Guns n' Boys needs to be read in order.

--- Home sweet hell. ---

A wedding should be a joyful affair, but it is far from that for Seth Villani. Thrust into an arranged marriage, back under the same roof with serpents and wolves who are his family, Seth has to watch his back if he is to survive until the despised event. Though with his love affair with Domenico Acerbi slipping out of his grasp, and his father forcing blood on his hands, sometimes Seth wishes the dark waves of the sea nearby could swallow him whole.

Coming back home to Italy is full of bitterness and regret for Domenico. He knows he will have to see Seth, the first man who’s found a way to his heart in years, walk down the aisle and marry. Seth belongs with Domenico, and having him ripped out of his arms is an offense he cannot bear. Yet despite the tension between them, and the growing resentment, Domenico still needs to watch Seth’s back, because there’s a target on it, and no matter how much Domenico doesn’t want Seth to marry, he will not have him dead.

BRILLIANT...

LOVED IT...

CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF THESE BOYS...OH GOD,THESE TWO ARE SO HOT TOGETHER...*fanning myself*....

DOM

SETH

This book opens with Dom and Seth back in Italy and Seth is totally stressing about having to marry a women, the daughter of another powerful Italian family.

After the wedding they both go to New York where Dom is waiting for instructions on a 'hit' and the training up of Seth in preparation to be the new Don.

I loved the first book but think I enjoyed this one even more as we see the relationship developing between them.
Dom is more bossy, controlling and dominant than ever but I seriously can't get enough of him....I even found his obsessive jealousy hot!!

Seth certainly knows how to get a reaction out of him and some of the scenes between them were so funny...I especially loved the Nightclub scene and the whole lap dance thing.
And the sex scenes are again totally hot!! These Authors write some of the most erotic M/M scenes.
But along the way you can definitely feel the relationship getting more intense.

They can't escape the Mafia life though and when one of the 'family' pays a visit things take a violent turn.
I loved the ending, especially with Seth eventually deciding to man up.
I've read the blurb for the next one and am really looking forward to it.
Taking a break to read some M/F but I can't stay away for long and will be back to my boys very soon.

Cannot recommended highly enough if you like dark, intense, smoking hot M/M action!!!!

5 HUGE stars!!! This second book is even better than Guns n' Boys: He Is Poison.

Reread: April 2017 - And officially this is my favorite series of all times!!!

It's still difficult to explain in words all the things you feel while reading it. From HOT - to cold as ice! From anger - to so much fear!

Mario Blanco https://www.facebook.com/pages/EXPONLINE/141220162699654?ref=hl:

Seth has to marry the woman his father, the Don, chose. He cringes at the very thought of sleeping with her, as he is gay and never touched a woman in his life, but he is forced to marry her to unite their two powerful mob families.
Domenico seems to accept it easier than Seth, which makes Seth flirt at his own wedding with a man in the staff. Poor man.

The first part of the book got me SO curious to see how Seth and Dom would manage to still have hot and mind-blowing sex. It seemed everything was against them. The Family didn't accept any gay men among them, and the Don would execute his own son if he'd find out Seth was gay. Even if he was now trained to be the future Don.

One of the best things in this book would be the new and VERY jealous DOM. Each and every scene with the two of them is PURE LAVA, but when Dom started to show his jealousy, it took me by surprise and made me love him even more. It was such a different side of him from the man we've met in the first book. And I didn't expect to see him so deep into Seth, pretty soon after the scene with Silvio Spadaro in Guns n' Boys: He Is Poison.

Dom is SO intense, domineering, powerful, and his possessiveness made me all kinds of warm inside. *blushing*

I was a little sad Seth still went to meet Robert, knowing this will make Dom crazy, BUT it needed to happen for Seth to realize Dom is the only one in this world who truly understood him, completely!

I read the last chapters with my heart in my throat!! The action made my blood ran cold and at a particular scene I really had to put down my iPad, because I just couldn't breath.
This happened to me before only once, while reading ICoS by Santino and Ais.
So the last chapters really made me ache! I was trembling and keeping my fingers crossed for Seth and Dom!

The writing style is ADDICTIVE! This story is just BRILLIANT, extremely well written!

I bow before these great authors! They made me stop breathing for a moment, or TEN!

