This book is absolute trash in terms of character development, plot, dialogues, writing and everything in between. 😌🚮 And when I say it's trash, I'm being deliberately tactful.

First of all, congratulate me on acquiring the first safewordS of my life.

From now on, I'll use words good/so good/all right only when someone crosses my boundaries in the most offensive way. Now they are forever associated in my mind with something a chick who hired a bald (I get traumatized all over again when I remember the heroine patting his bald, glistening head when he was inside her 🌚) male prostitute would say during their each and every sexual encounter.

Are there, maybe, other more creative ways to show how good a man who gets paid for sex carries out his job? No?

— 🥲. Okay.

On a serious note, I'm willing to pay for the physical copy of the English language dictionary for this author since she obviously finds it challenging to diversify her lexicon when it comes to describing almost any basic scene and her characters' ingenious thoughts.

Which reminds me that 99% of the book revolved around sex. 🌚

Actually it's no exaggeration to say that the whole story consisted of lame sex scenes between the heroine and the gigolo whom she had hired to fuck her 😌 stuffed to the gills with lousy
GOOD... SO GOOD...OH MY GOD (from the heroine)...IF YOU WANT...ARE YOU ALRIGHT? (from the hero) .

SHE'S FUCKING ALL RIGHT, IT'S HER WHO HIRED YOU, BESTIE. MAYBE STOP WASTING MY TIME, YOU ANNOYING LITTLE SHIT, AND GET DOWN TO BUSINESS, HUH? I don't have all the time in the world.

Literally every chapter corresponded to a separate fuck fest in a hotel room with the most boring and unoriginal hooker, wearing his dull suit and carrying an equally dull bag of lube, condoms and CDs 😏😏 (the man was smarter than he seemed, why bother arousing your client when erotic films could deal with the problem just fine), in the history of mankind.

How many pages can one dedicate to showing (or was it... telling) how good, so good, oh my god (SHUT THE FUCK UP ALREADY, WILL YOU) exclusively hotel orientated hookups with a prostitute are??

The author's one and only task amounted to making the aforementioned scenes so hot that no bitch out there noticed the lack of plot or basic coherence. Instead, all she managed to achieve was to forever ruin a harmless, innocent G-word by playing it on repeat? These characters acted like damn robots. Predictable little shits.

You can witness live how my extensive English vocabulary is slowly leaving my body as it's being subjected to basic books like this. 🤡

'D-’ for creativity and eloquence, Ms. Kent.

Speaking of which.
Inexplicably for me, the word "pussy" gave way to awkward "groin, heat and arousal" in this story.

No way, guys, what a lying bitch face I was to have accused the author of constant repetition.
😼 is absolutely irrelevant, and she came up with a solution! Good job. Well done. Keep it up.

Now, lemme make a u-turn and change our exciting talk about pussies to more urgent matters like, for instance, the hero's sob story that I, sad as it might sound, couldn't sympathize with. 😔

Putting aside my cynism for a minute, I fully realize the implications of having daddy issues at the tender age of 32. A truly tragic case. *cries looking off in the distance with a cigar between her fingers*

Authors who make their heroes sweet and caring:

Me (looking at the heroes in question):

Anyway, 2 stars for Ander (H) who kept milking the heroine for money even after having fallen irrevocably in love with her. Business acumen in action, and we love to see it.

When he got offended by the heroine's suggestion to buy them both an ice cream on the trip that she had paid entirely for, I —. 💖

Sweetie, I'm not hinting at anything, but you had already kinda bled the woman dry, drop the act.

What propelled me to read a book with a blurb like that will forever remain a mystery for a poor shred of sanity residing in my brain.

HUGE 5+ STARS

This book captivated, intrigued, and enamored me in a way few stories have. I LOVED IT!

There are some books that will be forever imprinted on one's heart. For me, Escorted is such a book. In fact, I loved this story so much that once I was finished, I instantly started it again. I wanted to experience the full knowledge of the plot and to try and catch all the subtle nuances I originally missed. And let me tell you, it was even better the second time!

What I expected to be nothing more than a clichéd and run-of-the mill erotica about an escort and his client falling in love turned out to far surpass my expectations. The characterization was exceptional and the plot realistic, deep, and very believable. I appreciated how the reality of this type of relationship was portrayed. The author did an excellent job of taking the reader on this couple's journey from a VERY unromantic and sterile relationship to a passionate and romantic love affair.

My only real complaint about this book was the over abundance of sex at the beginning of the story. It was overkill. Other than that, I adored everything about this book.

There hasn't been another book with this premise that I loved since Damaged Goods (Please do not compare this book to Damaged Goods. It's nothing like it. I can't stress that enough!). In fact, because of this story's realism, I may actually love it more. If you're looking for a plot driven, thought provoking, and erotically sexy read, give this book a try. I highly recommend it.

4.5 stars.****The final 30 % are stellar!

 photo tumblr_mb4ygvSY7w1rhjmpho1_500_zpsfa54552a.gif

With all the erotica in popular culture now, many women have unrealistic expectations about what sex should be like. So when their actual experiences don't match with the fictional fantasies, they think something's wrong with them. But the reality is it doesn't happen magically, and a lot of men don't know how to please a woman's body--even if they genuinely want to.

Let's get this out of the way. Escorted is nothing like Damaged Goods. While Damaged Goods is more romantic, Escorted is definitely more realistic. As it was I loved the book as a whole and I especially loved Ander. Ander is such a gentleman, quiet and reserved. A man with true class! Granted, the beginning is filled with plenty of sex and it felt very sober and kinda detached and yet I loved the story nonetheless. You have to be patient and attentive because there are emotions even though they are not obvious to the eye. Also, the novel definitely ended very romantic.

Like Lori said "I don't have any unrealistic expectations. No romanticizing or anything."

I have to repeat myself. Don't go into this story with unrealistic expectations. Ander and Lori have an agreement. She pays and in exchange she gets sex. They talk a lot and Ander explains everything thoroughly. After all, he is meticulous as well as assiduous in his commitment to his job, and safe sex is very important. Ander wants to ensure that his prospective clients know what they can expect from him. After everything is settled they proceed to have sex on a regular basis.

He'd never looked at her like this when they'd had sex before.
It wasn't just hot, hungry, or needy. It was tender and possessive both. Like she was everything to him--everything he'd ever wanted.

 photo Bildschirmfoto2013-02-23um190728_zpsf9e926be.png

"But you want me to come because you still feel second-best. I won't support this feelings. Ever. Go by yourself. And prove that having a man doesn't equal success.

It was beautiful to witness how their arrangement evolved from a first and rather somber experience of intercourse to f@@@ing and then finally they did end up making love. Granted, it was a long process yet very worthwhile. I was glad that I did invest my time to see them progress over

Ander swallowed hard. "I knew I felt for you in a way I'd never felt for anyone before. Sex had never meant anything to me--except for business--before you. I've never had sex with any feeling. Never had sex without a condom before today. Not once in all my life. And you were awakening emotions I'd never experienced. I wanted to be with you, please you, protect you, take care of you. I don't know if it was love back then, but I didn't know what else to call it."

 photo tumblr_meco8nVRWp1r9ouy2o1_500_zps253cf8d4.gif

Also, I loved that both of them took a very healthy step back when Lori It was similar to the saying "He who will reap must sow." Their relationship grew from a tiny seed to a blossoming flower of love, and when they were emotionally on mutual ground they made love.

