Little Tim and the Magic Apples, by Hillie Jeffrey and illustrated by Nathalie Kranich, is a beautifully illustrated book for children that will help teach them about believing in the power they have inside of themselves to be kind and strong.
I enjoyed reading this story to my little ones. The main characters are a little boy, Tim, who didn’t feel big and strong enough, and an apple tree who produced magic apples to help him see the magic he had inside himself. I especially enjoyed the beautiful pictures and the humor the talking tree adds to the story. The message is nice to help a young child to find the strength they have to be confident in themselves.
I voluntarily received a complimentary copy of this book, this is my honest review.
I love this story - little Tim’s realisation that he had the power all along.
Showing children to look inside of themselves, to see their own strengths and weaknesses.
I think it’s also important that children realise that confidence can be seen as a strength but it can be interpreted as a hindrance if it swings too far to the other extreme.
This reminds me of Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz who just had to click her heels, she has the power all along and so does Tim!
Lovely and clear illustrations, this is a sweet tale to encourage children to be themselves and to try to make new friends.
I’m going to get another copy to gift to my nieces as they’d saturating nursery & I think this will be perfect.
Such a sweet and imaginative children's book. My 10, 6, and 2 year old each enjoyed this book which is saying something! The pictures are perfect and kept my 2 year old interested. The rhyming flows easily and made perfect sense. I got a feeling of The Giving Tree while reading it but I feel like this book instills a sense of confidence in children that they have everything they need within themselves. Overall I would rate this 4/5 stars. I was sent this book by the Author through the early reviewers on Library Thing.
Thank you so much Librarything, Hillie Jeffery and Nathalie Kranich for allowing me the privilege of reading Little Tim and the Magic Apples.
The book was a good amount of pages and really held the attention of my baby. I enjoyed the message that the magic is within us. It was very easy to follow and appropriate amount of words per page. The illustrations was very colorful and we capture the literature very nicely.
Thanks again for allowing me this opportunity to read this magical book to my son.

Little Tim and the Magic Apples is a cute fun read about children finding confidence in themselves. It addresses several social situations that kids could find themselves in, including playing, feeling shy, etc. The illustrations are simple but effective in helping tell the story . There was one part where the tree was saying a few negative things the apples could do, which didn’t tie into the overall story well as we learn ( spoiler alert ) that the power is within. 4/5 stars

What a lovely and 'delicious' story that reminds us that the power is within. Such an important message that can help to keep us centered and to empower us to be the best versions of ourselves. I loved the illusrations, especially the glowing apples!
A wonderful book with awesome Illustrations about Little Tim and the magic apple tree. This is a very heartwarming book and the last words really ring true. Sometimes a little magic can bring out the power in you!
This story is ridiculously cute! My niece and nephew (5 and 2) love it. We had to read it several times. They love the rhymes and illustrations. I really like the messages about sharing, believing in yourself, and healthy eating. And there's just the right amount of magic! Super good find.
I'm smiling while I'm reading this book, Little Tim is very eager to become big and strong so he can play like his friends. For sure, this book will keep the kids reading and value friendship. The drawings are also clear and beautiful.
This is a really cute book for kids. The "magic" apples gave him the courage to join his friends and play with them. He really just needed to believe in himself and the apples mad him believe.
I loved this story full of wonderful illustrations and my daughter was excited to learn about the magic apples!!!! Will be reading more books as they come!!!
Little Tim is shy and afraid to play with the other kids when a magic apple tree helps him find the magic inside himself to try. Nicely written and the art is enchanting.
Eager to grow fast and be strong to play with his friends Little Tim met The Magic Apple Tree. This book is filled with fun and cute adventures. The Illustrations are eye-catching and colorful.
This book, with beautiful and whimsical illustrations, is a great uplifting story that is wonderful for children, especially those struggling with finding their own confidence. The tree helps little Tim realize his own greatness.
I loved this sweet story. Great illustrations, rhyming fun and an important message. The author has done an amazing job of packaging a very powerful message into a fun to read story. Little Tim learns that everything wants is already within him. The magic of a growth mindset is an important lesson for all ages. 🍎
One of the main reasons literary agents and traditional publishers rarely accept children's books in rhymes is that it is relatively easy to write bad rhymes. True, writing rhyming children's books is very difficult. The idea for the storyline of LITTLE TIM AND THE MAGIC APPLES is excellent. The words chosen are good - young readers can understand and relate to them. The illustrations are professional and connect well to the text. On many pages the cadence is good but on several of them the rhythm is lost and the rhymes seem forced. Otherwise, I recommend the book.