Oh god, it’s becoming more complicated than ever! 😱 And lucky for me because I love my stories full of drama and excitement. 😁

Seth has no idea where he stands with Dom when Dom thought they were exclusive. Needless to say, Dom isn’t the most expert when it comes to expressing his emotions. 😂 Meanwhile, Seth’s wedding is becoming closer and closer and threatening the balance between two lovers like a knife hanging with a bare thread. 😭 And Seth learnt the ugly, raging and dangerous jealousy lurking around his lover’s soul. 😏 Dom isn’t just possessive and jealous of Seth, he’s insanely and ridiculously jealous and possessive of Seth. 😁 The epitome of men going berserk caveman style over their lovers! 🤣👏 And how I love that possessiveness! ❤️ It’s raw, passionate, and oh-so-dangerously-romantic! 😍 And when they were sent to New York city just after Seth’s wedding, our two protagonists thought the doom is not that near as they thought it would be. They could learn more about each other and solidify their relationship while being in a cocoon of their love dream. 😌 Meanwhile, the treachery and the betrayal are boiling up in Italy. 😱 There are people who want to kill not only Seth but also the current Don to grasp that sweet ultimate power. And now it’s Dom’s ultimate decision to choose his one true love or that sweet, absolute power he has always coveted. 😌

Man, talk about the drama. One minute I was happy with how warm and sweet Seth and Dom are and the other, I was crying a bucket load of ugly tears. 😭 K.A. Merikan surely knows how to manipulate and twist their readers’ emotions. ☺️ It seems a bit simpler and slow-paced than the first book in the beginning but wow, the last chapters of the book totally blown me away. 👏 The ultimate sacrifice for your one, true love? Hell, yeah! I brawled like a child! 😭 Yet, it makes me hopeful, optimistic and happy about how far Seth and Dom have come. 😌 Relationships are all about trials and errors and lord knows theirs is one of the most difficult and challenging one. 🙂 I’m excited and thrilled to see Seth in control for a change in third book. And without farther ado, let’s get reading the next book ASAP guys! 😉

Favorite excerpts from the novel: 💗💜💗

“An alpha knows to keep intruders away from his herd.”

“Because as long as he’s alive, you will not be completely mine.”

“He was a virgin, you know,” he whispered, looking up into Angelo’s eyes. “He gave himself to me, and I can’t let him down.”

“Sometimes it takes a while, but finding the right guy for the job is worth the wait.”

“Why?” “You’re the only person I care for here. The only one I can trust. The only one who can actually see who I am.”

“I told you you’re mine, I take care of you. Can’t be more explicit than that.”

He wasn’t proud of that part’s existence, an ugly, lustful longing for a violent man who could protect him as easily as hurt him.

“I love you,” Seth whispered against Dom’s mouth. Shivers were coursing through their bodies as if their nerve endings connected.

“Please! Please,” Seth raised his voice, pushing back, all needy and trembling. “What do you want, sweet cheeks?” whispered Domenico, gradually pushing his finger deeper. “You, you, I want you,” Seth whimpered, stirring his hips. What a lovely euphemism for Dom’s cock.

“You are my only virgin.” Seth grunted, sliding one of his hands over Dom’s forearm, all laid out on the countertop to be devoured. He looked back into Dom’s eyes again, wiggling his hips on the fingers, looking greedy for more. “You’re my only top,” he uttered.

“I’m no longer a virgin though. I’m all dirty now,” Seth said with a little smile, just his top lip curling. He arched his head back on the countertop, lying there like an offering to Dom. “You’re not. You’re my virgin,”

“I own you.” Domenico blinked, looking up to his handsome face in confusion. “What?” “When you come in me, I own a piece of you,” Seth whispered

That was it. Domenico was the king of the world, the most eligible bachelor of the gay underworld, and the future husband of one Seth Villani, who looked at Dom with so much tenderness everyone could see there was no other man for him.

“If I die before that happens, will you visit my grave every now and then?” Seth took a step back, but then punched Dom’s arm with all the force he had. “Do not say that!” “I just want you to know I’d like that.” Domenico cleared his throat and looked out the window, his face blank. “I won’t have anyone holding my hand when I die.”

“Why? You still feel me inside?” Seth bit his lip and started playing with his fingers. “You’re always here, inside.” Seth pointed to his heart, and it was so sweet, Dom hardly recognized the horny beast hidden behind that facade.

“Meeting you was worth losing a finger,”

When Domenico spoke again, his voice was as calm and steady as ever. “I love you. You need to go.”

This really gave me exactly what I wanted from it! Everything I criticized or felt was missing about their relationship in the previous book was resolved here. I couldn’t be happier about that. Domenico finally gave into his feelings for Seth entirely and it was a damn sight to behold! Not only was Dom jealous and possessive as all hell, but he was also super soft and caring towards Seth. He seemed to have accepted that Seth was the most important thing in his life and he refused to ever lose him. I loved it; especially knowing that this was coming from a man so hard, calculated and cold when it came to others, and that Dom’s true feelings for Seth took time to develop into the devotion it is today.
I also really appreciated that some of Dom’s questionable actions towards Seth in the previous book were addressed here and weren’t just shoved under the rug. The fact that Dom felt shame for his past actions gave me more piece of mind and the belief that he would never do something like that to Seth again because he means too much to him now.