He was smiling now. A new smile. One that was dangerous, almost predatory. It prompted a shudder of excitement along her spine and took her breath away. She clutched her last pillow, gripping it desperately as she resisted Ander's attempts to pull it out of her hands.
"It is unquestionably foolish to begin a battle when you don't know the full strength of your adversary," Ander murmured.

I loved their pillow fight. Ander had such a tender look on his face and I really, really thought…yes, they are going to kiss for the first time now. They did not. *pouts*

 photo tumblr_mevpid9laV1r08xlao1_500_zpsd47213fe.gif

He wasn't just finding pleasure or escape in her body. He was finding something lost in himself.

While the sex was rather clinical in the beginning, the more I read the more I enjoyed their erotic encounters. The sex after the pillow fight or the scene in the elevator were excellent and their 'real' love making was beautiful. What I found so well done was the build-up of their chemistry. As you can imagine there was none at all when they met for the first time. If anything, it was a little bit awkward due to Lori's inexperience and insecurities. On the other hand, I have to say that Ander handled her and the whole deflowering story very well. In fact, he acted sure and steady He tried to make her feel less nervous and he was understanding but at the same time he acted professional.

It was his job to act like a romantic escort. Ander was a good actor but with Lori he did not need to play an act.

 photo tumblr_mhzbkdYXwb1qkulzco1_500_zpsff4a4bed.gif

Ander took a breath and moistened his lips. Then he admitted in a raspy voice,

"Ander, just tell me the truth. Why do you keep stalling?" He swallowed so hard she saw it in his throat. But this time he didn't evade the answer. "I do want to. Desperately. I'm just…I'm just terrified."
(…) Why are you terrified of making love to me?"
"Because that's what it would be." Ander swallowed again. Looked horribly uncomfortable. But he managed to force out, "I've never done it before."

 photo tumblr_md2xnp5m4n1qj73e2o1_500_zps49196aac.gif

What didn't work for me
I think that the discord between Ander and his father could have been explored better. Also, I really don't know if it's realistic that a very successful twenty-six year old romance author is able to write hot sex scenes even though she's still a virgin. Lori claimed it's no big deal.
The term "sopping wet" is not one of my favorites and to be honest, I could have done with less sex in the beginning of the story. And last but not least Escorted could have benefitted from better editing.

While Ander taught Lori how to have great sex and how to ice skate, she taught him how to laugh and how to express emotion. And they taught each other how to value themselves.

"I will tell you to stop. I'll tell you to stop every time I hear you say something that implies you're not valuing yourself. You might as well get used to it. Because it's the only way we'll be together."

 photo tumblr_lvk2m8Ftn11qervbxo1_500_zps4b500b00.gif

It's love.

Overall Escorted is a well-written story. It's fresh and different. Thousands of readers are swooning over domineering billionaire heroes who are into BDSM and have commitment issues. I ask you to give Escorted a chance. Who knows? Maybe you're going to swoon over Ander.

It's time for round 3!

3.5 stars. I may round up to a 4 upon further reflection, but I'm still struggling with some of the execution at the moment.

*note* Spoiler tags are safe to click on and are only in place for the game.

So the story begins...

A 26 year old author-slash-virgin decides that she's tired of being inexperienced and wants to hand in her V card. Should she -

Give it up to a trusted, long-time friend? :
Give it up to a casual date/fling? :
Give it up to a man who will force her to pay for it? :

Her first time was not what she expected. Do you think she got it -

Sweet and Loving? :
Rough and Exciting? :
Awkward and Embarrassing? :
"What should I do with my arms?"
(here's where I imagined a flailing octopus)

Side note : I am happy to have never had this conversation in my life -
"Are you ready for intercourse?"
"Yeah. Please."

Lori and Ander both have secrets to hide. In the interest of not spoiling the book, I won't tell you these secrets. So instead, I'll press on toward meaningless content.

Several repetitive behaviors happened. There were slanted looks, twitches galore, plenty of urbane & sensual smiles, and lots of grunting and huffing. As well, we were treated to many mentions of the clinging channels and the always lovely term of rutting. Can you handle this?

If your answer is - sure, no problem :
If your answer is - I guess so? :
If your answer is - you've got to be kidding me. I'd be asking for my money back.
Ander's mouth twitched again. So did Lori's.
OH NOZE! IT'S CONTAGIOUS!

So we got through the awkward times. All I can tell you from here on out is that the sex does eventually get better. I can't tell you if there's a happy-ever-after or not because I don't want to spoil the book for you. Stay tuned to see if I would recommend Escorted.

Thank you for playing!

Final Thoughts : This story was a study in human behavior. Although I had a hard time getting into the mood because everything started off so matter-of-fact and there was NOTHING sexy to be found up-front, I found that in time I grew to appreciate the slow build to heat between these characters. What started off with me rolling my eyes and feeling sort of embarrassed for both of these people, eventually led to me feeling a few warm fuzzies and even a couple of moments where the sex did come across as enticing. Believe me, it took a while to get to that point, but when it finally got there, I felt like I was okay with the way things progressed.

If the second half of the book hadn't progressed from the initial awkwardness, I would have rated this pretty low. For the most part, I understood what the author was trying to get across. At times, the message felt sort of lost in translation, but I feel like being in the mood to cut a little slack. I've had a lot of clunker books come my way recently, and even with the bad terminology...this wasn't necessarily a bad book.

I liked the biting. I liked a couple of funny scenes (the shoulder tap one was priceless). I didn't like how Ander had to be told to come.
You come now.

Why was the word 'can' or 'may' omitted from that sentence every time? YOU. YOU COME NOW! Doesn't that sound ridiculous?

There were a few genuinely sweet moments. I think many of us could relate to being with someone who is hurting and "wishing our touch had the power to heal." I did get teary eyed for about a second when Ander told Lori what she'd taught him. When you read that scene, it will probably make you aww too.

If you can handle a strange beginning, can deal with a 26 year old virgin who never had a shot with anyone because she was hung up on one person for years upon years (this was so weird to me), and promise not to laugh too hard when you come across the phrase smart about art (go go rhyme time?), then you'll probably grow to love this couple and all of their ups and downs. I ended up really enjoying the story when it was all said and done.

4 Letting Loose Stars ⭐

Lori may be in the business of writing about love and passion, yet it doesn’t mean it comes from experience. At 26, she realises that she’s wasted some of her best years pining after a guy she’ll never have. So, she’s chosen the unorthodox method of ridding herself of her virginity by hiring an escort.

