A poor man named Geppetto wants to carve himself a marionette in order to make a living as a puppeteer. He is given a piece of enchanted wood, and as soon as Geppetto carves the puppet, which he names Pinocchio, it begins abusing the old man. Once his feet are made, Pinocchio runs away, and Geppetto is arrested when he seizes the puppet. Pinocchio returns to Geppetto’s home alone, and when the Talking Cricket admonishes him, Pinocchio kills the cricket. Going his own way, and ignoring all advice, Pinocchio soon falls in with a variety of bad characters, particularly the Fox and the Cat, who scheme to steal the five gold pieces Pinocchio was given for Geppetto. Eventually, the Fox and the Cat, disguised as Assassins, hang Pinocchio in order to get the gold pieces.

This book can teach children that their actions have consequences, and they will only be rewarded with good behavior.

This was an interesting twist to the version of Pinocchio that I have heard. In this version of the story, Pinocchio runs away from Geppetto and goes on adventures of his own. Every time Pinocchio lies his nose grows and when he breaks promises something bad happens to him. When Pinocchio finally realizes he shouldn't have ran away from Geppetto, he is reunited with him and ends up happy. This story of a puppet going on an adventure would be a hoot for kids. The story could also teach children that lying is bad and that being out in the real world away from parents is not always easy and fun.

Pinocchio runs away from Gepetto and every time he lies his nose grows. Gepetto goes looking for him after he runs away. At one point Pinocchio gets himself into some trouble and turns into a donkey! He joins a circus and does not like his new life. He soon realizes that Gepetto was doing what he thought was best. Pinocchio goes looking for him and gets eaten by a sea monster. Inside turns out to be Gepetto who was also swallowed when he was looking for Pinocchio. They escape the sea monster together and Pinocchio turns into a real boy. This would a good book to teach that their parents know best and lying is not a good habit to pick up.

This tale is about Pinocchio, a wooden puppet created by the toy maker Geppetto who wanted a child of his own. When Pinocchio was almost finished being painted, he ran away from Geppetto because he wanted to do everything himself. When Geppetto returned, Pinocchio agreed to be good. On his way to school, Pinocchio gets involved in many bad situations. When he finally returns home, he finds that Geppetto had went out looking for him as he was gone for days. For being so bad, Pinocchio turned into a Donkey. Eventually he was reunited with Geppetto and turned into a real boy. This book can teach children that their actions have consequences, and you will only be rewarded with good behavior.

I wasn't really familiar with the Disney version before reading this book, but found this an interesting version of the story. Some of the well-known elements were present: the advice-giving cricket, the growing nose, being swallowed by a large sea animal, and turning into a donkey. The interesting part is how bad Pinocchio is. It is truly a story about greed, lying, and wasting your time, but I'm not sure the consequences correlate very well to most children's experiences. It makes me wonder about the context in which it was originally written. Overall, I think it is a story worth reading and discussing since I'm not aware of other stories that try to deal with those vices. It makes me consider reading the original story, just to get a better idea of the true tone.

This version of Pinocchio was not the best. In it Pinocchio learned the heard way to tell the truth and to listen to his father. He was treated by a fox and a cake, turned into a donkey, and he was ate by a sea monster before he got his happy ending. Overall, this version is very dark and I was not a fan of it.

This book was really cute. It was about a young puppet named Pinocchio. He was a mischievous puppet, and his nose grew longer and longer when he lied. His carver had disappeared, and Pinocchio went out looking for him. They were eventually reunited, and Pinocchio was transformed into a real boy. This story would be really good for a lesson on lying or family.

The story of Gepetto, a woodworker, who had carved himself a puppet named Pinocchio. Pinocchio comes to life, and instead of being a good pupil, he choses to disobey and do whatever he wants. For every lie he tells, his nose gets longer. At last he finds himself trying very hard to go to school and be a better student. However he finds himself taken away from this with the promise of fun. As a result, he is transformed into a donkey and sold to the circus. More and more things happen to Pinocchio. In the end, its Gepettto who comes to rescue him. What will happen to our friends?
Children will love this story with all of its beautiful pictures and cute story.

This book is about a toy maker Gepetto who made a puppet Pinocchio. Once made he came to life and was nothing but mischievous. A blue fairy once told him that if he did not do what he was told and do nothing but fun he would turn into a perfect donkey. One day Pinocchio went missing so Gepetto went looking for him out in the sea. Pinocchio turned to a Donkey because he did not listen and was sold to a circus and then dropped in the ocean to drown because he didn't listen. Then the fish ate him and he turned to a real boy, he then finds their father in a sea creature and they make it home.

This is much different than the Disney's version, this isn't as happy, I haven't really seen the Disney version but I do not remember it being like this. This one the boy continuously runs away and then goes back for his father and he is gone. goes to look for his father and gets swallowed by a monster where he finds his father instead, together they swim out of the monster and live happily. This story is of course about not lying because you can lose people and family out of it and even money or valuable items.

The toymaker ended up catching him and Pinocchio told him that he would start going to school and be a good boy. At school, he found out that every time he lied, his nose grew.

What a fun story. This is a story about a man named, Geppetto, carved a puppet. The puppet Geppetto created was named, Pinocchio. However, when he carved this puppet out, he made him with a very long nose; otherwise he looked like a regular young boy. Great read!

It has been years since I heard the story, watched the movie or read the story of Pinocchio. The story is excellent. Pinocchio magically comes to life and along with Gepetto, his creator/father they learn many lessons about wisdom and how to be a real boy.