Long story short, I adored the relationship dynamic we got to see from them here: all domestic, obsessed and cute together. Yet there is still that toxic and violent side to their love, smoothed out by their gentle touches and cuddles.

5/5 ⭐ The rising of Acerbi!

How drastically the ❛things❜ can change in a short period of time! Now, we replace ❛things❜ term by ❛rating❜ and it's done, because it is what has happened along my reading this series. My previous experience with He Is Poison (Guns n' Boys #1) was not as good as I expected, maybe I was inflatulated by the extraordinary reviews I read that my expectations were quite high, but I'd already K. A Merikan books previously and I was aware of their skills as writers ❥

After reading He Is Mine (Guns n' Boys #2) I've gotten to understand why the previous instalment left me deflated. Firstly, I have to say that my edition dated on 2014📚―it's quite interesting that this tiny detail will be noted, because it's possible that changes between editions exist―and these authors started working on this series in 2007, it is told by them in the foreword ❥ Plus, I discovered at the end of the book that this instalment is still part of the previous one ⚠️, in other words, He Is Poison (Guns n' Boys #1) and He Is Mine (Guns n' Boys #2) work together as ❛the first chapter❜ of Dom and Seth's story. This explains a lot the lack of plot suffered by He Is Poison 🥀 It was all because we did not have the entire ❛first chapter❜ yet! 🚨

◾ Having said all of these, He Is Mine (Guns n' Boys #2) continues Dom and Seth's story where we left it before: on the verge of Seth's arranged marriaged who is surrounded by a pack of wolves as called as ❛Family❜ 🐺 Mainly, his own brother, Vicenzo, who is resented by Don's decision to designate Seth as future ❛Don❜, so at the slight oportunity he has he tries to mock Seth in front of the ❛Family❜ and their allegiances. After the wedding, Dom and Seth's will get stronger until acting as a real couple with wishings of being joined for life ❥, but Dom's jealousy play ❛dirty tricks❜ and they will have to go through ups and downs in their way to stay together. When all seems to be a bed of roses 🌹, issues happen and our boys will have to fight against an insane chain of shotguns, back stabs and unexpected―or maybe not as much as we think― betrayals 🥀 Misguided wolves from the ❛Family❜ are snuffling blood and they're wishing to hunt their prey 🩸

Positives:
✔️ The plot is EVERYTHING I wanted and expected from this series and K. A Merikan, hallelujah! 🥳 Perfectly well balanced between the plot's development and legendary sex scenes *MILD SPOILER* Catholics abstain yourselves from reading the chapel scene, as a holly reminder 😇 *MILD SPOILER*

✔️ Dom is HUMAN 💜 Previously we met Dom as a God of sex, what he utterly, everything has to be said. He Is Mine reveals the real Dom who is hidden behind his unbeatable façade of ruthless attitude and confidence sex appeal, how no to be. Seth is not the only who suffer by the wedding, Dom also carries a lot of suffering and pain inside. His feelings for Seth are increasing and he is not capable of sharing him with nobody. Whilst I was reading I needed a proper reason which explains Dom 's behavior against Seth 😤 Obviously, he is a character who is ❛kinda❜ traumatized by his past. I understood that he was not teached good manners, in fact we're dealing with the mafiosi so I cannot expect he to be Santa Teresa incarnated however Catholic he is 🙏🏻 That's ilogical, tho I have to give Seth all the glory for enduring that kind of treatment.

Speaking of real life: ❝Hello everyone, don't focus on how sexy your boyfriend is, if he treats all of you like ❛shit❜, as far as I am concerned, bye-bye!❞ 👋🏻

Gratefully, we're reading about fictional characters and Dom's goal is developing himself at his best. The latter leads me to speak about the ending of the book―without SPOILERS―, because he shows to everyone, Seth included, how much love he keeps inside. He could give up everything lef for his only ❛Don❜ ❥ There will be imperfections in his traits, but is the way he was built by the authors, and the character development has been perfectly written.