What starts as one session to do the deed, becomes a regular occurrence at the masterful hands of Ander. Although technically a journey of sexual awakening for Lori, Ander also finds himself invested. It has him questioning whether there is a possible future for them together.

She swallowed hard. "Pretty smug about your skills, aren’t you?"

He made a brief choked sound, as if he’d smothered a surprised laugh. "I guess we’ll have to wait and see whether I’m smug or simply realistic."

Escorted was wonderfully written forcing you to feel mixed emotions of awkwardness, arousal and empathy for two people who find themselves in this situation. A girl adamant about keeping their sessions platonic and a man struggling to maintain professionalism. Yet as their sessions progressed, so did their awareness and boy did it get hotter and hotter...

"I mean I was...was like an animal." She blushed as she thought about her shamelessness. "I hope I didn’t scratch you too much."

"You didn’t." One corner of his mouth quirked up. "I think the animal suits you well."

Virginal woman hires male prostitute to get rid of her virginity. This is a VERY COMMON erotica trope. It also seems to be popular to make the woman have a position of sexual knowledge: she works writing a sex column, she works as a romance novelist, etc. etc. Here Lori is a romance novelist and 26-year-old virgin. Ander is a male prostitute who hates his rich father.

I don't have an opening quote for this. Also, I'm going to do this review a bit backwards. Which means we start out with

HOW'S THE SEX, CARMEN?

In my opinion, the sex was boring. It was not sexually exciting to me at any time or in any way.

Nothing the characters did to each other was objectionable by my standards... but neither was it interesting or sexy.

If you are reading erotica to get off, which is why I read erotica, this is a failure. I couldn't get sexually aroused reading this. It was blah.

This is because Kent is not writing sex in an exciting way (IMO). Not because the situation is inherently unsexy, although I will get into that later.

I DIDN'T LIKE THE MCS

SUBSECTION ONE: THE HEROINE

I found the heroine annoying. Very annoying. I wanted to smack her for most of the novel.

I have no idea how Ander tolerated her, much less fell in love with her. What was there to fall in love with?!!!?!? I suppose the BEST thing you could say about her was that she treated Ander as a human being and not like a piece of meat. But that's it. Otherwise she was generally annoying, pretty dumb, very nosy with no respect for Ander's privacy, and grating. She drove me up a fucking wall.

Kent seemed to believe Lori was a charming and sweet character. She was not. I don't like reading romance books where I just CANNOT understand why the hero is falling in love with the heroine. It makes no sense. I was scratching my head the entire time Kent was trying to convince me Ander was crazy about this woman. Why? Why would Ander be crazy about this woman? I HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA. She sounded like a nightmare to me, tbh.

SUBSECTION TWO: THE HERO

This tale is only told from Lori's POV. Which is kind of unique. But it doesn't give me a grasp of what is going on inside Ander's mind.

But let me just say, from what I see of him through Lori's eyes, he was annoying me. He annoyed me in bed, he annoyed me out of bed. He was just fucking annoying.

For one thing, he fucking brings porn videos to Lori and they watch them for literally hours. So, she's hired him for a five hour session, let's say this costs $1,500. Are you telling me he's charging $300 an hour to sit on the couch and watch fucking porn with her!?!?!?!!??!!?!? JFC. I'm not fucking paying you $300 to show me porn. She can watch porn on her own! Why the fuck is that worth $300 an hour?!?!!? And he says this is what he's doing to get her turned on. FUCK THAT SHIT. Can we please get her turned on the old-fashioned way? Isn't that what she's FUCKING PAYING YOU FOR?!?!!?!?!?! Put your hands on her. Say sweet things to her. Have a lovely makeout session, I don't give a fuck, just don't charge her $300 to watch porn. JFC.

SIDESTEP: THE WHOLE PROSTITUTE THING

I have to say, personally, that this whole prostitute scenario is not sexy to me. The idea of a man having sex with me BECAUSE I'M GIVING HIM MONEY is just sad. It's not sexy to me. It's not romantic to me. It's fucking depressing.

It's depressing not only because I think sex work is soul-crushing for most people and also a lot of people get into it at too young of an age or out of desperation or due to sexual slavery... Don't @ me, bro. I know tons of people want to argue with me about this, but that's my take.

Forgetting this depressing aspect of it - let's pretend people ONLY get into sex-for-cash because they LOVE sex and selling themselves gives them joy-joy feelings. Let's pretend we live in a utopia where people would ONLY become prostitutes because they love every second and it's their true calling. This is complete bullshit, but let's pretend.

She's PAYING someone to have sex with her. She's PAYING someone to be nice to her and tell her she's pretty and act like she turns them on physically.

That's sad. Not because she's desperate (honestly, tons of men would fuck her and wouldn't make her pay), but because - I personally believe - sex should be because two people want to do it. I PERSONALLY would prefer for it to be romantic and involve love and feelings, snuggles and caring. But even if two people are fucking because they want to fuck, that's fine. You're attracted to someone you meet at the laundromat, you take them home. You fuck. You are attracted to them - not because one of them needs to pay rent this week so they accept money for oral sex. That's just depressing to me on a lot of levels.

One, the person who has to put on this big pretend about liking the jill/john, pretending the acts they are doing on the jill/john turn them on, pretending they are attracted to the jill/john. Not being able to be themselves, having to be polite, having to obey the jill/john to a certain extent, having to put up with the jill /john's baggage. For money. Emotional labor taken to the EXTREME.

Two, the jill/john herself. She's PAYING someone to fuck her. I don't find this sexy or romantic. It does not play into any of my romantic or sexual fantasies. I just don't get it. I would not want a man to be with me because I paid him. That makes me feel the opposite of sexually aroused. It makes me sexually depressed.

It has nothing to do with looking down on the sex worker - people have to do what they have to do to make a living. I certainly understand the burdens and hardships of emotional labor. Sex work just takes it to the extreme.

And it has nothing to do with me "pitying" a "poor virgin" who wants to lose her virginity. I understand that. She sees her virginity as a burden to get rid of. Okay.

Instead, it has to do with the fact that someone is paying someone else to fuck them or to fake romantic/sexual interest in them. This is the fact that makes me depressed. Depressed for the prostitute and depressed for the john/jill.

Just doesn't seem happy or sexy to me in any way. And that's throwing out (as most romantic eroticas do) the subproblems of sexual slavery, what age they got into The Life, and other stuff that's considered really not romantic and sexy and is always glossed over in these glamorized portrayals of sex work where every prostitute loves his/her job and loves having sex with whoever is paying them to.

Where was I?

Oh, yeah, the fucking annoying hero.

He was definitely annoying me with the sex. First there was the porn thing. Then the way he took her virginity and acted with her in bed I found highly annoying and frustrating. He's kind of bossy. I get it - he's supposed to be teaching her basically from scratch, but he just keeps telling her to breathe all the time.

The sex is awkward and boring, and even though they have tons and tons of sex in the book, the sex never gets exciting or not awkward. I'm afraid these two simply have no chemistry and are awkward together.

