Come Break My Heart Again

Rate this book
An angsty, opposites attract, forced proximity standalone romance from bestselling author C.W. Farnsworth.

The first time Ryder James broke my heart, I was fifteen and sad.

The second time he broke my heart, I was eighteen and jaded.

Both times, I fell for him effortlessly. Falling is easy.

Our landings are just hard. Painful.

We were a sad song with a slow melody. Wildflowers with paper petals. Hidden letters with visible tears. A beautiful tragedy.

Except tragedies have endings. Our story just…stopped.

Seven years later, I still have more questions than answers. Questions I’m too proud to ask after almost a decade of silence. Answers he refuses to share, no matter how much time we’re forced to spend together.

Everything’s changed…except how I feel about him. And the recurring moments when I’m certain Ryder hasn’t forgotten our past either.

Can you forget your first?

Or are they destined to keep breaking your heart…over and over again?

“He's the one that taught me how to kiss, and maybe that's why our lips touching feel like reunited puzzle pieces.”

This book is filled with all the things I love!! The minute I finished this, I wanted to read it again.

Come Break My Heart Again is an angsty, second chance romance, told in both dual timelines and perspectives. The timelines alternate each chapter for the majority of the book from 7 years prior, when Ryder and Elle are in high school to the present. This is my favourite way for second chance romances to play out as you get to experience them fall in love, uncover what came between them and watch them find each other again in the present.

— Their story is packed with angst and turmoil and I was invested from the first few pages. This story is unique but parts of it reminded me of two of my favourite reads, Happy Place and A Love Letter to Whiskey. Happy Place, because of the friend group dynamic and watching them be forced to be around each other in the present as their friends are getting married. The tension was palpable, watching them navigate their unresolved feelings for each other, without their friends knowing the extent of what happened. A Love Letter to Whiskey, because of the level of angst and the childhood love aspect. Right person, wrong time.

— The amount of love and loyalty Ryder and Elle have for each other is undeniable. They shared so much chemistry it made me giddy. Their love wasn't toxic, though there was some miscommunication, but it was understandable in the circumstances. Ryder had a rough start in life and this only continued to escalate, whereas Elle came from a wealthy family.

— The only reason this fell slightly short of 5 stars for me was some minor things — I wish we had more of an insight about Elle's sister as it formed such a large part of Elle's character. I also would have liked more of a glimpse of Ryder and Elle when they first met when they were 14/15. This is probably not a criticism, but I loved the story so much I was left wanting more of them because their backstory took up a good chunk of the book. I hope we get an epilogue or bonus chapter someday 🥺

The writing was beautiful and impactful. C.W. Farnsworth is a true storyteller and I will definitely check some of her other books out. Pick this one up asap as it's finally out today!!

Many thanks to Valentine PR and C.W Farnsworth for sending me an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

Quotes

“If you want me, I'm yours.”

“I'd forgotten what it was like to be in a room with Elle, to have my attention pulled to one spot like a magnet's force. She's a distraction like no other.”

“I could go anywhere I want. Be anyone I want. And I'd still choose to be lying here, listening to Ryder breathe. It's my favourite sound in the world, I think. It means he's near. Alive.”

“But that's Ryder's magic. The effect he has on me. He doesn't wash the darkness away. But he changes the light. He makes the hard moments look brighter. Appear liveable.”

“You've always been my only choice, okay? I've never picked anyone else.”

”I love you. I miss you. I’ll never forget you. Maybe in another life.”

C.W. Farnsworth’s penmanship has always breathed a delicate undertone that masterfully captures the raw emotions and inner conflicts experienced by the main characters throughout their journeys. in the poignant novel “Come Break My Heart Again,” the author skillfully navigates themes of grieving loved ones, battling with destiny and injustice, transcending the boundaries of a typical second chance romance.