❝We're a match made in heaven [...]❞ 🖤

How can I complain? 🤭

✔️ ❛Villani Family❜ as a mafiosi family  😈  Are we complaining about Vicenzo and Luigi being such an unpleasant characters? They are, and that is their goal which is successfully achieved. Then, no complains allowed, Your Honor. Hating Vincenzo was an easy task  😒 , but I had a bit of hope set on Luigi because he was kinda like a ❛morally gray character❜ 🙄  I cannot say more about these two because it will spoil your read, but I closed my book in total amaze 🤯

✔️ Peter making a starring appearance as ❛Deus Ex Machina❜ and saving the day 💅🏻

Negatives:
❌ The book ends 🥀

If I had to choose a quote which will resume all I've read, it will the next:

❝ [...] it wasn't all a bed of roses, unless one took into account that a bed of roses has thorns❞ 🌹 🥀

This quote is life itself and the essence of Acerbi & Villani's love story, period ❥

Seth followed, holding on to Dom's hand. “He says you seem dangerous. He's not right though. You don't just seem so. You are dangerous.”
Any other person would be insulted, but Domenico grinned at him and closed the door behind them, spinning Seth into his arms again. He was so warm, so inviting. “Not to you though. I'm your protector, aren't I?”

the way i'm just eating up Dom's ott possessiveness. 😩

this is the type of messy and chaotic story i've been in the mood for lately and i'm definitely glad i gave it a chance. i do think this was way better than the first book bc, although i was pretty much entranced with Dom and Seth's dynamic since the previous book, i feel like majority of the first book was more sexual than anything (which i'm aware this series is pretty much that, but i've also heard it's more than just something sexual between them later on so let me hope in peace 😭) but, for this book in particular... i kinda felt the change of tone in the story?? it had more drama, tension, jealousy, insecurities and possessiveness and i like how Dom and Seth being in this secret relationship brings a suspenseful feel to the story. it's also interesting how their rare, soft moments already have a huge effect on me, but it hits every single time. 🥹

Tender and soul baring beginning, with a lot of sexy and funny times in the middle and a thrilling last third

When you are up for a sexy read but end up in love with the story and the characters is when you know for sure, your hookup has become a long term boyfriend. Because I was expecting a wild ride in a dark night and out of nowhere I got myself engaged, with a big stone in my finger looking around and asking myself what the hell had happened to me and my casual fling.
Yes, I was in for some filth (some is an understatement), a lot of laughs (I got those. I always laugh with these duo even in the darkest moments or probably because of them) and dirty mouthed boys doing obscenities (oh, the dirty deeds... *blushing* ...how dirty they were)and I was more than ready for that, I signed for that, but here I got much more of what I signed for. Romanticism, tenderness, two rough guys opening up to each other, two men facing the sharks the best way they can without being eaten, and two hearts belonging together.

In this book, we get to know, to really know, one amazing character: Domenico Acerbi. He is sex with legs and that’s the only thing we saw in him in Guns n' Boys: He Is Poison Nothing wrong with that, the sexy, hot and bossy Dom is fantastic BUT in Guns n' Boys: He Is Mine we have HIM, the real man, the feelings, the past, the possessive as hell guy.
Domenico... my poor assassin, my cocky old soul lover of ballroom dances and Marlon Brando movies, my effective hitman... you are so capable of love and caring *sighs* I never doubted you had in you all this romanticism and I was always sure you could fill a bed with red roses and deliver your message. Your cute and dirty message.

And Seth? Seth is a so much needed character. His position as weak is vital and incredibly well done. This story is nothing without a man like Seth Villani: Dom’s God of chaos, a fish out of the water, who’s not ready for the world of evilness he has to live in. Fortunately he has Domenico to row their boat, surf the waves and save him for a sure drowning death. But ironically, Dom needs Seth too. And not just to light his darkness or be the modern breeze to Dom’s old tastes. Seth is not just the wimpy guy the story needs, he has an ace up his sleeve and that is his love for Domenico Acerbi. He is driven by it and his usual and apparent feebleness can change the instant his lover is threatened. Because my friends, love is a powerful weapon and that’s what moves Seth Villani courage.

The strength in this story (aside the very well written sex scenes) is the consecutive use of Discordant situations, a lot of lovely incongruities that make this book what it is: a precious dark comedy telling a brutal love story:

- A man smelling daises in a meadow full of men with loaded and aimed guns.
- A couple of mafiosos dancing a waltz hidden in a dark barn.
- A gay guy marrying a woman when his heart and ring are in his male lover.
- A bizarre honeymoon with homemade lemon cupcakes but without the wife.
- A strange couple of mobsters (well, a mobster and Seth) fighting like violent teenagers, but holding bloody hands when they have to.

You know how my friend Rosalinda KRASNORADA has named herself after Voinov’s Ruskkie character Vadim Krasnorada? Well don’t be surprised if from now on I go by Vir *ACERBI*. Who needs to be sane and mature? Not me, that’s for sure. I already have my RL to be a responsible adult.

