They call me Dreamboat for a reason. My friends say I’d flirt with my shadow if it got me laid, and they’re not wrong. I’m a good-looking man with a high sex drive and I love a good time. I know what I like and have no trouble getting it.

As a former Navy SEAL, I’m highly trained to handle dangerous situations. The security firm I work for with my three best friends in Portland has given me a new lease on life, away from danger.

Everything is great until I piss off the wrong people.

Now the protector needs a protector.

And he happens to be the one man I keep running from. The one I hooked up with a few months ago in Vegas. The one who sees me for what and who I am. And that’s scarier than any enemy.

The Dreamboat is Book 4 in the Portland Protectors–EHM Security Series. It’s an age gap, running from love, and the protector needs a protector MM romance.

Emerson Beckett is new to the publishing world. As an avid sports fan and lover of well-written M/M romance books, Emerson loves her new career as an author of gay romance. It’s even more fulfilling for her when she can combine the two.

The journey to becoming an author started with an idea while reading on the sofa. That idea became an email that ultimately resulted in Emerson using those teacher skills to edit novels for three phenomenal MM romance authors. The third referral led to an opportunity to co-write a book series with one of the most genuine and kindest people she’s ever had the pleasure of knowing- Rheland Richmond.

Emerson is the co-author of The Package Deal Series, which includes The Quarterback Keeper, Pass Interference, Unnecessary Roughness, Two-Point Conversion, and three more upcoming books in the series. She will release her first solo novel in late spring 2023.

Besides being a retired teacher and author, Emerson lives in North Carolina and has been married to the same man for 32 years. She is the mother of three beautiful adults, one of whom is proudly part of the LGBTQ Community and completely responsible for her addiction to MM Romance. Even though the kids no longer live at home, they filled the empty nest with an Australian Shepherd, three cats, and a cute bunny rabbit.

It seems I've been in a mini-Book slump a few days now and this book was just perfect to get me out of it.

I love the pacing of the book & how it had some action parts to it. This book was just so freaking cute, and I love John and Brent together. It was very insta-love ish but I didn't kind at all. The banter between them was really good. Brent no give a fcks attitude was perfect when it came to John's serious(ish) personality.

I love how John just wanted to love on Brent. He was so down bad for Brent & I loved it. Overall this was a good read & I would definitely read more from these authors.

Let me introduce you to Brent "Dreamboat" Trainor. An amazing sweet (my words not his) sexy brat who’s afraid to commit!!

Dreamboat has reasons to stay single for the rest of his life, only ’one and done’ was what he wanted.
Getting to know these reasons was darn hurtful.

After a hot night with Commander John Langdon in Vegas, both can’t get the other out of their heads.

John has feelings for Brent, but there was never a time to tell.
Five years later John joins the EHM security team, which Brent is also part of.

John wants to talk to Brent about Vegas, only Brent is fast enough to tell John he won’t have to worry about Brent getting feelings, they can just be fvck buddy’s. Only, John refuses!

We all know by now, Brent ‘Dreamboat’ doesn’t do feelings. My heart, cracked a bit.

John is one big solid warmhearted guy, a caregiver, he knows what he wants, he wants Dreamboat, and goes for it.
He has to convince the man he deserves love and attention, he’s not going anywhere, he’s here to stay. If only Brent let him!

My freaking goodness I loved the course of this read. Both men got what they deserved, each other!!
Not right away, noooo, first there are some matters to overcome.
Gosh, what a wonderful story, the writing was flawless, it’s all so emotional and super intense!

A winner!

It's no secret that I'm completely in love with the Package Deal/Portland Protectors universe: I adored every characters of it, every story and every HEA. And now we've come to an end.
Brent was such a surprise! Behind his easygoing and laidback personality, there's a whole world of hurt I didn't expect. And John, being the wonderful man he is, is just the right person for Brent to finally find happiness.
The epilogues made me cry, I'm not even ashamed of it, they're perfect for them.
I strongly hope this will not the last time we'll see these amazing men, and I can't wait for the next series to start.

