The way One Eighty had me in a chokehold should be shameful. I’ve been intrigued with this book since Charity first started posting about it and, let me say, it more than lived up to the hype. Rhian is on borrowed time. She’s been diagnosed with a rare form of blood cancer and, after multiple and unsuccessful treatments, she’s been given six months to live. Rhian has resigned herself to her fate so, she’s created a bucket list to live her best life for the time she has left. Up next on her list is number four. Crash a wedding. With the help of her partner in crime, she not only crashes the wedding of the most powerful family in Crescent Falls but, she puts herself directly in the line of sight of Gideon Powers.
Gideon is next in line to become the head of the Powers Family but, before he can take his rightful place on the throne, he has to find a wife. You see, Senior is old school. He doesn’t believe a man can run an empire without a good woman by his side. So, before he hands over the keys to the kingdom, Gideon is gon’ have to boss TF up and change someone’s last name to Powers expeditiously.
A spontaneous overnight trip to Vegas leads to a drunken night on the strip, gambling at the casinos, and an unexpected wedding officiated by a man in a dingy white suit. Problem solved right?!!! Not so much. This storyline has layers on top of layers and I’ve already spoiled enough so, you’re just going to have to read the book to find out what transpires next. One Eighty came through and did exactly what it was suppose to do. The romance was romancing, the chemistry was intense, and the abundance of love these characters had for one another was loud AF. I mean, it was just emanating throughout the pages. And, just when you think Charity overloaded our senses with this beautiful display of black love, sis said, “hold my beer” and hit us with a lil backstabbin’, deceit, and betrayal. Come on Charity! I need you to put down whatever book currently has your attention and read One Eighty now.

I adored this book! Rhian's journey, despite life dealing her a difficult hand, was incredibly beautiful. She decided to embark on a bucket list adventure, determined to make the most of every moment. That's how she met Gideon, the heir to the Powers Family dynasty. Gideon has money, power, and pull. He is due to inherit the family business, but he needs a wife.
Once he saw Rhian, he was intrigued. Fate worked in his favor because, after a night of fun in Vegas, these two ended up married. Rhian is the type of person you want to be friends with, the type of person you just want to be around.
She was caring, and loyal to a fault. She was strong, a fighter and so so resilient.
Although Gee’s marriage to Rhian sort of happened haphazardly or a bit unconventionally, feelings got strong and real pretty quickly.
His devotion to Rhian was palpable; every action he took to care for, protect, cherish, and love her was done with such beauty and intentionality.
The depth of love portrayed in this book was truly remarkable. We also got to experience betrayal, great family dynamics, and a little sprinkle of action. Overall, this book was a great read. CS has managed to make her way very high on my list of favorites.

Gideon & Rhian
Charity has quickly and very easily become one of my favorites….I Love the way her stories are penned with the right amount of scene setting detail(s)….Gideon and Rhian’s relationship originally was going to develop out of necessity….However, when he saw her and spent five (5) minutes with her he was intrigued. I love the development of their relationship and also watching Amon & Brie develop a relationship….Hopefully more will come from the Powers Family…I’m interested to hear from Gideon’s favorite cousin…perhaps she will have a story to tell.
The 2nd read was the newly released audiobook narrated by thee phenomenal Wesleigh Siobhan and Chance Smothers.

At any given moment, I feel compelled to read Charity Shane's new book the moment it's out. Charity you have really outdone yourself. I love stories that showcase Black love, and I must say, you're becoming more inventive with your storylines.
“Loving you and taking care of you is natural, like breathing. Don’t thank me for breathing.” Time is of the essence, and Rhian must not squander it moping around in misery. She is accomplishing items on her bucket list, which brings her to Gideon. He knew he had to have her the moment he saw her. Due to a mutual understanding, a single Vegas trip becomes more than just that. Seeing how Gee and Rhian's relationship evolves is lovely. We come along for the ride as they fall in love and find new happiness together. I couldn't put it down because I was dying to find out what happened next.
Also Shoutout to Auntie Rashawnda lol.

Timeless Love
Well this was a sweet read!
Rhian has been through a lot that has changed her outlook on life. She wants to LIVE and experience things she never thought she would and she does that by creating a bucket list. As she is crossing off one of her items she runs into Gideon, a fine boss of a man that slightly intimidates her but there is also clear sexual tension.
After a night in Vegas together these two wake up tied together in a way they didn't expect. However, Gideon is bound to make good on it. I just loved how he moved with intention for her. He was serious about them and made it very clear. Swoon, I love a decisive man. He did everything to ensure Rhian was happy and I loved that for her. She deserved the BIG love, protection, and adoration that he gave her despite her secrecy.
I know every story needs a little drama, but the storyline with the brother fell flat for me. There was a lot of build up, but the outcome fizzled. None the less I enjoyed Rhian and Gideon's journey.