Highly recommend read for your dark and filthy inner passenger!

If you ask me what was the plot of this book? my answer would be: I have no idea. So do what I did, turn off your brain. Put aside the plot. And read for the mcs, their relationship and smut. I did that, and it turned out great!!
The mcs are back together alone like at 50% so yeah, you have to wait but the drama and jealousy? the silly fights? I WAS EATING THAT.
Domenico being jealous was the hilarious. For example, Seth wants to go out to see his friend (he slept with him lon ago) to get his jacket back and Dom reacts like this:

Domenico’s face reddened as if it was going to burst, and he stepped forward, pushing at Seth’s chest like the embodiment of fury. “You will not see him. I’d rather cuff you to the radiator!”

He also cut off the ear of a guy who touched Seth.
Lovely, right?🥰🥴

I have my niggles but I turned my brain off. 🤷‍♀️ Buuuut Domenico can be very aggressive, and something happened here or rather, HE DID something here that left me 😬. So if you don't like violence, walk away. 🚶‍♀️

Things get interesting in the finale chapters and omg, onto the next one!

"Dom had thrown away the only life he knew to be with Seth, and Seth would make sure Dom never regretted this decision."

At the end of He is Poison, I felt that while they had established loyalty and that feelings had started to blossom between them, nothing was solid. Their foundation was still shaky, and I'm not going to lie; the first 50% confirmed that. I needed these two to get on the same page because I wanted to slap them both. The LACK of communication was insane. Seth did not want to listen, really listen to Dom, and Dom jumped the gun so fast that his mind went to the worst possible case every time Seth opened his mouth.

Dom's jealousy was insane. I have seen very few characters with that kind of level of jealousy. It was wild because despite his words (the constant reference to sluts) and his calm, controlled outer appearance, you have this wild, passionate, at times irrational and emotional man. I loved seeing that contrast. However, in a way, when someone like Dom loves you as deeply, willing to do anything, to defy the family he always wanted a place in, with the top at his fingertips…I shouldn't be so surprised by how deep his jealousy and possessiveness ran. Don't get me wrong, Seth had his own issues and for some reason, could not take one minute to think why Dom would act in a certain way (especially when some of his actions were not helping the situation). Dom has some major internalized homophobia as well which is so funny because come on, do you not see yourself? I also liked how we got a peek into Dom's past and childhood

I also loved how tender and sweet Dom was towards Seth. His love for Seth was so adorable at times and made my heart melt. Seth is honestly a lovable softie and clearly not meant for the world of mafias. Those moments of domesticity between them were fun to read. It led to some hilarious moments, and the banter between them was A++. BUT, seeing them come together, especially Dom, wholly give themselves to one another was so beautiful. He is Mine had all the steam I've come to expect and love from K.A. Merikan's stories.

"That was it. Domenico was the king of the world, the most eligible bachelor of the gay underworld, and the future husband of one Seth Villani, who looked at Dom with so much tenderness everyone could see there was no other man for him."

The action. What can I say? The story takes on such a wild direction in the last 30% that I was literally holding my breath as I kept reading. So engaging and kept me on the edge of my seat. I need to know what is going to happen next! I felt like I was watching John Wick or another action film while reading.

Overall I enjoyed it and can't wait to jump into book three.

“I’ll never find another man like him.”

It’s possible I liked this one better than the first. Filled with the same crazy, dysfunctional relationship, but also so much raw sweetness and vulnerability. The humor!! I had no idea this series was so damn funny...and sexy.

The smell of holy water, dust, and wood mixed with Seth’s sweat and cologne, making the experience of being sprawled on a church floor all the more divine.

This scene. You just have to read it to understand.

Dark. Brutal. Intense.
mario blanco | Tumblr:

... but also a little crazy and very hot!

That description does not only apply to Domenico Acerbi, but also to the book itself. Phew, sometimes it so pays off going with your heart and - most of all - listening to your friends to go on (or in my case probably power through) a series, although the first book was not really a direct hit...

Your reward might be a story that makes you

a bit anxious and keeping your eyes glued to your Kindle
peeking through your fingers at some quite brutal scenes
swallowing with anticipation in regard to what will happen next
flinging the window open in the middle of winter because fanning yourself is not enough
and grinning like a fool.

Yes, all of it. Sometimes parts of it even at the same time. And at the end it leaves you breathless, because the last 20% or so are a hell of a rollercoaster ride...