I absolutely loved this book from page one. I was so addicted to this book I had to be told to quit reading so that I didn't stay up all night and not get any sleep.

Dreamboat is such an amazing character, and the way he evolves as the story progresses is absolutely beautiful to watch. Commander is loveable from page one. He is just so sweet and comforting.

I love how characters from previous books make appearances in the book. Also, the relationship between Austin and Dreamy is fun to read. They are hilarious together.
I do recommend reading the series together, but it can definitely be read as a standalone.

The story developed so well on the page, and the author just did an exceptional job of telling the story and writing the characters.

There is plenty of steam and plenty of emotional parts, but also so much laughter while reading it. The ending is amazing, just like the rest of the book.

Commander is just what Dreamboat needs and visa versa. Healing from the hurt of Dreamboats' past is something he has struggled with, but with commanders help hr can't get through it all.

10/10, I 100% recommend this book because it is just that good. I am sad to see this series end, but I can't wait to see what comes next. I have loved everything Emerson has written and can't wait to see these guys again, hopefully, in future series.

I eagerly anticipated Dreamy's story, and it exceeded my expectations. This series has cemented its place as one of my favorites, with the authors consistently delivering exceptional tales.

In previous books, we met Brent, aka Dreamboat, a self-proclaimed commitment-phobe who fled relationships. However, his attraction to Commander proved irresistible. Commander, famously linked to an unforgettable Vegas encounter and an oil-slicked unicorn dildo incident, harbours deeper feelings towards Dreamboat.

I admired how Commander openly adored Dreamy, recognizing his emotions and patiently waiting. Their love story was beautifully balanced with sweet and spicy moments. The subtle stalker plot kept me engaged, and Commander's possessiveness added depth.

Dreamy's journey was remarkable, as he discovered a sense of family among his friends, particularly Dare and the others, after his real family's betrayal. Their unwavering support and brotherhood left me impressed.

The HEA was breathtakingly beautiful, with an expertly crafted epilogue. I appreciated the well-integrated side characters and their poignant scenes.

Overall, this book was outstanding, and I highly recommend the series and exploring the authors' other works.

I have loved every single book in this series so far and this one has NOT disappointed!

Absolutely stunning read and I wont lie, I got a little emotional towards the end (and, just like Brent, I do NOT do emotions people 😂) but there was just something about Brent & John that completely blew me away and I think they're one of my favourite couples that I've read for a very long time.

It has absolutely everything in this. I laughed, I filled up, I ooh'd and aah'd and I wanted to throttle Brent so many times (in a nice way!!) but what a ride these 2 gave me.

Absolutely loved it, LOVE IT!!

Thank you, Emerson, Rheland & @nishasbooksandcoffeepr for my eARC.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Dreamboat is Book 4 in the Portland Protectors–EHM Security Series. Though it can be read as a standalone, I would actually start with The Quarterback Keeper, book 1 in the Package Deal series.

The Dreamboat starts NYE in Las Vegas 🔥🔥🔥 and ends with a 10 years later chapter 💚💚💚. I was hooked from the very beginning and unlike some MM Romance their was more than just the romance that kept me hooked. Dreamboat and The Commander were 🔥🔥🔥 together, but there was so much more than that between them. I was rooting for their HEA. The added dimension of the protector needing a protector got my love a solving things activated and I wasn't disappointed.

I also adore snippets of characters from other books, making cameos throughout and the 10 years later chapter was everything my epilogue loving heart desires. OK, tiny lie, my epilogue loving heart always wants more 😜

Things I 💚
💚 Age Gap
💚 Running from Love
💚 The protector needs a protector
💚 Accidentally Married
💚 No 3rd Act Break Up

I am a huge fan of Emerson’s and Rheland’s Package Deal/Portland Protectors universe! I have been looking forward to Brent’s and John’s story and it did not disappoint.