I find a lot of female virgin/male prostitute erotica has this problem. Awkward, non-sexy sex. I know it's not just me and my lack of interest in having sex with a prostitute, because books CAN write this in a more sexy way, like Skye Warren's Escort. But many books that focus on this trope suffer for it. It would be awkward to do this, and books that don't shy away from that are more realistic... but also not helping anyone who is reading them for erotica purposes get turned-on.

OK, BUT WHAT ABOUT THE GOOD, CARMEN?

Okay, now that we've discussed that

a.) the sex is awkward and boring. For the entire book.

b.) The heroine is fucking annoying and I can't for the life of me figure out what on earth the hero sees in her. And

c.) The hero is also fucking annoying and if I met him in real life he'd drive me up a fucking wall,

let's discuss what Kent actually does well in this novel.

One, it's free. There's that. Bad sign when I bring that up. But still: the price is right.

Two, Kent wasn't making me DNF. Even though both of the characters were annoying and the sex was boring, I was kind of interested in where Kent was going with this. Was Ander in love with Lori? Could Lori be any stupider? Was Ander ever going to make a facial expression? Was there going to be a big showdown with Ander's father?

I have to give Kent props for making this book semi-realistic. The sex would be awkward. Lori and Ander would face a lot of problems due to his work. Getting romantically involved with a prostitute is a bad, bad idea for A LOT of reasons.

TL;DR Not sexy. It's not a scenario I find sexy, and added onto that is Kent's sex scenes which do NOTHING for me. Both the hero and heroine were incredibly annoying. I didn't like either of them, which just made the book that much worse.

I was able to finish the book. It wasn't exasperating me. I didn't want to light it on fire. It wasn't making me froth at the mouth.

If you want female-virgin-hires-male-prostitute erotica, you can do better than this. Maybe try Escort by Skye Warren or if I find any other decent ones I'll update this.

It's free, so if you really want to give it a try, go for it.

I prefer prostitute stories where someone gets the other person out of The Life, and not ones where they hire a prostitute and then they and the prostitute 'fall in love.' Or, alternatively, I prefer books about strippers if we are having to have a male or female who is in a sell-your-body profession.
For instance, A Private Gentleman by Heidi Cullinan or Wound Up by Kelli Ireland.

Glass *Boss with the Whip* says... "I like!" ;)

First time I read blurb for Escorted, I didn't think it would be worth reading. Honestly, I thought it was dumb but, boy, how wrong I was. I am sorry, Claire, I was judgemental bitch.

You probably wonder how is it possible that 26 years old woman - hot, pretty woman - could be a virgin. Well, it's quite possible. I have few friends with similar...problem. I'm not saying there's something wrong with waiting that long, everyone decides what to do with their body. But, Lori is one of those believable characters - she's not acting like some naive girl (as the virgins are usually portrayed in this type of novels). On the other hand, you have this gorgeous man - Ander - who is looking all prim and proper. Silent, composed and always in control of situation. One thing I couldn't quite understand was fact that he has no hair. At all. I don't like bald heads. I need my man with hair. Something I can pull... You know?;) But I can deal with it if he looks like that guy from Bruno Banani Dangerous Man add.

Storyline? Let's make it nice and simple - lot and lot and lot of sex. He is male escort after all, what would you expect? I like? Very much!!! Extra points? It's not pornographic - hot as hell, but not pornographic. It felt real somehow - I can't explain it. You have to read the book to understand. Other than that, there's this Pretty Woman vibe. I love that movie. If you're fan too, you could easily like Escorted as well. Just to tease you a little, continue to read!!!

"Do you want me to keep my clothes on this evening?" Ander stood, dark and looming, beside the bed.
Since she felt braver today, she replied, "Oh. No. I guess not. You can take them off."
Ander started unbuttoning his shirt. His motion was slow, almost mesmerizing, as he gradually revealed his bare chest beneath. When he’d untucked the skirt, he let it slide with unhurried ease to the floor. His chest was toned and masculine. She could see the clean contours of muscle development on his abdomen and shoulders, even in the dim light of the room.
He slid his belt out of the loops. He moved naturally, not ostentatiously, but Lori suddenly realized he was giving her a little show."

***

"Without warning, Ander was right behind her, on top of her, just at her back. Before she knew what it meant, she felt his teeth on her skin as he bit down on the dip of her shoulder."

***

"Ander arched his neck forward again, lowering his mouth once more to the crook of her neck. She cried out loudly when she felt his teeth bite down into her flesh. Then his whole body pulsed and jerked as he came with an extended guttural sound."

So, I like biting - trust me, it's lesser than two evils when it comes to my kinks! You will love it too after you read Escorted - especially scene involving this last quote.

This book is an oldie but a goodie.

I ran across Escorted many, many moons ago. I remember being so captivated with the storyline that I couldn't put it down. If my memory serves me right, I believe that I binged this one. Just like I binged it on this read-through too.

Lori is done. The twenty-six year old virgin, that ironically is a romance author, is tired of holding on to her V card. She decides to take matters into her own hands and hire a highly-recommended male escort. She wasn't expecting Ander to make a long-lasting impression on her. So what was supposed to be a one time thing turned routine love fest. Now that she knows all the pleasure he can bring, she can't give him up. But Lori knows there are other women that feel the exact same way...

This book is just so intimate and enjoyable. Lori and Ander are pretty much the only characters in this book. Because they met privately for so long, there wasn't much opportunity to introduce a lot of characters. But I loved that we, the readers, weren't bombarded with all the extras. It made the book more intimate. It made me feel the excitement and nerves Lori endured when meeting up with Ander. It made me feel the heartache and confusion of their odd relationship. I loved being able to see their relationship develop into something more than a business transaction.

I will always hold this book near and dear to my heart. Some stories just stick with a person and this one is one I will carry with me forever.

Oooo this read is deliciously difficult to rate and review. It pushed some of my safety/trope boundaries, but I knew that going in, so I can't much fault the book. But I was really curious to see how one of my favorite authors, Claire Kent, handled it, and I was overall actually fairly pleased.

But I do know this can be a polarizing read for some, especially for those sensitive to the MMC being involved in any way with OW after meeting the FMC, which is the case here, as this is involved with the MMC's profession. More on this later.

The FMC, 26-year-old Lori, may have a career as a popular romance author, but there's one step in her own personal romance journey she has yet to conquer: having sex for the first time. After some encouragement, Lori makes an appointment with male escort Ander, hoping to make her first time as good as possible, and hopefully learn some things about herself and the experience along the way. And the experience is good... so good, in fact, that Lori makes another appointment. And another. And another. And another...

Before long, the line between client and employee begins to blur for them both. Lori knows her developing feelings can lead no where good, knows there can be no future between her and Ander... right? He hides so much of himself behind a molded exterior, Lori almost never knows what's real or what's fake, until they begin to push their relationship beyond just physical, beyond just sex, and pesky emotions start to get involved.