I won't go into detail because after that ending...
.Steve Boyd:

... I'm really anxious to go on to the next book, but I want to revert to some things that bugged me in the last story:

Yes, there are still a few eye-roll-inducing metaphors in this book, but they are few and far between, so I generously overlooked them this time. ;-)

Although Dom is still my favorite, I really liked Seth in this book. Eventually, he grew a pair of balls and did not behave like a whiny toddler all the time.
Mario Casas - quadruplica, Senhor! o/:

I loved that he talked back and was able to man up when it came to the point.

And - what's most important - I finally felt the connection and chemistry between Dom and Seth, although the ups and downs in their relationship made me quite dizzy. I guess, since I'm still at the beginning of this ride, there are more to come and I should get used to it. I have a feeling that the authors don't want to make this easy. Not for the boys. And not for us.

5 'I love Seth and Domenico' stars

This Part 2 is simply amazing! It filled with romance, sexy smut, crazy jealousy, angst, violence, gore, heart pounding suspense and left me with a tearful and emotional ending!

When I first started this series, I found it weirdly addictive and the mad lust between Seth and Dom was super hot. Is the best kind of m/m smut for the pervy mind. But in this Part 2 there is more romance development and we delved in much deeper in to their feelings for each other. The action and the mafia biz was a bit toned down and we only get into the chaos during the last quarter, but I don't mind it one bit. I just love seeing Seth and Dom started to get lovey dovey together.

What make this series so great is the unpredictability. Is a wild ride that keep me on high alert every single page awaiting what will Seth and Dom do next. Even though I'm familiar with these guys already, they still manage to surprised me. Seth Villani is always such a girl. Honestly, if he is a real woman, I would have label him as a TSTL heroine. But since he is a guy, it makes him such a dear. There is no logic and plain biased on my part.

Domenico is the controlling bastard. But he finally showed his humane side and vulnerability. If I'm on the fence about his character previously, I'm definitely sold now. I'm 100% in love with Dom. I swooned over with the way he is so protective of Seth and willing to make sacrifices even though he always make us think he doesn't care.

One of my favorite scene in the beginning is Dom and his mum, when he was telling her about his relationship with Seth by referring to him as 'Sofia'. He's such a mama boy. I wish to see the day he can bring Seth home and introduce to her. Next would the scene with him washing Seth at the sea. Romantic moment at its finest.

A big portion of the book is about Dom and Seth in New York settling into their blissful domestic life while ignoring the problem at home. It might sounds boring, but Seth and Dom can make a mundane life so damn freaking interesting. And watching them argue over stupid stuff is like watching my favorite soap opera. Bring on the popcorn!

"How the hell was he supposed to do? You can't do that to people!"
"You keep clinging to details whereas the bottom line is, one move of his ass, and you went after him like fucking Hansel to lick the witch's cunt in the gingerbread house."

The action finally came into play when the Family invade their cocooned of privacy in New York and this is when shit meets fan and all hell break loose! Things are freaking intense and I got to witnessed some pretty heartbreaking and touching moments that left me shed a few tears for the guys. With such a heartfelt ending, Merikan left me panting for more of Seth and Dom. I'm freaking worried for their next fiasco!

Recommended for those who love M/M with mafia theme and a whole load of mayhem.

Seth swallowed and put his arms around his lover. "We will find a way to be together."

Domenico smiled at him, and the shadows on his face made his features seem softer than they were. He leaned in and pulled Seth's head against his chest. His heartbeat was frantic like that of a hummingbird.

In He is Mine, book two of the Guns n' Boys series, Domenico Acerbi and Seth Villani head to New York under the guise of continued training and to find the person who leaked family information. For the boys, this time is a honeymoon of sorts since they will be away from Seth’s wife, immediate family demands and other curious eyes.

“You’re the only person I care for here. The only one I can trust. The only one who can actually see who I am.”

During this time, Domenico and Seth learn more about each other and their relationship is tested due to Dom’s past and Seth’s insecurities about relating to their relationship dynamic. While both are committed to each other, they show their love and passion in different ways, with Seth having a more modern casual approach as compared to Dom’s traditional and cultured ways. These differences compliment them as a couple but they do have their moments where they clash leading to a few tumultuous times and deliciously hot kinky sex.

“That’s my wedding gift. Are you ready to take it?” whispered Domenico, slowly massaging Seth’s thighs, softening and relaxing the muscles. “Fuck yeah, since you can’t afford a better one”

“I could afford any piece of beef, but I want this one. A very particular Sicilian breed, you see.” And only the best cut for Mr. Acerbi.”

In addition to the tension and heat between these two fine Sicilians, family tensions continue to rise due to Seth’s appointment as the Don. As displeased factions are plotting to rise in the ranks and placing Seth in danger, Dom feels the pressure of his loyalty to the family and to Seth knowing what is at stake. When it’s time, Domenico reacts the only way he knows how and forces Seth to implement all his training.