I loved Brent and John together! Brent has a lot of scars under his easy going/flirty persona. John could easily see behind his mask he put up, and never let Brent push him away which eventually earned his trust. I think this is a perfect example of how opposites can really work and balance each other. With Brent, John laughed and relaxed more and was able to not be so serious all the time. John showed Brent that he could be more serious and vulnerable with him, and he wouldn’t hurt him. The growth and healing that Brent experiences with John being there by his side to always care and support him was so heartwarming to experience. The way that John defended Brent to Brent’s mom and put her in her place was 🔥🔥🔥.

What I adore most about this series as well as the Package Deal series is the found family aspect of these stories. “The Dreamboat,” hit this out of the park! Brent sees all his friends building their own families. Brent was so used to being on his own, taking care of himself, and being the protector, he didn’t see how he was just as much part of their families. He discovers that he has a true family, even if that family is a chosen family, and the bonds he has with his brothers that he served with are unbreakable. I specifically loved Dreamy’s and Dare’s friendship – who know “asshole” could be said with such fondness? Lol.

This story will make you swoon, laugh, and shed a few tears! The letter that Brent gets from his dad really got me – so many tears! As always, the epilogue like the others in this universe were so beautiful, sweet, and full of unconditional love.

This can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend starting the Package Deal series to get the full experience.

After reading the other books in this series, I can say that without a doubt, Dreamboat is my favorite. Prior to this book, I thought of Dreamboat as a fun and flirty side character that brought levity to the brotherhood of the badass Navy Seals/Portland Protectors. Yes, Dreamboat is fun and flirty but there is so much more depth to him that comes to the surface once the Commander comes into his life.

Brent, aka Dreamboat, is the devilishly handsome man that will flirt with everyone and anyone. He knows that he is good looking and charming and uses those skills to his advantage. As he is bisexual, both men and women are immune to his charm. He is a Protector at his core and loves his brothers (the other Navy Seals) more than anything. We come to learn that under his charm is a grieving and abandoned boy just wanting someone to stick around, choose him, and love him. Enter John Langdon, aka the Commander.

The Commander is smitten when initially meeting Dreamboat but keeps it under wraps until they meet again on New Years Eve in Vegas. The two men hookup and then go their separate ways until months later when the Commander accepts a position with EHM Security. They become roommates which eventually evolves into more. John’s unwavering support and compassion grounds Dreamboat in reality (not his trauma) and allows him to explore vulnerabilities and possibilities that he thought were meant for him. The nurturing and protective nature of the Commander is exactly what Dreamboat needs to feel safe and secure in a relationship.

The respect, admiration, love, and protection these two have for each other is unmatched and unwavering. The Commander standing up for Dreamboat…swoon. This is a story of love and healing and a reminder that everyone deserves love and that we can choose our family. The chosen family/found family vibes continue throughout this story, just like the previous books. It even includes those from the Package Deal Series. I absolutely love all the cameos from past books and how they are all connected and supportive of one another.

"I thought you hated the Commander. But here you are, naked and oiled up like some kind of Turkish Oil wrestling competitor."

I had to start my review with this quote because it was one of the scenes I was dying to get the background on in Daredevil's book! I mean, it was hilarious from either POV to be honest. Dreamboat aka Brent, definitely likes to have his fun. I think that's a good thing though. Even when his antics are sometimes wild, John never tries to dull his sparkle. For much of the book, John can be found just smiling at his man while Brent says and does whatever he thinks up next! It went a long way to convincing Brent that he wasn't going to be scaring his Commander away that easily.

"I love you, and I need you to get used to hearing that."

A lot of this story revolved around Brent's issues with his family. After his younger brother died as a child, his parents basically checked out of his life. His mother was especially horrid, and I am very happy there was some recognition of that by others by the end of the book. Brent needed to see that he had people in his corner. He was so focused on the loss of his biological family, that he just could not see what a huge chosen family he was a part of. When the light bulb finally clicked, it was quite the emotional moment for Brent AND me as a reader.

John was so sweet to Brent. He definitely owns those Daddy caretaker vibes. No, this isn't a Daddy kink book, just to be clear in case that description threw you off. But John freely admits that taking care of Brent makes him happy, even though Brent has a hard time accepting it. I really did love them together. And the epilogue!! OMG I will miss this crew so much! I'm sad to say goodbye, but the little sneak of the next book and the promise for more cameos make me super excited to see where these authors take us next!!!