In this novel the storytelling intricately weaved past and present chapters, throughout them, a lingering question overshadowed the protagonists’ happiness - “what actions led teenage Rayder, the male main character, to endure a seven-year prison sentence?” it all culminated in a convergence that revealed the downfall of everything by the last—tumultuous— chapters.

i particularly enjoyed the way the storyline portrayed how Ella and Ryder navigated rebuilding trust and friendship across two timelines, showcasing parallels in their quest. both narratives mirrored each other in certain aspects, particularly in their inevitable love for each other at different stages of life, as teenagers and adults. thankfully, their adult love story had the happily ever after they deserved.

however, I would have appreciated a glimpse of their very first encounter and the trajectory of their relationship as they explored the terrain of adolescence and first loves, still barely fourteen years old. nevertheless, the book and their dynamic chemistry proved to be an entertaining and captivating read. the storytelling was a thrill ride of emotional ups and downs, a true rollercoaster of feelings, as even with a bittersweet conclusion, I found myself pondering the fates of certain secondary characters that deserved better that their heartbreaking stories and tragic endings.

many thanks to Valentine PR and the author for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review

I’ve read two books from this author and loved both . This one , I hated. I am with all the other reviewers. I loathed both characters. Ryder was a coward and undeserving of Elle, no matter what the circumstances were , he made all the wrong choices and hurt her over and over . But, nothing compared to the animosity I felt towards Elle. I think she is my most disliked character in all my book reading days. She was pathetic. A doormat , no damn personality, no pride pr dignity . She was worst than her dog Scout. What was the point of her having all that success in work, friends, family, riches, etc.. to turn out to be such a pathetic loser in love? No one , should ever make you feel that worthless and dumb . If they do, find your damn self worth and dignity and move the f on!! How many times does your friends have to look at you with pity and tell you to move on? You made yourself look like a fool over and over for what? I can’t read stories where women are subjected to this kind of humiliation and not just a few chapters , the entire book! Because I would never ever allow my daughter to be treated that way so I can’t bear to read it about someone someone else’s daughter even though it’s fiction . I have one more book dl on my kindle by this author, I hope it’s not like this one because those two other books I read were just too good to give up yet .

Come Break My Heart Again by C.W. Farnsworth

4/5 stars

Come Break My Heart Again is the love story of Elle and Ryder.
The book has a dual timeline. It takes place in the present and in the past, around seven years ago.

We start in the present where Elle is visiting Ryder's mother. The pain was palpable and I instantly it. We quickly find out their relationship is laced in pain.

Elle is also carrying the weight of the dead of her sister on her shoulders. And she is struggling to fit into society. Into her parents lives and into her current relationship.

In the past we see them reconnect, fall in love and be there for each other.

"Doesn't matter. I'm not asking you to forgive me."
"Too bad." I click my seat belt into place. "I already did."

But in the present we see them struggle with their shared pain. Elle feels the pain of when he abandoned her. And even though Ryder apologizes multiple times. The pain still covers her like a heavy blanket.

What bothers me most about my conversation with Keira is, she's right - my relationships always run into problems around Ryder. Mostly because he always makes other guys seem like consolation prizes. By comparison, they were less. Less excitement. Less passion. Less ... love.

But even though the pain clings to her, to them. They also gravitate towards each other. Their eyes always search each other. And everybody sees it. Their friends, their family - everyone.

"You're playing with fire, Lo."
I lean closer, well aware the change in position means I'm grinding directly on top of his erections. "No. I'm begging you to burn me."

This is a book of strong push and pull. It's a book about need, belonging and redemption. It's about hope and getting hurt.

As soon as I'm out of the doorway I start running.
Worries he'll chase me.
Hating he won't.

But it is also about growth and finding out who you truly are. Seperate, together, with friends, with family. It's about hope and never giving up. It is truly a beautiful and heartfelt story. I love it so much.

It is a rather slow book. At some parts I wish the pacing was a little faster. But overall it's a really good book and I really enjoyed it.

4 big stars from me for this beautiful love story.

Thank you @authors_empowered for the arc copy of this book! 📚💕

This book follows the on again, off again romance (hook ups?) of Eleanor and Ryder.

There are lots of sexual encounters between the two, from the time they were high school freshman, but they tend to end with storming out and Ryder insisting that it just won’t work between them. He also never really talks to her or opens up in any real way. Eleanor seems to just endlessly chase him around.

I may not be the ideal reader for this kind of love story, however, as I just didn’t vibe with the rude, dismissive behavior of Ryder and that attitude somehow making Eleanor love him so much.

“Can someone be mean in a good way?”
Eliza shrugs, “Mean means you care”

Personally, I feel like that kind of message is a bit toxic, but I also know it’s still such a popular trope in love stories.

The book itself was written well enough and the friendship dynamics were super believable, but I’m kind of over the “mean guy I’m in love with” vibes.