This book is mostly sex, but it's not erotica, if that makes sense? The amount of sex in this book actually makes sense for the plot, and each scene never became old or boring, because we would always also get emotional reveals or backstory hints that made every interaction worth it. The spice was sexy, but also fairly vanilla. There was talk of kinks and boundaries, but they were never pushed too far. There was actually a surprisingly emotional aspect to it all, including with the spice.

The MMC's profession as a male escort was definitely a point of contention at times in the MC's relationship, especially when the FMC realized she was falling in love/in love with the MMC. Ander can't change his past, and Lori knows this and doesn't judge, but it was an understandable response of jealousy that felt real, and led to a mature communication between the MCs.

Ander's activities as a male escort are implied but never explicitly shown or written on page, aside from one instance of Lori running into him during one of his engagements (a date), while she's on a date of her own. The OW related content is more so in the implied history of Ander's profession, overall. .

I really wish Lori and Ander communicated more during the early and middle parts of the story, as well as they maturely communicated toward the end when they were rebuilding their relationship from the foundation up. There was a lot that could've been said earlier on, or revealed earlier, that not only would've made the romance all the better, it also would've lowered the page count and made this a tighter, more cohesive narrative overall. I particularly wish Ander could've been more upfront about things, because he would've seen that Lori was receptive, and vice versa. It was a lot of running around the elephant in the room, and delaying the obvious.

However I still love you Ander, you sexy, bald man.

I understand if some of the implied OW content with Ander being a male escort gives some readers some pause like it did I, but I really thought that all the content was handled with care and delicacy, and think it may be worth a chance to experience the underlying sweet and beautiful story about two people finding each other in an unorthodox way, but producing an extraordinary love from it.

(If you're on the fence or curious about reading but want to know more about some of the trope/safety content, please feel free to ask!)

Claire Kent you're insane for this🩷

Yeah... this was not in the same league as some of my favorite male gigolo stories such as:

Damaged Goods by Lauren Gallagher Fallen from Grace by Laura Leone Curio (Curio, #1) by Cara McKenna The Fifth Favor by Shelby Reed

I was intrigued enough by Ander to want to find out what his story was and that is pretty much why I read the book straight through.

What I could not stomach was the overuse of the term channel and passage in the numerous sex scenes. Oh for the love of all things erotic, just use the term "pussy." And... if I am going to be paying top dollar to the best male escort, he better not be using a nasty piece of plastic (dental dam) when he goes down on me...yuck!

The fact that Lori was a 26 year virgin and did not know how to give a BJ considering she is an award winning romance novelist.... (hmm, I sure wouldn't be buying one of her books) was another thorn in my side.

So, it was not a bad read, and it was a freebie, but I would recommend spending a few bucks and read the above mentioned books.

Just my opinion, folks!

'Lori Addison. Six months ago she'd been a virgin, and now she was crazy about her gigolo.'

●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●

When I first started the book, I wasn't sure what to expect. Lori was a virgin but she wasn't the typical naïve virgin with absolutely no clue. Being a romance author, she knows what sex involves but writing about it in books is one thing. The perfect steamy sex scnes from books aren't exactly how things happen in real life. So she doesn't really know how to go about it or how to please a man. The sex between them was very instructional at first, which is what you'd expect, there was no feeling to it, just two people having sex. But for some reason, it was little odd to read, maybe because I am so use to reading books that are off the bat super passionate. This book has a realistic element that took a while for me to get into. By the time I finished, I appreciated it. I loved the pace in which everything went. There was no insta-love here, but a gradual development of love. It was really sweet to read. I liked Lori for the most part, but she did often speak without thinking first and seemed to offend Ander in one way or another. She was really nosy as well, and would try to pry into Ander's life so she could get to know him better. Ander may not have liked it, but it resulted in a friendship to form between them. They seemed eager to see each other again, and really happy when the day of their engagement had finally arrived. The sex slowly started to be less about learning and more about discovering a passion between them.

●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●

Ander was a professional escort that knew how to play the part well. He was elegant, charming, and sexual. But he was also very patient and respectful of his clients. He knows how to please them. I really liked Ander from the very beginning, he never made Lori feel odd or awkward for still being a virgin. He made her feel sexy and comfortable. I loved that about him, but like Lori, I found myself wondering if it was all part of his escort act. I was curious about him and who he really was. From the few things we get, you realize he actually doesn't think he is worth much. Just an object to please women. It was a little difficult to under Ander at times and I desperately wanted his POV, which we didn't get in this book. I really would have loved it. Soon, you start to see him change and realize that he might be feeling something for Lori as well, more than just a friendship. He did little things that gave you clues about his feelings but Lori never saw or was to scared to acknowledge them. Meanwhile, I had a strong feeling that that was the case. Ander was an interesting character that I wanted to know more of.

●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●

He'd never looked at her like this when they'd had sex before.

It wasn't just hot, hungry, or needy. It was tender and possessive both. Like she was everything to him--everything he'd ever wanted.

●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●

Like I previously said, the first sex scenes was about Lori learning how her body and to please it. Even though it the sex instructional at first, it didn't make it any less hot. It was actually really was. Ander was brilliant in helping Lori's sensuality come out. He was absolutely skilled. The things he did to arouse her were super hot. Ander had me under his spell and panting for him. I loved learning more about him, because then he made me swoon. There was so much more to him than just being an escort. He was hurt from his past that had to do with his father. I really wished there was more said about that relationship, but we only got what seemed like a few glimpses. I wanted more about Ander and his life. I just plainly wanted to know him completely. I like Lori and Ander together. They really worked and it was very much enjoyable to read. The sex between them became really sweet , steamy and just beautiful. I really loved it.

"So beautiful. So sweet. I always want you so much."

●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●

The book was really well written but there were still a few things I felt that it needed. Overall, it was a really good romantic read. It was definitely interesting and of course über smoking hot. I liked that these characters were mature, so we didn't need to deal with anyone getting too whiney about things. I loved the slow and steady way in which the relationship developed. It made it a whole lot believable that way. The ending was really sweet and I was happy things worked out for them. I wasn't sure how I would feel about this book after I was a few chapters in, but I am glad to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. I recommend this read to anyone who wants a good romantic escort story.

First off, I gotta say. The 'ole "teach me how to fuck" trope is honestly one of my all time favorites. It brings about so much exploration and excitement, I'm a total sucker for it. And that's exactly what you get with this book. Lori decides to hire a male escort to take her virginity and teach her how to get hot and heavy under the sheets. Ander accepts her proposition and soon they find themselves meeting pretty regularly for "lessons" that slowly cross that client-gigolo line.

The first... I don't know, lets say 80% of this book was pure SEX. Scene after scene after scene of sex. It started extremely clinical, which was sort of interesting. Ander was a total professional, and many of their trysts in the first month or so were not meant to be swoony. They were hot, yeah. But Lori always passed him some cash money at the end of the day and they kept it polite and to the point.