And they want him dead. Now this protector needs a protector. And he happens to be the one man he can't forget. The one he hooked up with a few months ago in Vegas. The one who sees him for who and what he is and still seems to want him. And that’s scarier than any enemy he's ever faced.

I loved this story as the Dreamboat finally met his match and got his HEA. I loved all of the emotions and feelings covered in this story. I also enjoyed catching up with all of the other couples in this series. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

I'm sad that this book closes out two chapters - the Portland Protectors and the Package Deal world, but what a way to go!

I absolutely adored getting to finally peel back the layers or Dreamboat's world and find out what made him tick... and of course the Commander was definitely a Daddy type protector and just so much fun to read... now there was one big problem... these authors made me cry... not just one tissue cry - ugly cry... so be warned... it's not all sunshine and roses, but the tears were necessary and made the ending so much sweeter!

I can't wait to see where Emerson's spin off takes us - we've been promised Package Deal World cameos - so stay tuned for my next review!

I loved this book! It's a short, quick read with lots of love and laughter.

Dreamboat and Commander have a steamy night in Vegas that Commander can't forget and Dreamboat only remembers part of it the spicy parts.

Can Commander convince Dreamboat that they should be together? Maybe but Dreamboat has lots of insecurities, thinks he should handle things alone and wants to protect those he loves. Dreamboat's family trauma has left him feeling guilty and unlovable.

Commander needs to show him that he is loved and he doesn't have to handle things on his own.

It's wonderful story, emotional and super intense! Found family, age gap!

This book was amazing. You can finally peel the layers back to find the real dreamboat! Dreamboat and commander are just the ultimate couple. Commander knows just how to peel back the layers and get to see the real man. It truly was a book that made you smile gave you the warm and fuzzies and made you cry. Yes I said cry. It was that kind of book! I'm so glad dreamboat finally got his hea. He more than deserves happiness once you find out why he's the joker class clown at the party. It's a heartwarming read and every time commander calls him sweetheart you just melt!

I've jumped around this series and not on purpose, starting with the first and now to this installment. This one is just as good as the beginning and with he cast of supporting characters added in the middle I now know I have some great reading to catch up on.

This starts put like a one night stand but turns into anything but. The connection between Dreamboat and The Commander are electric. What really sells it is Dreamboats family background, the authors do a marvelous job of painting how their dismissal of his existence controls other aspects of his life.

Highly recommend.

Dreamboats and the Commander are here! Dreamboat definitely has a fear of commitment but that doesn’t get in the way of the Commander and his feelings for Dreamy! He for sure knows has got it bad for Dreamy!!! This book has it all and you will definitely go on an emotional roller-coaster ride in the best ways.

This is another good addition to this connected universe. I am so glad that we got Dreamboat's story and that he found his happily ever after with the Commander. I also appreciated that he finally understood who his real family was all along.

John and Brent, I had to use their real names in my review because that is who we really get to know and fall in love with during this story. Brent was so more than his outward carefree and flirty personality. Not giving anything away here! John commanded honesty and real emotions from Brent which made him absolutely perfect for him.

I loved how the Commander was completely smitten over Brent the entire time while Brent tried to hide his feelings of not wanting to be attached to anyone and was fine moving from person to person until the Commander locked that sh*t down quick LOL.

These two were always meant to be and you can't convince me otherwise

Brent (Dreamboat) & John (the Commander)

Really fun story, I loved Brent’s easy going nature when finding out what happened in Vegas. He thought nothing of the ramifications because he knew he’d never fall into a trap of love. John was just so confident that he could win Brent, Brent never had a chance. Really enjoyed this one.

The Dreamboat is the fourth book in the Portland Protectors EHM Security series and can be read as a standalone but so much better in order. This is an age gap, hurt/comfort, accidental marriage book about Brent and John, best thing is there is no 3rd act breakup.