Maybe that’s just me. What are your thoughts? Check out this book and let me know what you think 💕🥰📚

Happy reading!

CWF is an author I found near the beginning of my reading journey two years ago and I’ve stuck with her through every book, and she does not disappoint. I was a little worried about this one alright?? I am normally not a second chance girlie. Like it has to been done right, especially a then/now timeline…. But Charlotte had me hooked from the beginning. I absolutely LOVED this second chance romance. It is probably my favorite one out there. 4.5✨ because the miscommunication was a little overdone by the end, but I still devoured and loved every second of this book. The tension and angst between the couple in the now?? Wow. So good.

I actually want to curl into a ball around my kindle and keep everyone in this book safe forever.

This book technically spans 10 years but I thought the pacing was perfect. I was never bored. I was always invested in the story. The dual pov and flashbacks were done SO well. The storytelling is incredible.

These two characters have such deep rooted love for each other and it was actually painful to watch them struggle. Both of these characters had so much depth it made me care about both of them so much.

I love a second (third in this case I guess?) chance romance and I was absolutely not disappointed. C.W. Farnsworth absolutely knows how to pack a punch in her writing. She is incredible.

I just love me some angsty, second chance romances that make me sob so much despite knowing it’s going to be a happy ending.

This book delivered with the angst truly. And the romance absolutely ate. I also love the turn of events as it why they “fell out of love” because topics like that are not often talked about in stories that can be really serious consequences.

So pretty much all I have to say is I gobbled this book up like it was my last meal😋

elodie clarke is everything the boys want, and everything the girls want to be. if you're not friends with the cheerleader captain, then you want to be her. being one of the Ones there is obviously no one higher than her on the high school social status.

ryder james is one of the Twos. a simple guy who has moved to the richest part of town, facing some problems of his own. but they always say that damaged goods are the best kind of guys. the troublemaker who is usually reserved, only has eyes for the one girl who can probably turn his life upside down.

ry has broken elle's heart once, and when it happens a second time, she is sick of the excuses she has made for their relationship; but that doesn't stop it from happening a third time.

the first time ryder came back into her life, she broke up with her boyfriend, the second time isn't any different. within this cat and mouse game, these two finally understand the true meaning of meant to be. right person, wrong time.

following their story is a whirlwind and definitely a rollercoaster of emotions. they feel real, they hurt and they obviously don't know how to communicate about those emotions. after ryder has spent seven years in prison, he is back into elle's life under unfortunate circumstances but that doesn't mean it doesn't shake up her world.

relationships are meant to be hard, but hard enough where you would have your heart broken twice?

at the end of the day, love is enough for the both of them and they might be able to get their happily ever after.

Let me tell you this book was such a good surprise!!

I went to this story completely blind and I truly recommend you to do it as well.

"Come Break My Heart Again" was a deep story about two characters and their love story. We got all the feels, present, and past points of view where we can follow and get to know both of the main characters better.

Elle was my favorite part of this book - the way I changed my mind about her was amazing, and her character development was definitely my favorite in the whole book.

Ryder was so understandable, and I truly could feel the reasons beyond his choices and why he did the things he did.

I really adored this book and how the main couple fights their problems in order to be together again!

Please read this one!!!!

Thank you so much, Valentine PR and C.W. Farnsworth for this ARC!

An emotional, second chance romance.🥺 I truly appreciate your acceptance for this e-copy C.W. Farntworth and ValentinePr.

Elle comes from a rich family, which is trying to decide everything for her. Even the person she has to date. So, Archer is the one who they choose for her - because he also comes from a big money family. But Elle's heart was stolen a long time ago by one boy: Ryder James.

Ryder is the opposite of Elle, coming from a family who didn't have much, but they grew up being good people. His mother raised him and his little brother by herself. Unfortunately, Ryder gets himself into a really bad situation, which will affect his entire life 🥺.

Elle and Ryder have an on and off relationship because of the times Ryder has to go away. This time, he is here to stay and he is trying to regain her heart, knowing she is the love of his life.

This book just had the perfect ingredients for a great read. It had drama, suspense, comedy and, the most important, lots of romance 🤭. I'm definitely recommending this book💖💖.

While I loved this, something about it felt…unsatisfying. One, I think we should absolutely had some flashbacks of them as freshman and the intial falling in love. Two, there was too much telling and not enough show. So I guess that kinda means the same thing as point one.

