This was a spicy story about Charli (a mixologist hired to work at Vice Club) and Ryan (former Navy SEAL and current owner of Vice Club). Tropes include age gap, forced proximity, and alpha male.
Ryan knows he shouldn't mix business and pleasure, and after leaving her former bartending gig because of her coworker/ex Charli isn't in a hurry to repeat her past mistakes. But after getting to know each other and grappling in the Club's gym, they can't deny the chemistry between them. Told through duo POVs it was fun experiencing them secretly swooning over one another.
I loved Charli's personality, quick wit, and passion for her job. There was also comradery between the staff at Vice Club and I liked how Charli and ber bartender boss Tony hit it off immediately, becoming fast friends.
I do wish there was more backstory with Ryan vs. just getting his background information like it was a resume. By way of plot there was there wasn't much conflict/resolution to be had.
This is book 1 in Vice Club Nights but can be read as a standalone.

Perfect Mix is the first in the Vice Club series.
A alpha male boss and feisty FMC though into the mix both are are sexually attracted each other and you get the perfect mix.
MMC Ryan part owner of the vice club with a character from Carlson series and a new character Gio from Italy make up the rest of the owners.
FMC Charli she is one Feisty woman these two the chemistry is so hot 🥵
For me I loved it, it gave me everything I look for in a hot steamy book this is out on 28th March so I’m not spoiling it for you, go and check it out 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This book is a thoroughly enjoyable, short, spicy read.
I loved the main characters - Charli comes across as a confident woman, sure of herself and able to look after herself but throughout the book you get a hint of some underlying vulnerability and it’s only with Ryan that she feels able to share that side of herself.
Ryan is a great fictional boyfriend - intensely private and protective and completely smitten with Charli
In the book you get to see a lot of the friendship groups surrounding the main characters which I really enjoyed - there’s good banter and care that only exists between the closest of friends. I hope in the rest of the series we see some more of the joining of the two friendship groups - it is definitely hinted it.
I enjoyed reading a book where I genuinely believed the chemistry and love, where there is no third act break up and you get a happy ending.
The writing and pacing are great, this was an easy read and I finished it quickly. Fab work from this author

Such a beautifully written story, I absolutely consumed it - didn’t put it down until the very last word.
Ryan is a fascinating character, I enjoyed his inner monologue and his possessive streak.
Then theres the club, I found the different rooms and the numerous steamy scenes hot AF.
Tony is yet another great character, the perfect boss and friend to Charli. Tony and Ryan’s banter was hilarious.
Loved how we reflect back upon Charli’s background and the her dirtbag ex.
Charli and her identical twin sister, Tori was yet another great aspect of this storyline. Tori seems like she has a lot going on by the little hints and breadcrumbs we are given, looking forward to reading her story next - hoping it has Italy as the main location setting.
Overall I really loved this book, I didn’t want it to end.

I enjoyed the book. At first Charli seemed like she was going to be an annoying FMC but as she interviewed at the club and more of her personality came out you start to like her. She has some hesitation with hers and Ryan’s relationship which helps build the tension and steam. Ryan had enough character building to make him likable. He does over react but owns his mistakes quickly.
What got me was the ending. The last 50 pages seemed sort of thrown in there and the book could’ve ended a little sooner rather than throwing in an extra sex scene or two. To avoid a spoiler with the epilogue I won’t go into detail but that was a bit of a leap. I get that Tori will have her book next but maybe there should have been a little more lead up to that introduction.
All in all it’s an easy read for a rainy day.

Ryan is our MMC and he is part owner of the club (Vice Club) he is very much alpha boss, Charli is our FMC and she is feisty! I love these two together because they are an explosive couple!

Ryan is part owner of the Vice Club along with 2 other silent partners Hunter and Gio, but Ryan runs the day to day. He is a strong, masculine, handsome male character. He hires a new mixologist, Charli. She is an Australian woman who is confident in her abilities to mix a good drink and is a kick ass BJJ black belt and has an identical twin sister.
As soon as these two bump into each other, the sparks fly, and neither can deny the chemistry between them. The spice is hot, and Ryan definitely knows how to give the ultimate pleasure!
Really enjoyed the story of the characters and got completely lost in the book, which is what I love from a good book. Can't wait for book 2.

There's nothing like running into a hard as rock chest when your trying to stay out of the rain, but when that chest is connected to a rugged god that I wouldn't mind being stranded in a cabin with. Charli's day just got a little bit better.
I wasn't sure I was going to like Charli at first, she seemed annoying & depressed until her interview at the Club, that is when we first meet the true Charli.
Cate gives us so many great characters it's hard to pick a favourite, Ryan is a typical red blood Alpha male that will rip the word apart for her.
Tori's breadcrumbs for her story just add anticipation, I can't wait for her & Gios story.