“You. You could do it. You have the strength, the respect, the intelligence.”

The time Seth and Dom are able to spend together in New York is crucial to the furtherance of their relationship, as the dimensionality builds to a necessary point and reinforces how strongly they feel for one another. Getting to learn more about Domenico was compelling and reinforced his fiercely protective and possessive approach toward his relationship with Seth. Of course, Dom’s methods may not always be Seth’s preferred choice, but ultimately it felt true to Dom’s nature. My tendency to relate to Dom didn’t waver, but I was also able to appreciate Seth’s carefree personality more. For me, these two characters are addictive because they both love so intensely but also in such unique ways.

Continuing on target, K.A. Merkian’s, narrative qualities are precise, intimate and entertaining with strong character architecture entwined with dark humor and I cannot wait to continue with book three. For those who want to delve into the world of the Sicilian mafia and experience taboo kinky times with two lovable characters, I highly recommend Guns n' Boys!

Oh My God! How am I possibly going to make it to 2015 without Seth and Dom??

I really loved part 1, but part 2 was even better in my opinion. First, I'm going to start with Seth. I know that I complained in the first book that he was a little whiny (well, he was), but I'm cutting him some slack. He's in a life that he doesn't want. He's forced to marry a woman and he's gay. And, he's fallen in love with another man and he's insecure in that relationship as it must be kept secret and he doesn't know how to handle it. Put all that together and I guess he deserves some moments of being a little bitchy. But you know what, after the ending of this book I am absolutely in LOVE with Seth. Seriously, he stepped up like nobody's business and did what he needed to do to help the love of his life. I loved the ending so much because of Seth.

Now, on to Dom. I've always liked him. He's cocky and can be a complete asshole, but he's always had a protective side where Seth was concerned and that made me love him. Even though he wouldn't verbalize his feelings to Seth, you could tell that he was falling for him as time went on. He can be a little overbearing at times. But hey, he just wants the world to know that Seth is his (at least the people that know that they are a couple). Dom proved that he would risk everything for Seth and he was just as awesome as Seth was at the end as well. OMG, the ending was just so good. And I'm not going to lie....there were tears at one point damn it! :)

If you look in Wikipedia under 'it's complicated' you will see pictures of Dom and Seth because let's face it, their relationship is one huge ball of complicated. But I love it and I love them!

I can't wait for the next book! In the meantime, I think I'm going to try and find which one of Aleksandr Voinov's books is about Silvio Spadaro so I can get a little fix in :)

(I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review)

OOOOOO I LOVED this!!

Part 1 one focused on everything..part 2 focuses on Seth & Dom!

Put aside the Violence, Bloodshed, Weapons, Lies and all that other stuff and you will see...no you'll feel a True Love Story coming about.
The writing is so engrossing that I can literally see what i'm reading. (not many books I really try to visualize what's going on but this book did it for me..I didn't even have to 'try').

The 'Boys' are starting to show their little quirks if you will. Not only to us but to each other. Dom is a total JEALOUS (kind of a d*ck) lover & Seth is..what is Seth? He to me was a 'button pusher' for lack of a better word. He knows what kinds of things irk Dom yet he still pushes to get a reaction. Not that how Dom handles things is the right way BUT I think Seth (while might not admit it to Dom) actually likes when he gets a little rough and growly.
We get to go on the 'Honeymoon' with them and watch them fall more in love. Even if someone don't admit it to be love...we know!

Oh let's not forget Doms 'Oh F*ck' moment! My jaw dropped even tho I had thoughts that that was what went down. Once that happened the story went from zero to sixty in no time at all, it action packed for sure.

I was disappointed when it ended only because I have to wait till 2015 sometime to get my greedy little hands on Book 2 (part 1)!!

Ok. I devoured the first 2 books in one go... This is... WOW!!!
I am SO excited that they are at book 8 by now...
These authors... They are the only one who can take a character.. Make him all pathetic and annoying and highly irritating and yet.... You can't help but to love him!

So Dom

description

And Seth

description

Seth is the young son of a don. Like Italian Mafia 'Don'...
He managed to take his distance from this life a few years ago and live an out and proud life in New York.
Except the life is coming back with a vengeance! He's kidnapped by ennemies and this is Dom who arrive to save him!
Dom is the assassin of the family. He pledged his loyalty to the Don and will do everything he asked.

I'm not going to lie. I had a hard time with both MC's at first.
Seth is PATHETIC. I mean, seriously. I just wondered every pages how the guy managed to even stayed alive that long... Whining and whining. And plain stupid!
But then again he never asked for this life. He just want to enjoy and love...