As they slowly start to fall for each other, you can't help but feel for both of them. They're not exactly in the right positions to change the nature of their relationship with a snap of the fingers. The author does a really beautiful job of writing about how the two of them work through their issues, both separately and together. This book was kind of touching, and they deserved their rewards after putting up such a good fight for their relationship.

I have two issues about this book that are hard to overlook. The simple one is that, even though the vast majority of this book was sex, I didn't feel very turned on by connected to it. It felt a bit out of reach to me, and I'm not even sure what I mean by that. But it segues into my second issue. Ander was such a closed off character that I think it would have helped as a reader to get a bit of his POV. The entire book is through Lori's eyes, which is usually fine. But he was so ridiculously stoic and hard to read that it kept me from loving him as much as Lori eventually does.

He actually... well, this is a bit personal. But he actually reminded me a lot of the type of man it took me years to realize was not good for me. I fell hard for men just like Ander when I was younger. I mean, none of them were prostitutes. But this guy reminded me specifically of two different exes I had that were not good partners. So perhaps my hesitation with this book is just extremely self-involved. I did really like it. It was sexy, angsty in all the good ways, and very sweet. I would have liked to know more about what Ander was thinking, but I guess that's what us ladies are always saying, huh?

"I'm just a gigolo......"

I flipping loved, loved, loved this book. I got it as an Amazon freebie, ratings were mixed, a friend texted me she knew I'd love it- SHE WAS RIGHT.

On the surface, it kinda sounds cheesy. Professional romance author/virgin hires hot gigolo to take away her virginity she can't seem to lose. They get together, sparks fly....blah blah. This book was a fantastic ride of emotions. It was more than a fluffy read. I loved this guy. His name was Ander (short for Alexander) and he's the son of an arrogant wealthy CEO in town. When Ander decides he doesn't want to go down the same career path as Daddy-O, he's disinherited. Ander starts escorting...which really pisses Dad off. Deep down, Ander has overwhelming feelings of worthlessness, never has fell in love....just goes through the motions.....until Lori hires him. She's as awkward and nervous as all get out on their first "date.". He's as patient as can be and nurtures her gradually into a fulfilling sexual relationship. One hot night turns to weekly appointments.

What I loved about this book was the more realistic nature of it. It wasn't some "instant love" stuff. Ander held back for most of the book. I didn't even really know his true feelings. We just kept getting glimpses of something growing with him. Lori's feelings grow almost immediately, he is the one who took her virginity, after all. The sex in this book is almost constant. Usually that bores me to tears but its within "their story" and how it evolves to more than sex.....

All I can say is I loved it. It was steamy but SO ROMANTIC. It's a slow build and even after things get out in the open between them, it's pretty realistic how things play out longer term. I liked that. It's like "hey, this could almost happen." There was chemistry, humor, drama....everything to make it a five star read.

At the risk of comparing books, if you read Damaged Goods (another escort book) and you liked it, you will love this one ( in my biased opinion).

Really liked it. Got it as a freebie and as with a lot of my freebies I sometimes NEVER read them but this sounded interesting and a few GR friends had read it and had just finished a really good book so had no idea what to start next. Good writing, good storyline, good characters. Lots of sex - well he is a male escort and she does hire him to lose her virginity. Glad I got it free but even if I had paid money for it - it would have been worth it.

I was looking for a book that would just make me forget about my everyday stress and that would allow me to get lost in it. 'Escorted' is exactly what I was looking for and it's once again a book that I found for free on amazon for my kindle!
I finished reading this book in less than a day and would've probably still finished it last night if I hadn't had to get up at 6 this morning :D
I originally started reading "escorted" because I was really interested in the story of a virgin and an escort falling in love, i just felt like reading something like that yesterday and i have to say that it's a really nice and well written book. The sex scenes aren't too vulgar or feature any "crazy" stuff, so it's a really enjoyable new adult read and definitely deserves 4 out of 5 stars! :)

Incredible!!! Absolutely LOVED this book. Thank you to Kristina for introducing me to this author!!!

Lori (26, virgin, romance author) is ready to lose her V card. She has plenty of confidence in herself professionally, but personally, not so much. Her cousin has heard of a very professional, discrete escort so Lori reaches out to him. Ander (33, not a virgin) turned a one time experience into a thriving business of selling his body. He always keeps himself cool and professional and he's extremely good at his job. He knows almost immediately that his "sessions" with Lori are different from anyone else he's been with. As they spend more time together, they both realize the lines between a business arrangement and personal one are blurring . These two eventually work things out and you get a HEA.

One of the things I loved about this, besides the hot sex, was that it never felt tawdry. Their relationship felt very organic and genuine. Even though there was a lot of sex - I don't feel like I can put it in my "smut" category, simply because it was written so well that it didn't feel cheap and fake. There was even a time when I literally had a huge smile on my face while reading a playful moment between them. Like, I was smiling as if I were the one experiencing it.

If I had to complain, Lori giggled way too damn much. You know I hate when women giggle. Plus, Ander if bald. It's not my fave - but that's obvi just a personal preference.

I didn't skim a single word. I'm really excited to read more from this author!!

Quick synopsis - Lori is a very successful erotic romance writer but still a virgin in her early twenties and decides to hire a 'male escort' to do the job for her - enter stage left, our gigolo, Ander.

So, as expected, there's an awful lot of sex in this one but it felt like it was seriously lacking in passion to me. Of course, Ander has been hired to do the job and he acts with supreme professionalism and gets the job done but that's exactly how it feels. It kind of feels clinical. Ander is polite, has a false urbane smile and, as he takes Lori through her paces, this is possibly the unsexiest sex I think I have ever read. He even uses a 'dental dam' to go down on her - ugh!

I'm guessing that this lack of passion was intended by the author to allow the story and the characters to develop so we can see the comparisons by the end of the novel but I very nearly put it down. As a reader, I need to feel the character's passion and this is what was lacking for me.

Ander is a bit of a cold fish with his bald head and the way he was described as 'mouthing' Lori all the time - I had the image of a sucker fish in my head and it just wouldn't go away!

We do eventually get to learn a lot more about Ander and his past and the reasons behind his career decisions and it is eventually a beautiful love story but I think I'd already decided that I didn't really like Ander by this point and could never fully re-engage with him.

This book is very favourably reviewed by other reviewers and I think I'm a lone voice here so I'm still going to recommend to my friends and followers that you give this one a go. It's a Kindle Freebie right now after all.

It all started with my GR friend Catherine, who almost NEVER steers me wrong, who said "You gotta grab this."

The other thing was that it was free yesterday on Amazon. (If those aren't also magic words, I don't know what are.)

So I was a good little girl and I grabbed it, and I inhaled it all today, and now I'm going to tell all of you: YOU GOTTA GRAB THIS. :)

It's pretty steamy, it has a relatable heroine, the Hero (of course) is super hot and who wouldn't like a fairy tale like this: you want to get rid of your pesky virginity, so you hire a hot guy to do the deed. He teaches you everything you need to know about sex, he's gorgeous, he's smart, he's funny, and he falls in love with you. What's not to like?