Also, don’t hate me too much, but I don’t think Ryder deserved Elle. I think he needed to grovel more because I didn’t think he did enough to prove his love for her. Always pushing Elle away got old very fast. I just needed more.

This is a beautifully crafted tale of love, heartbreak, and the undeniable pull of first loves. From the moment we meet Ryder James and Elle, their chemistry is palpable, and the emotional rollercoaster that follows is both exhilarating and heart-wrenching.

It is such a poetic blend of nostalgia and longing, vividly portraying the intensity of young love and the pain of its dissolution. Farnsworth’s writing is lyrical, painting vivid images of the highs and lows of Ryder and Elle’s relationship. The metaphorical language—comparing their love to a “sad song with a slow melody” and “flowers with paper petals”—adds depth and resonance, making their story linger in your mind looonnnngggg after you turn the last page.

The characters are well-developed, with Ryder embodying the young, tortured soul who leaves you questioning his motives and feelings until the very end. Elle’s journey of self-discovery and her struggle to reconcile her past with her present is deeply relatable and emotionally engaging.

What sets this book apart is its raw honesty. Farnsworth doesn’t shy away from exploring the messy, often painful reality of rekindling old flames🔥 The seven-year gap in their story adds a layer of mystery and tension, making their encounters charged with unresolved emotions and unspoken truths.

However, the resolution of their story, while satisfying, felt slightly rushed, leaving some questions about their future lingering. A bit more exploration into their current lives and the repercussions of their past could have added even more depth to the conclusion.

Overall, Come Break My Heart Again is a poignant, bittersweet read that captures the essence of first loves and the huge mark they leave on our hearts🩷

Oh my gosh I am obsessed with this book… the perfect angsty second chance summer themed romance you need!

“You’re playing with fire, Lo.” “No. I’m begging you to burn me.”

💔 ANGST
💗 High school first love to 7 years later
💔 Dual POV
💗 Bad boy/good girl
💔 Second chance romance
💗 Forced proximity
🌶️🌶️

“I didn’t believe in much. But I believed in us.”

❤️Ryder and Elodie (Elle) are a classic story of opposites attract, Ryder is from the wrong side of the tracks, and Elle is the perfect student, cheer captain, popular rich girl. They fall in love, only for Elle to have her heart broken when Ryder moves away. He moves back 2 years later and she falls in love with him again, only to have her heart broken again. 7 years later and will she let Ryder in again, or is she doomed to only have Ryder break her heart? Elle is the only woman Ryder has ever loved. Will she let him back in or is he destined to pine after her for the rest of his life?❤️

I, and I cannot express this enough, cried SO MUCH while reading this book. At this point I’ve read so many romance novels that it takes a lot for me to physically cry, and this one did it.

There were some sensitive and heavy topics discussed in this book, and they were handled with such care. Everything in this story truly had its place.

Thank you so much to Valentine PR and C.W. Farnsworth for the advanced copy of CBMHA in exchange for my honest review! ❤️

22/06/24: the 2024 version is SO much better 🫶🏻

I JUST LEARNED THAT THIS HAVE TWO VERSIONS AND I HAVE READ THE OLD VERSION THINKING IT WAS THE NEW ONE IM GONNA KILL MYSELF !!!!

So this is about the 2021 version:

this book made me feels things and i finished it in like 5 hours and that usually makes me automatically give at least 4 stars to books..but:
1 - Ryder should have shown his love for Elle more through actions, yes I felt he loved her, but I would have liked to have seen him act more on that love.
2 - Ryder spent 7 years in a maximum security prison and when he came out this subject was addressed superficially, as if he had only stayed for 1 week. Come on guys, anyone would need at least years of therapy after this time in prison???

and what was he actually doing in Florida during high school?

3 - We didn’t get NOTHING from when they first met, i WANTED TO SEE THEY FALLING FOR EACH OTHER for the first time! Frustrating!
4 - Elle should have made him grovel more, what do you mean she took a job in Maine for him before he asked her to come along??? no baby make this man WORK HARD FOR YOU. He spends the whole book thinking he's not enough for her and doesn't do anything about it to actually deserve her.

that’s it bye 👋

Jumping between past and present, this book swept me into a whirlwind of second chance romance, emotional angst and a lot of penned frustration. I'm usually a bit overwhelmed by books with a High-School setting, due to the level of self-sabotage and emotional instability displayed by young characters (I know it's in their nature, but still...!). Farnsworth was able to make it work. Elodie and Ryder's journey is a rollercoaster of unresolved feelings and deep vulnerabilities, set against a backdrop of intense emotions, prejudices, self-discovery, and forgiveness.