I had the utter privilege of meeting Cate last month at a book signing in Australia and I cannot believe its taken me this long to discover this wonderfully talented Aussie aurhor. I received an Arc of this book and oh my holy hotness!! My panties were in a twist as I devoured this delicious read. It was on fire. Ryan was a wet dream. The alpha dominant hero pulled from your fantasies. The BDSM scenes will melt your kindle. I loved Charli she was a fiesty, strong heroine who had a little naughty side that Ryan couldn't resist and when these two got together. Explosive!!!
Can't get enough of this lady and I am so so excited for Gio and Tori's book in Perfect Match.

Charli is a mixologist looking for two things. 1. To get a new job 2. Stay away from toxic men. I love Charli and her determination to not let anything phase her. I loved that she is literally a kick ass female. Toss them boys like trash. Ryan the very sexy man who likes to explore in the bedroom finds himself a challenge. These two together are everything its fun, steamy, possessive and spicy. Love me a alpha protective mmc and Ryan is all that. I really hope the next book Cate comes out with follows two main side characters from this one. Cate you know which two.

Phew, it's been a while since I've read a spicy book, but this was a pretty good one to jump back in with! Any books with a *private* club immediately catches my interest, and even though it didn't feature much happening in the club itself, it was still a great setting.
I loved all the characters and would like to read more with them, though the book did end pretty abruptly while setting up a cliffhanger, I guess, for Book 2. But the spicy scenes were 🔥 and I was really rooting for the main couple. Hope to read more soon!

Perfect Mix is one of those books that is so very well written, that once you start reading it, you won't be able to put it down until you finish. I thought Ryan was a very intriguing character, and Charli, well I wasn't sure about her in the beginning, but I ended up really loving her. I loved the plot, the spice, chemistry, and everything that this book had to offer. I can't wait to read book 2.

This was just the book I needed to get me out of a shallow rut. The tension and chemistry between Charli and Ryan was instant, and their transpiring relationship kept me reading. The 10 year age gap was 🤌 and the private club location was the 🍒 on top. This story was kinky, sensual, and romantic. The spice wasn't too over the top, but it was definitely enough to get someone hot and bothered 🫣. This was a quick read, and I quite enjoyed it!

Interesting story. There were some parts I really liked and other parts I wish were expanded on more. Some scenes seemed rush and glossed over especially towards the end. The spice was nice though I wish we had more beings the nature of the book. But what we had was nice. I would have liked to have some more detailed time in the actual club besides the two ish scenes we had. But over all a nice read.

Perfect Mix is the perfect concoction of lust, fantasy and fun!
I absolutely loved this book! The Perfect Mix is book one of the new Vice Club series. Ryan and Charli”s chemistry heats the pages as well as the Vice Club. Their banter is refreshing. Both Charli and Ryan are tough but when then let down their defensives sparks fly. Would highly recommend this book!

I couldn’t put it down. I loved the complexity of the characters. Charli, an Aussie in NY, is tough yet vulnerable. Ryan, her boss, was powerful yet he held back a lot of who he is.
The side characters also intrigued me and brought their own little flair to the storyline.

I was hesitant about the book at first however I was curious about the plot and I am so glad I chose to try it! It has so many swoons moments between the mmc and fmc, and it has plenty of spice to release all the tension that built between them. Although the ending did feel a bit sudden, I did enjoy the overall experience.

Lacking in a driving plot? I honestly didn't know where this book was going. Their relationship is so easy, sexy, and beautiful. There was almost no conflict. Did I enjoy the book? Yes. Did it grip me? No. You could almost call this a cozy 5🌶️ read. If that sounds like something you'd like then definitely check it out.

I loved her combo of soft and strength.
The club sounds interesting.
I wish there had been a little more of him showing her the ropes.
I would say good foreshadowing of next book, but it was a little more in your face than that. I’m looking forward to it.

This short read packs a mighty punch. I absolutely loved it and cannot wait for book number 2!! Super spicy and low angst and best of all no third act breakup! This is boss/employee, age gap and sex clubs to boot. It’s a nice easy read and like I say not a lot of angst with a whole load of action. Defo one to be adding to your tbr!!

Really good writing - great 'mix' of banter, emotions, vulnerability, hot love. Really like these characters and wish the story was longer. Abrupt ending, could call it a cliffhanger with the 2nd book not even out yet.

DNF 56%. I wasn’t feeling it. The writing was fine but I didn’t feel the pull between the MC.