The writing here is good enough that it didn't bother me that a romance writer didn't have any sexual experience (I know, that's actually a groaner) or that hearing about Lori's channel got a little bit old after a while. So what!? There is no head-hopping here; everything we know about Ander we find out the same time Lori does. You don't see that too often in romances anymore, it was refreshing. It faltered a bit towards the end, where I felt as though the author had a finite number of pages and was running out of room to tell her story. Not a huge niggle, though, I was strapped in and along for the ride throughout.

If you're looking for a steamy, feel-good Pretty Woman in reverse, this will do the trick quite nicely. It's going on my favourites shelf.

I like to call this book my guilty pleasure crack book. I say that for this reason: I really liked this book. I like Ander and there are moments where I got all melty and swooned. I pretty much read this book in one sitting, as I could not put it down. The story is a really good one, and liked the journey the hero and heroine go on. But but but…the heroine annoyed me. The hero’s lips twitched almost 50 times in this book (yes I kindle searched). The heroine “snickers” a ridiculous amount. The hero “jerks his head sideways” on more than one occasion while having sex. All of these things kind of annoyed me, but at the same time, I liked this book so much I pushed that all aside and just went with the flow.

Quick set up – Ander is a high-end male escort, who has many clients. Lori, a 26 year old romance novelist hires him to take her virginity. Let me say, their first sex scene or two is very clinical and I almost though I wouldn’t like this book. It’s probably suppose to come off as clinical as Lori asks a lot of questions and Ander has to guide her through everything. Their passion does come though – just give it time. I actually loved how it builds throughout the book.

I think the strength of this book comes with how their romance develops. How it goes from a paid sexual session, to true love. The author does a nice job convincing me of their love and they have great chemistry. Also have to note the hero and his daddy issues are well done too. It helps his vulnerable side come out, a side I very much liked to see.

This book was extremely hot, but the story seemed forced at times, I found Lori a little annoying and Ander acted like a robot 80% of the book. The 3 stars are for the hotness level. I didn't care much for the characters.

My version of Ander:
 photo 3123d700-3958-4287-a0a9-67b891cc24e4_zps5b9662bd.jpg

The tension wasn’t just arousal. Wasn’t lust or impatience. It was emotion.

I’m a fan Gigolo Heroes so I figured I’d give this one a shot. Often times, these books are predictable, steamy and full of emotion: All of which are just fine by me. Sometimes it’s just what the doctor ordered. How could a story featuring a hot sex god falling for the innocent woman not be good? Okay, maybe things can go wrong, but luckily this wasn’t one of them. It was far from a perfect story and it could’ve used a extra something, but I still enjoyed it nonetheless.

“You taught me how to have sex, how to have an orgasm, how to use my trusty vibrator, how to get myself off, how to use dozens of sexual positions, how to give a blow job, and how to ice skate.” ~ Lori

Lori is a famous romance novelist looking to finally get rid of V-card. The reasoning behind why she remained one is believable enough, but still…twenty-six! Wow. Since it has taken her this long to lose it, every time she gets close to a man, her anxiety kicks in and pretty much ruins the chances of getting intimate. She’s so sick and tired of having this problem that she just wants to freaking lose it already! So her solution…hire a male escort. Enter Ander.

“You taught me how to be with someone genuinely, how to enjoy sex, how to express emotion, how to value myself, how to feel, how to love, how to trust. How to live. You’re never going to win this game.” ~ Ander

Ander has been a long time male escort and very good at this job. When he meets Lori, something about her innocence intrigues him. He was very patient with Lori during her first time, but at the same time came off a little too clinical for me. It was almost like a “How To” guide to lose your V-card safely and effectively. Don’t get me wrong it was still hot.

So finally, Lori loses “it.” So what now? She’s still self conscious about her abilities so her only solution is to continue to hire Ander…you know, to practice. (Hey, if you have the means and money, why not?!) However, the more encounters Ander and Lori have, they do start to develop a sort of friendship. Their road to a relationship is a very slow one and doesn’t happen overnight.

The story contained a whole lot of sexy, steamy scenes, but I enjoyed the times where Lori and Ander were making another type of connection. I loved Ander. He tried to remain professional with Lori, but it was refreshing to see him starting to break out of that shell and show her the real him. This was a pretty quick read and after I got over that whole dental dam fiasco (don’t ask, I’m naïve…had to Google that one), I actually did enjoy this.

”You taught me how to have sex, how to have an orgasm, how to use my trusty vibrator, how to get myself off, how to use dozens of sexual positions, how to give a blowjob and how to ice skate.”

This is a book that grows on you, when I first picked it up, I was more curious than anything not really knowing what to expect, I had my doubts in the beginning, the sex was too clinical, she was just so naïve and Ander was almost too nice (*roll eyes* I know me and my obsession with alpha males) but as they changed so did my view on their story and I was totally into it.
”The Virgin and the Gigolo.”

Lori, twenty-six year old virgin ”bestselling romance novelist,” has zero experience with the opposite sex, the most she’s done is kiss a guy and even that was nothing to rave about. She’s tired of having her virginity and wants to get rid of it, but wants to make sure she has a good time, so she decided to hire a professional. Ander, short for “Alexander”, is a thirty-four year old Gigolo; he is a successful business man, relying on word of mouth for referrals. He has a lot of satisfied customers and is in high demand.
”May I push up your top?"

”You're welcome to touch me if you want. Just please don't scratch my head."

They are two people who knew the odds, who have low self-esteem and self-worth, but together they learn. Over the months, they build a casual routine through their engagements; she sees the real Ander hidden under the cool façade and knows nothing serious can come out of it.
”I’m not a fool. I like him. And I like the sex. And I pay him for his services. I’m not pretending it’s anything romantic. That’s just not how we are together. It’s professional.”

It’s all professional until Lori realized she is feeling things she shouldn’t, to make things right she knew she couldn’t be Ander’s client anymore.
”I know things have been not quite right between us, but you mean a lot to me. And I’d like … I’d like to be friends.”

The story totally took on a different feel after that, they became real to me, no longer living in a fantasy holed away in their hotel room. It was cute, different, interesting and definitely HOT, I guess you can think of it like ”Pretty Woman or The Wedding Date”.

DNF 88%.... I just don't want to read it anymore. I did not connect at all to this story- it felt very sterile and, well, boring.
Sorry :(

Escorted by Claire Kent was initially free on Kindle. The moment I read the blurb about a twenty-something virgin romance author who pays a male escort to take her virginity and introduce her to the joys of sex, I downloaded the book. Escorted is one sexy book I recommend any romance reader try. If you’re a fan of Cara McKenna’s Curio, you’ll love Escorted. Ander, the male escort and eventual love interest for the virgin heroine is one character you’ll swoon over.