Farnsworth crafted Elodie and Ryder with such depth that I found myself fully immersed in their world. Elodie Clarke is the epitome of a Queen Bee—boys want her, and girls want to be her. As the cheerleader captain, she reigns supreme in high school social circles, is a top-student, has a trust fund and a plan laid out by her parents for her entire life. But there's more to her, a side only one person is allowed to see.

Ryder James, on the other hand, is a contrast to Elodie's polished exterior. Living on the wrong side of the tracks, Ryder is known for his rebellious streak and a reputation that could destroy everything Elodie seems to hold dear. Despite their differences, there is an undeniable desire between them and a history marked by heartbreak and miscommunication.

This story delves into the complexities of second chances with grace and depth. With Ryder having shattered Elodie's heart once before, themes of longing and redemption are expertly woven throughout, drawing you deeper into their journey of reconciliation and self-reflection. Their interactions are raw and real, capturing the complexities of love and forgiveness.

Farnsworth writes in a way that makes you feel emotional and makes you want to go there. I was pleasantly surprised by her skill in balancing heartache with hope, frustration, and resilience, keeping me on edge as Elodie and Ryder navigated their turbulent journey towards finding each other.

Overall, if you’re looking for an emotional read with characters you can’t help but root for, “Come Break My Heart Again” is a must-read. It’s a story that resonates with anyone who has ever struggled to mend a broken heart or dared to hope for a second chance at love.

*I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. Receiving the ARC didn't affect my opinion of the book.

First person, dual POV: Ryder & Elle
Rating: 4⭐️
Spice: 2 🌶️
Tropes: then & now, second chance, opposites attract

I have come to absolutely adore CW Farnsworth books. Charlotte knows exactly how to get me all up in my feels and this one was no exception.
I loved being able to follow the then & now of Elle and Ryder. You get to see how much they’ve grown and changed and how each other has affected the other one both during high school and as 25 year olds.
These two have been through it, separately and within their relationship.

Elle is a “One”, she comes from the expensive side of the tracks. Her parents have a specific life plan for her, especially after her sister passed away years before. Ryder is a “Two” and comes from the “bad” side of the tracks. But ever since they met as freshmen, their magnetic attraction has been insane.
As the title suggests, hearts get broken more than once. And yeah, if they would have communicated a little better, the heart break and drama wouldn’t have been there as bad. Personally, the miscommunication was warranted in this story because it stems from them being just teens in the first part of their relationship dealing with intense situations. Then as adults they are trying to navigate those feelings from 7 years ago when they last saw each other to now.
Their chemistry is off the charts. I loved the tension of seeing them fall for each other in high school. It gave me so many butterflies.

The story is fast paced and you do have drama that is mirrored with the then & now chapters. A few moments it was a bit repetitive with the back and forth of miscommunication. But again, it felt appropriate for the situations they were dealing with. There’s so much angst and emotion that has you turning pages and staying up way too late to see how it all pans out.
I loved the relationships within their friend group and how Elle kept close with Ryder’s mom & brother in their years apart.

I do wish we would have had more with Elle and her parents and dealing with the loss of her sister, though. It’s just used as like a stepping stone for a couple scenes, but I think it would have flushed out Elle’s character even more. I don’t think we even find out how she died? So that’s definitely something that could have tipped it over to 5 stars.

Elle and Ryder are the definition of right person, wrong time, they come from opposite worlds, and yet they’ve been in love with each other since they were teenagers.

I really liked how their story was told both in the past and the present with the dual timeline, although I was a bit more interested in their present selves; to see how they both were around each other given that they haven’t seen each other for seven years.

I was really intrigued by Ryder; he was quite hard done by and endured his fair share of bad luck and situations that resulted in losing seven of his life.

I can always guarantee that Charlotte’s more angst books are going to pull all the emotions for me and this certainly did; although it was on the slower burns of romances, I still really enjoyed seeing how Elle and Ryder found their way back to each other.

I was fortunate enough to receive this book as an ARC, and I fell completely in love! Elle & Ryder’s story is one I will remember months from now.