Dom was no better. With his archaic ideas about what a man should be. About most of his reactions or non-reactions! He was frustrating!
But yeah. As usual with these authors. They took these 2 MCs and they create a love story out of nothing. Intense and deep. And this is just the beginning.
They are HAWT!!
I love how little by little they learn about each other.
How Dom slowly begin to understand his behavior is not always the best. How Seth try to find his spine and manage to stand for himself and do what he should do.

Of course there is this thing that should bothered me
But really, who doesn't love a bit of Taboo!! NOT ME!!

description

So. I'm completely hooked here! And I am not stopping until the end!

Holy fuck! Fast paced, smokin' smexy, hotness! Dom and Seth are now lodged firmly in my heart. As this book progresses, you can easily see Dom fall as hard for Seth as Seth had fallen for Dom in part 1. *heart eyes*

And like part 1, this one is gritty and dark and our boys are...morally flexible. Yeah, we'll go with that. There's violence and morally questionable actions taken, but Seth & Dom would kill and/or die for each other. And they get the opportunity to prove it.

That ending!!! Gah! I am glad I have 2 more books at my fingertips (not counting the short in Paris). What a ride.

I love love love Dom in here. In book #1, I hated him. I hated that he treated Seth like dirt, I hated his guts. I just hated him. That 4 stars over there are just for Seth only. I liked him a lot. But all of that changed in book #2. I love them in here. Dom and Seth are one of my favorite couples. Even though the relationship between them kinda toxic... 🥰🥰🥰

The second part of this book was every bit as good as the first. It starts where part one leaves off, again Seth Villani is deep in the middle of something he doesn't want to be, with no way out. At his side is mentor, bodyguard and lover Domenico. The trouble is now they're back on home ground under the watchful eye of the current don and his men. A place where it is not okay to be gay or to fuck another man. Seth's heart is leading him somewhere it is very unsafe to be and he doesn't know who he can trust - not his family and certainly not the man with his heart, Dom.

This book is every bit as dark as the first one and I had no idea who to trust and who not to trust. Not even with regards to the MC's, the tale twisted and turned and loyalties were never as set in stone as they appeared to be. In a culture where even the closest brothers are fools to trust each other Seth is very much alone and fighting against this with all his being. Domenico might be there is person but I don't think even Dom knew where his loyalties lie.

Seth is forced into an arranged marriage with a girl he'd never met. The marriage was deemed to be good for the family so he had no say in it. As much as he dreaded it he could see no way out. His only relief is that he and Dom get to escape back to America for a while after. We know quite clearly Seth's feelings for Dom, despite the fear of being gay and seeing him in this situation, so out of reach of everything he wanted is quite heartbreaking. As well as dealing with this, not understanding Dom's true feelings and trying to be a person he really truly isn't, he has a price on his head.

Dom is the MC who even the reader doesn't quite understand. Until the last page I didn't know how he was going to play out and kudos to the Merikan's for that because sometimes so called twists are in plain sight from page one. I can't wait to read book two of this series and, as I said before, I would highly recommend these. Just be warned, these stories are about as far from sweetness and light as it is possible to get. I savoured every page though.

WARNING: Adult content. If you are easily offended, this book is not for you.
‘Guns n’ Boys’ is a gritty story of extreme violence, offensive language, abuse, and morally ambiguous protagonists. Behind the morbid facade, there is a splash of inappropriate dark humor, and a love story that will crawl under your skin.

Read the warning - but if you dare, read it anyway, the Merikan magic is at work and it is truly fabulous tale.

This review can also be found on my blog: A Match Made in Heaven

I enjoyed this more than book 1. I love how Domenico and Seth's relationship has grown. How I feel like they are now inseparable and forever, but Dom is still possessive and violent. I hope he never loses that. It gives their relationship an edge so that you can never quite relax. And in his own way, it shows how much he needs Seth.

Dom isn't going to use words to tell Seth how he feels. While Seth said the 'L' word near the beginning of this book, it took the whole book and a near-death experience for Dom to say it. Dom is more familiar with sex and violence and those are his best tools. Love doesn't change a man and I wouldn't want him to change.

I love the ending, as Dom puts everything on the line for Seth, leaving them in a very dangerous situation, and leaving Seth to take charge. I can't wait to read the next book and find out what happens next. The blurb says that Dom lost his memories after his injuries, and I am so looking forward to what happens when Dom meets Seth for the first time again. What will his reactions to him be this time? Will it be the same? How confused will he be about his feelings for his brother? I really hope that at some point he finds the pictures that he sewed into the lining of his coat. Perhaps that will be an eye opener for him. I expect to love it either way!