A romance author who’s never had sex? Seems unlikely, and for some implausible, but in Lori Addison’s case, she is. Lori is somewhat socially awkward, especially when it comes to men. Her friend, Sabrina tells Lori about Ander, a high end male escort who has a great reputation of pleasing the ladies both in bed and as a date or whatever else they’re willing to pay him for. Lori throws caution to the wind and hires Ander. They meet in a hotel room for their first rendezvous. Ander is well spoken, a snazzy dresser and pretty handsome, as well as being bald. Can we say hot bald hottie gigolo for the win? Lori is very turned on by Ander’s baldness. Ander also has a way of calming Lori down and soon she’s willing to be intimate with him. Ander doesn’t have intercourse with Lori right away. He introduces her to oral sex (He’s the giver, she the receiver) and then Lori has her first orgasm. But after that first successful attempt Lori is open to more and Ander becomes her tutor and teacher, introducing her to passion and sex, but as long as she’s willing to pay for it.

Soon Lori is seeing more and Ander. He suddenly has more free time and Lori makes more appointments to be with him. They begin to talk more and learn about one another. Lori finds out about Ander’s very rocky relationship with his father and why he turned to prostitution. Lori is honest with Ander in what she wants for herself sexually. Most importantly she doesn’t want Ander to distance himself from her when they’re intimate. Because of this, they become close, and the lines each other has drawn are broken down where both want more than just a business transaction.

Escorted reminded me of the movie, Pretty Woman mainly because of the type of relationship Lori and Ander have. Ander is a tough nut to crack but Lori is able to reach inside of him and find out who her paid lover truly is behind his polite demeanor. These two really mesh well together, and as they continue their business arrangement, their sexual interactions become more intense and emotional. Lori wants more of Ander but is afraid he’ll break things off with her. What Lori doesn’t know is that Ander is willing to bend the rules he’s created when it comes to his clients because he thinks she’s special.

I found Lori’s reactions and reasoning very believable, and the first few times with Ander didn’t come across uncomfortable at all. Ander is a true gentleman. Claire makes a good case on why he’s chosen this seedy profession and why it’s hard for him to give it up. The sex scenes that eventually become love scenes for me as a reader and are steamy and highly erotic. Through sexual interaction you can see how Lori and Ander fall for one another.

One of my favorite things from Ander was toward the end when he really loses himself win Lori when they make love. He says a phrase over and over that’s so adorable and will make any reader awww. The last few chapters really show how far Ander and Lori have come with one another and a very believable path to their HEA.

Claire Kent is one author of erotic romance to keep your eye on and Escorted a recommended read.

I really really enjoyed this book. I have to admit, I was a tad surprised. I've read a couple of "male escort" books, and I had a hard time getting past the "eww" factor.

I think the thing that I loved the most about this one was Lori. This was certainly a big shocker for me, because its extremely rare that a heroine will "make" a book for me, though they can certainly "break it". I loved how she approached the whole thing in the beginning. Wanting to keep it "real" and not play out a fantasy, while at the same time, not treating Ander like an object.

The sex in the beginning of the book is not sexy - and honesty, I was grateful. For once, there wasn't this instant attraction that just overpower all rational thought, and normal reaction. It was clinical and awkward, and made me squirm (and not in a good way). I loved that their relationship actually developed over time. I was impressed at how closely the heat of their physical relationship pointed you to how their emotional relationship was developing.

I loved that there wasn't unnecessary drama. There was certainly conflict, but there was nothing "extra" to dilute the true issues at a hand. I loved how sweet and vulnerable Ander was, and I loved that Lori always tried to handle him with care. It was a wonderful love story. The only thing that would have made it better was if we had gotten Anders's POV sometimes.

I can count on one hand the books that were so good that when I finished it, I wanted to go back to the beginning and read it all over again. This is one of those books.

Wow, she’s really flinging those back handed compliments.

She’s got a point. Why would someone pay him to get a blowjob?

I giggled when she did the hand thing on his shoulder. And than his favorite romance writer gave it a nice double identity for both. Like Batman.

I’ve waited a long time for a book with a good sex teacher and Ander ticked every box and ones I never imagined. I love when he tells her she’s about to come, that he knows her body better than she does.

I think she has the wrong impression when he offered that she could book ahead. I’m sure he does want the money but he doesn’t seem to lack for clients. I think there’s attraction and he’s interested in more than her pocketbook.

Well hell, the engagement after the museum gala was a hard pill to swallow. I think all of the emotions they bottled up just burst out of me.

It’s obviously significant that he keeps marking her.

Oh gawd! The pillow assault... I can’t stop grinning. Could they be any cuter? (And yes, I said that in my head like Chandler from Friends.)

I don’t understand her self consciousness at this point but I loved the way he handled it. And then when she told him to get to the good parts and he said. “I can’t. All your good parts are covered by the towel.” ... dead!

And when she finally let the towel go? Well damn ... wasn’t that pivotal?

Oh? Is it not rather telling that your weekend trip was vastly different from his other client? Come on now. If you’re not gonna read more into the retirement deal, at least read more into that.

“You’ve taught me how to research fans,” my ass!

She hurt Ander and now she must suffer. 🥺😩

I mean goddam, way to kick when he’s down. And than she asked if he needed to be paid. Someone please Bitch slap her!

Oh shocker! He cut back all of his clients but you?

It kind of stresses me out that we don’t get his POV. My only relief is knowing he narrates the following novella.

It’s pretty delightful you get to read all about the beginning and the delicious sex. And then you get like a second chance feel with them being together in a whole new way. This author gave you all the cake and let you eat it too, god bless her.

Fascinating how he can have so much experience but when they start really being together you see him unsure. It’s heartwarming how almost childlike he is in discovering how different it is with someone you truly want, maybe love.

The epilogue couldn’t be better. I love how raw and real and full of overwhelming emotions. And omfg the envelopes... I literally broke down and sobbed.

Yes Claire Kent! You have a full fledged fan in me!

I originally read this six years ago. I couldn't remember much except that I loved it. It was just like reading if for the first time. The following is my review for this reread - never wrote one for original read.

**********

Oh my! What an unusual, delicious read! I’ve never read a book with this premise before and I wasn’t sure how I would react to it. I shouldn’t have worried at all. This was an incredible story with characters that came alive on the page!

5 sex zones men love to explore in a woman's body | The Times of India

Although this consists of a lot of smexy times, those times are just as important, if not more so, than when this couple are not sharing an intimate moment. There was so much character and story development happening at every step of the way and it all felt so very natural.

Sexy Woman Covering Her Body With A Towel Stock Footage, Royalty Free Clip, Hd Video Footage. Footage 99026620

This deals with a rather touchy subject, but I felt like this author did a superb job of presenting, not only this hero, but his employment, in a mature, professional manner. Having it written in such a way made it easier to accept the situation. Even though we don’t have his point of view, it was obvious in his reactions how he was responding to Lori and again, that made it all the sweeter for knowing inside what he was feeling, even if she didn’t.

I loved Ander and all his tender ways. He was definitely the consummate professional. There was a little bit of a twist concerning this near the end. I loved how he was created to have a certain reaction and what that reaction said about him. It’s so hard not to spoil it, but that ending was the icing on an already decadent cake.