This book is a second chance romance, I cannot stress enough how thankful I am for the Duel POV, getting to see both sides of the story was so important! The story progressed so beautifully, the little bread crumbs you get throughout really keeps you on the edge of your seat NEEDING to know what happens next. This book kinda gave me a small town/found-family kinda vibe with all the side characters & the “everyone knows everyone” feel to it and I loved it!!

There was so much DEPTH to these characters, it truly felt like I knew them. There were so many emotions, so many pieces to the puzzle.

Overall, this book was incredibly well written and I had SUCH a fun time reading this book!

Some tropes: (no spoilers)
-second chance
-Duel POV
-angsty
-Bad boy/good girl

Some triggers:
-Death of loved one
-SA

“You’re playing with fire, Lo.”
“No. I’m begging you to burn me.”

first of, I'd like to thank the author for giving me the trust of an ARC version of this book!

the story is a third chance ale showing what Ryder and Elodie had to go through to get together. she's the rich girl (also known as a One) and he's the poor boy (also known as a Two) who find love in each other. he breaks her heart two times before landing in prison because of mutual friends they keep meeting. they find love again in each other and get their own happy (sort of. cried a bit at the end) ending.

I'd also say it's a sort of slowburn as they don't get truly together until Maybe 80% into the book. there are flashbacks of the past though, but during the present they don't get together till later on. def a must read!

Honestly, I ended this just confused😅 Was there a first book that I missed? I felt like I was dropped right into the middle of the story and was completely lost. Also, I would have preferred if there was more focus on the present than in the past. The then and now chapters got old.

I'll come back later and rate it.

I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review

This is a toss up between 2 or 3 stars, but overall with my rating I chose 2 stars which is “meh, more I didn’t like than liked” about the book.

This book shouldn’t have been rewritten.
I was actually in the process of reading the old version and will work my way to finish that version… as I liked it more and am glad I have that copy of the book.

The jumping timelines every chapter made the story really choppy and not flow. It made it very easy to set the book down after each chapter and scroll TikTok or do other things instead of just wanting to know what happens next.

I did not like the ending where Ryder was very insecure about Elle making the money in the relationship and then it’s just glossed over.
She changed the characters too much in this story and I guess that’s the hard part when you have readers who have read the first versions as well as the newer versions she is rereleasing. Out of the 3 books she has rewrote, the only book I loved the changes to were Left Field Love.

This makes me so sad to rate this book so low bc this author is one of my favorites but I almost wanted to dnf this book has it was pretty boring with random sx scenes that came out of no where and I was basically skimming the ending. We barely got anything from their freshman year in the book to even make this worth being called a third chance romance. The old version made me feel connected to all points of their relationship they had.

Old version >
I hear she set this up to let Reese have a book, and she just wasn’t good enough of a character or strong enough for me to want to read about her.

"But I know he'll always be THE kiss. The one I think of and want to relive. Over and over and over again."

I absolutely loved this book! Do you like second chance, good girl/bad boy romance novels? How about if it also has some A+ friendships, witty banter and a little "finding yourself" too? Then I have the book for you! The author does a wonderful job making you feel like you're right there with Elle the whole time. Most of the book takes place in the present, but a few chapters are set in the past and really make you fall in love with the main characters. Ryder and Elle's relationship is frustrating and perfectly imperfect. I could not stop thinking about this book after it was over, and I wish (🤞🏻) there was a book 2! I'm so glad I have the physical copy now because the cover is gorgeous!

4.5⭐️ rounded up

"You're playing with fire, Lo."
"No. I'm begging you to burn me."

This was my first book by this author, I thoroughly enjoyed it. There was so much emotion in this book, it was like I could feel what the characters were feeling. I loved the dual POV, as well as dual timeline, this was such a well written book!

Elle was raised in a wealthy family, her parents trying to plan her life out for her. Ryder was raised in the opposite side of town, by only his mother. Their upbringings completely opposite, yet they’re drawn to each other. They meet freshman year of high school, falling in love but keeping it secret. Hearts are broken and mended, then broken again. Now as adults, these two find each other trying to navigate the feelings from 7 years ago.

I loved seeing these two fall in love, as teenagers and as adults. Their chemistry was amazing throughout the book! I loved the side characters as well, especially Tuck and Keira 🥰

A big thank you to the author, publisher and Valentine PR for the E-ARC
