This is a coffee table book full of beautiful pictures of each province’s portion of of the Trans Canada Trail, with a brief overview of the route of the trail in each province. There is one small map of the whole country, and more maps would have been helpful. There is a list of each community that the trail goes through in each province and territory. Some of the photographs are not from the trail and some areas are giving more photographs then others. Some areas are not even represented. Probably due to the lack of time, effort, money, and/or will to go out and get them. Still not a bad book for those who want to get a general overview.

This amazing book is the official book for the Trans Canada Trail, the longest recreational trail in the world at 16,000+ km. The photos are brilliant and this is unbeatable for a coffee table book that has been picked up time and time again by guests to my home. I read it through with great pleasure and sometimes, when it is raining buckets outside, this book is an easy read transporting you to a segment in this amazing trail.