I absolutely fckn loved this book. Who knew a bucket list could lead to a lifetime of happiness. Rhian is fulfilling a list while her partner in crime Brie helps her. Gideon sees Rhian and sparks fly. One trip to Vegas changes everything. Gideon wasn’t letting Rhian get away. Rhian started saying my man my man. I even loved Amon and Brie. I wouldn’t mind a Thanksgiving or Christmas book update on these two couples…hint hint 🤣🤣

In One Eighty we meet Rhian Barnes, who had put together a 100 item bucket list she must complete in order to feel like her life has served some purpose. On that list is crashing a wedding and when her cousin Brie convinces her to crash the wedding of the son of the powerful Powers family her life will never be the same! We also meet Gideon Powers, the heir of the Powers family dynasty. The only thing standing in his way is finding a wife before his father retires. After making a bet with his friend Amon, Gideon decides to roll the dice and finds love in the most unconventional way!
Gideon 😩 that’s all I have to say. This man. It’s been a long time since a book boyfriend had skinning and grinning like this! The way he loved and protected what was his! He did not care who you were. You hurt what was his and it would be consequences and repercussions. And the way he loved Rhian. I mean from jump!! No and ifs or buts about baby. That was his wife! Do no play with him. He did everything and I mean everything in his power to make sure he could love her for the rest of his life. And Rhian! Imagine knowing your fate and coming to accept it then meeting the love of your life. Now her stubbornness did make me mad. Like girl please tell this man 😩 but I could understand her reasoning but when she did! And the family aspect, I loved Powers family, even that ol snake in the grass! How they embraced Rhian and made her feel like one of them immediately. And Brie!! Listen I love cousin relationships! Especially best friend cousins!

I'ma need Charity Shanae to bring herself right on down to the front of the class because, ma'am, why you do us like that?! This book had me up until 3 o'clock this morning but, it was so worth it. I don't have time to give a full review right now because, your girl has to get ready for the word via Mt. Pillow Rest. Did y'all miss the part where I said I was up until 3am? What a heartfelt story. Gideon and Rhian were such a beautiful couple. Both of them have such a pure heart and spirit they were perfectly matched. I love the way the loved on each other. Gideon was definitely Rhian's covering. He was her protector and provider from day one.

When we were introduced to Rhian, I loved her quirkiness, her drive to live with purpose, her lists, and her intention to cross off everything on it. However, the thought did not get past me, why this type of bucket list? What’s wrong? Is she ill? I was a bit afraid for her, and ready to cry, but I pressed on. However, was I read and experienced was light, laughter, great energy, some sadness, and whole lotta love!
Geeeee……. Charming, handsome, smart, but was not the one to mess with, or you will be introduced to Tangie. Running his family’s business was light work for him. Something he had been bred to do and could not wait to succeed his father. But Senior had his rules. He needed to marry to fulfill his father’s wish and gain the throne. However, he had not met anyone he wanted to give that title of Mrs. See, to Gee that title really meant something, and he wanted the type of love his parents had. So not just any woman would do.
The interaction of Rhian and Gee when they first met, seemed innocent enough, but the sparks were already flying, and Gee had an inkling about her. She challenged him, and talked to him without fear, like no one else ever had done before. I can’t tell you how much I loved these two together. They had such an intense connection, and it took no time for their souls to merge. What a difference a day makes! When Gee says I am your husband, you betta take notice, cause he is not playin’. This man is everythinggggggggggg! The way he immediately took care of, supported, and loved on Rhian was one of the most beautiful displays I have witnessed in a long time. 😍😍

Whew!!!!
Its been a longgg time since I rated a book 5 ⭐️s. Charity did her thing! Gideon is everything. Forget Ciara’s prayer we need Rhian’s prayer 🤣. This book was so well written and a true testament of faith, love, & trust. No spoilers but we need a short story about Brie & Amon!

4.5⭐️ - this was a beautiful story. I was wondering if this couple would have any challenges and boy did they! I felt the plot twist on a different level and I was so glad to see that Rhian was able to have a second chance at life. Gideon was truly a dream and the perfect match for her- so selfless, protective, and loving. 🥰 Good Job on this one!

Gideon Damn Powers. Swooooooonnnnnn.
What a man, what a man, what a man, what a mighty good man.
I loved this story. There were a few moments where I was actively adding Charity to my shyt list lol, but she did not disappoint me the way I thought she would.
Pleasantly surprised.
Rhian was smart, stubborn, and passionate about life……and later Gee. She embraced how he changed her life and fell right in line. She was uncompromising about her health for about 75 percent of the book though, and understandably so.
This a story about fast connections, second chances in life, hope, and resilience. 5 stars read for sure.

