict resolution, nothing which made me give this a 3 star. this might as well be a novel instead of a novella.

4.6 stars - considering how short this was - it was so good?
it had a solid plot, solid storyline, and the pacing was super good imo for how short this was.
i felt like so much happened in such a short time, but it was written well that i feel like everything was pretty well explored/explained.
the smut in this was soooo mf hot. there was exhibition, breeding, dirty talk, errything good !!
yea it’s kinda creepy that the best friend was 18 and the mum was older by a solid 2 decades, but it’s a book soooo idc, i liked the taboo :))
i esp liked how it’s reversed from usual, and how the girl is the older one, and the dude is younger. also really loved how the H was a virgin <3333

Taboo age gap romance that is so worth the read!
Cole and Olivia’s romance may be taboo but it’s definitely worth the read. He is her son’s best friend and she’s old enough to be his mother. Cole knows she’s the only woman he’s ever wanted and on his 18th birthday she gives in. The dynamic romance and angst in this story is addictive. A quick read for me that easily was a 5/5 🌟🔥🙌🏽

top tier reverse age gap
Holy hell… now typically reverse age gaps aren’t my things, but are we shocked this author killed yet another trope? As requested, I went in blind to the rest of the story and definitely no regrets there! They are a guarantee for a quick and dirty story, and perfect for in between long reads or series. Sweet inexperienced Cole got FILTHY and we were absolutely here for it. Olivia was sweet but together they really got down to buisness of things. As always the spice came quick and stayed around too.
