Fandom: The Avengers Relationship: Steve Rogers/Tony Stark -------------------------------------------------- Parenting is harder than it looks. But, to be fair, so is being a human kid.
In which Tony becomes the rather overwhelmed parent to a bot who is no longer always a bot, and finds out that if DJ Stark is ever going to leave Stark Tower, then they've got to figure out a way to explain him to the US Government.
For the first time, Tony regrets that time he called members of congress "assclowns."
Another 4-star-plus read from an author who manages to combine intense emotional depth and brilliant characterization with moments of humor and quote-worthy lines. You (I) just want to hug all these broken people — including Dummy/DJ, of course, an adorable but believably difficult dual character — who are trying so hard.
One comment, for readers looking for a truly bot-heavy read: despite the series title, the other "helper" bots have only minor roles here, and Jarvis merely a secondary one.