All I can say is thank goodness for Gideon. His family stipulation wound up being a blessing in disguise for Rhian pronounced Ree-ann because my son's name is spelled the same way pronounced Ryan. Anyway I digress... lol
Instant connection and who would have thought a list and a stipulation would have these two spinning. Gideon definitely was a protector. Once he married Rhian he was on it. Anyone could get it even family! What I loved about Gideon is he wasn't afraid to show his feelings about or to Rhian. A very good example of emotional intelligence. Scratch the fact he will cut three of your fingers off! lol
On the other end of the spectrum Gideon would cut you, chop you, poke you, and even convince you to kill yourself. I grappled with his two sides. One where he loved and fought for his woman fiercely and the other where he would kill you and show no conscience. At times, I felt I was reading about two different people. Some of it might of had to do with the transition of the scenes. It always didn't flow and I had to question the personality of the MMC.
Rhian was the perfect damsel who needed to be rescued in every possible sense. Rhian did vex me when she refused to tell Gideon the truth. Like really Rhian you are going to let this man love you to the ends of earth and not tell him? Luckily it all worked out in the end and Gideon proved that his love was the most powerful thing she needed.
Side note: the advice Gideon's dad gave him on how to deal with that thang head on was so inspirational. It was the words Gideon needed to not give up. It's clear why Gideon is the way he is. He get it from his daddy!

4.7 ⭐️ (This is a Marriage of Convenience/Romance/InstaLove Trope)
💒Gideon Powers and Rhian have One hundred-Eighty days each, to find a spouse- but for two completely different reasons. ➡️Rhian has marriage on her bucket list, and she doesn’t have very long to complete it. my current favorite of the year
This book had me all over the place with my emotions. I don’t think I’ve cried or laughed so hard a book so far. I loved the entire book start to finish. Gideon and Rhain are goals and I found my next book bae.

This book hit a little close to home for me. 4 years ago I was tested & screened for Leukemia. Thankfully my results were negative, but I’m still being tested & monitored by an oncologist/hematologist because my red blood cells still aren’t normal. Thank you for bring awareness.

Emotional……
I read the reviews before reading this book. I knew I would probably shed a tear or two but not that damn many tears!!!!! This was a very sweet story and I loved every bit of it. I would definitely reread!!!!!!

If you are looking for a good cry, then this is the one for you.
I usually avoid stories that get me in my feelings, but this was soo worth it.
Gee is the oldest son of the Powers family and is ready to take control in 6 months when his father retires. Only problem is, his dad is old school and wants a family man to be the head. Out of all the brothers the only family man is the youngest who is NOT cut out for this life. To secure his position in the family and to avoid baby brother being thrown into a position he doesn't want, Gideon needs to find a wife.
Rhian Barnes has already marked off 88 items from her bucket list. Number 89 puts her in the path of Gideon and making her the perfect solution to his problem. Not only is he smitten with her, but he wants to help her mark a few more items off her bucket list.
Ya'll, I went into this thinking this would be a business marriage, nope. the nuptials ended up being a hilarious alcohol induced night in Vegas. After a bit of resistance our girl is worn down and these two are just the cutest couple. He's super possessive and alpha and she's incredibly sassy and likable.
It was all good, the spice was hitting, the love is there then BAM! The authors decide she's just gonna rip out everyone's hearts with some Walk to Remember/From Scratch, panic inducing emotional roller coaster. In ADDITION to the God Father mafia family drama and betrayal storyline that's going on at the same time.
I was on the edge of my seat. This needs to be a movie because if I had to cry then EVERYONE else needs to experience this pain as well. If ever made into a movie, this would be a great date night movie because there is something for everyone.
This is a LOVE STORY that will live rent free in my head for the next few decades.

Emotional rollercoaster
Its official, I will read anything Charity Shane writes. This had me a bit worried. I saw the authors note that the story would have a happy ending but I just didn't trust it. I am glad I was wrong and Rhian and Gideon had a amazing love story. I love a drunken accidental marriage/ marriage of convenience. They were exactly what the other needed. This had me feeling all the emotions. The scene with Gideon and Senior after he learns the truth was very emotional. I look forward to reading more stories by this author.

All The Feels
This book gave me all the feels. Rhian got dealt a tough deck with life but she put on her happy face and lived life to the fullest.
Gideon took one look at Rhian and wanted to make this woman his.
While both had their reasons for making the moves they did in One Eighty, they put each other first. Their story came together beautifully and this was a great read.

This is a wonderful story of Gideon and Rhian finding love unexpectedly
Both are on a timeline of 180 days for different reasons
The author created relatable characters and the storyline was well developed
The supporting character Brie and Amon brought additional depth to the story
There is some drama, betrayal, family love and friendship
Some parts may make you cry but the author gives us our HEA at the end
Great job Charity and I highly recommend this book you will not be disappointed

The way I blushed for Gideon & Rhian 🥰 this was a fast, wild ride and I was here for it! Without saying too much: Charity did her research when writing this book, I can tell! It’s hard reading the subject matter at times because most get it outrageously wrong, but she did it so well! Amon & Brie were a nice touch to the story. Now, D Mark, I wasn't expecting that at all. And please, don't read too fast and miss auntie Rashawnda! 😎🤎

This book took me on an emotional and spiritual journey. Somehow this unconventional love story restored my faith in miracles. I know it’s fiction but it did. Gideon loved her so much that it healed. I loved their relationship, his dominance, Rhian’s stubbornness, her lists, her words, Brie, and Amon.

Ms.Charity Shane you ate down with this one. This book had me in my feelings. I was smiling like Gideon was my man. He is top tier book boyfriend. I loved all of it. Does Amon and Brie have a book? If so I need to find it now!
