Candy is a curvy girl with bad experiences when it comes to guys. When a stranger is checking her out she is suspicious to what he wants from her. Will she get to know his agenda?

The story was exiting and fun and the writing style is easygoing and a joy to read. I felt like the characters are well described and I got to know them fairly well.

As always with a short story like this there is something missing to make it a 5 star, but by reading the next books in this collection I hope it will be there. It's a strong 4 stars!

One thing is for sure though, I liked the book a lot and I will read the next book and the next, and the next and..............

It took me a long time to finish, at first I was like plus size yes someone gets it. But this Candy has some really bad self-esteem issues she never thinks she is pretty and always puts her self down. Now I know that a lot of people feel this way but not a lot of people who work in fashion I would assume who are larger and on advocate for large people would feel this way about themselves. She kind of makes me feel bad about myself because I'm a larger woman. She works so hard to get the weight off, how can she not see her own self worth.

Ok so when she does let loose she then feels bad about it???
"i'm so upset at myself. How can I have fallen for person I know so little about... Especially when Vince's drama is still ringing in my ears? God, why couldn't I have resisted Max more?"

The only other part I thought was weird was he apparently he was texting her all morning and half the afternoon. Then she walked into the boardroom and there he was. Not once did they mention any texting before that. Made me shake my head.

So all in all I enjoyed the first book I'm not sure if I'll buy the second book, only because she was so down her self. If I'm going to read a book about a plus size girl I would hope you have a little bit more confidence in herself.

This is the third series I have read by Scarlett so far and I think this one is my favorite! It has scorching scenes like is Ms. Avery’s style, but it is also much more relatable.

Candy is a big girl. She has lost some weight, but is still curvy, like many of us women. She has a hard time feeling beautiful as well as meeting men. Luckily, she has a super awesome support system of friends.

A chance encounter at a local deli leads to so much more.

“I’ve been consumed all week by the sexy stranger Lia and I met over brunch. I’ve tried my best to shake him off, but it’s been impossible to erase his seductive smile.”

After a second meeting with her sexy stranger, he’s not such a stranger anymore and the attraction between them is HOT!

“From the way your body is responding to me I’d say, you’ve been waiting for me your entire life.”

However, a twist at the end that I certainly didn’t expect left me hanging. I need the next installment immediately. I am loving this series and can’t wait to read more! ~ Tiffany, 4.5 stars

Cute story but...

This was a cute story and it was done tastefully considering it was about a curvy female (which I happen to be). The plot was interesting (so far) and the characters were likable and fun. Candice and her friends were great and had me smiling and Max was charming and sexy.
Since it was a novella it didn't get into Max and Candy's relationship since they first got together at around the 80% mark.
The only issue I had with the story was that some things felt repetitive to me and over descriptive. Also the dialogue felt a bit juvenile at times. And it didn't really leave such a lasting impression on me to make me HAVE to continue on ASAP and read more from this series. I'd have to think about it a little more but I think eventually I would read the others.

O.M.G. She's at it again. Another triumph for Scarlett Avery!!! You can just fall right into this story. Being a big lady myself - I can relate. What a fun adventure. Candy meets Max. What a twosome. She is a bit put off by her big figure and the types of guys she has been romantic with but when she meets Max - wow!!! Sparks fly. He loves big girls and Candy in particular. They have an evening that will rock your socks and wet your panties and leave you drooling. The next time she meets up with him - she believes he was playing her but he challenges her and then.......well - just read it and get carried away as Scarlett does on a regular basis. You will love this series just like you love all of her raunchy, delectable and so far out there previous series. Love this woman. She is so realistic and tells it how we love it. Five stars all the way.

There aren't enough stars!!

I'd read everything Scarlett has graced us with. Being a BBW myself I was excited to hear she was writing about one. Candy has self respect and won't take shit lying down.

She's a strong woman that has a great job and it's about to get interesting at work.

Max sounds like he's sex on a stick and I'm sure we learn more in book two and will love him like her other male leads.

I cannot wait for book two.

Scarlett give us lovable strong lead characters with great back stories and great secondary characters that make her the whole package!!

Love love love Scarlett. Off to stalk her for more info.

I just finished Curves Envy and it was a good read. Candace is a curvaceous girl. She has lost a lot of weight and is feeling good about life. However the guy that she hooks up with has ruined it at the moment. He's married. He had told her that he was single. She's done. What she doesn't expect is to meet Max. He hot and mysterious but now she is more insecure than what she started with. This was a quick sexy read and I can't wait for more!

Hi my name is Lisa and I'm addicted to Scarlett Avery's books.. Being BBW myself this book shows the insecurities and issues women have with lying cheating men. (the old one bad egg spoils the dozen type of scenario) Can Candy believe what Max is saying or is he just another lying cheater. Read this book you won't regret it. Scarlett I can't wait for book 2.

You have to work for it

To be honest the first few chapters was really slow. The background is always appreciated but it's enough to make you want to chuck it. I persevered and was rewarded with a very interesting story overall. Hated the way it ended but I will go on to the next book in the series. Hopefully thrills continue

Loved that the very sensual Candy meets her alpha dream man Max. After having botched up relationships before it's nice to see a man who appreciates her for herself and not trying to make her into something she's not.

Dangerous Curves Ahead 🔥🔥🔥

Candy is a BBW woman who's bit unsure of herself but Max sees her curves as a plus. Sexual tensions keep ramping up and this pair may just combust.

Candy is a BBW who has body-type issues and is apparently very sexy, but not so good at reading men. We meet her with a pilot who she's been seeing weekly for steamy sex... then it turns out he's married and not a pilot and she's crushed. I'm not sure why this is relevant, but it's a series so who knows.

At brunch with a friend, she sees this hot guy checking her out and while she doesn't get to know him, he's clearly attracted enough that he buys their breakfast. But no names are exchanged and he suggests that he eats there weekly at the same time. Hmmm.

She is supposed to meet a cousin (who doesn't sound so nice) for drinks and a hot and hip bar in a hotel and lo and behold she runs into brunch hottie, Max, who agrees to have a drink with her while she waits for her cousin, who eventually doesn't make it.

Turns out he's wealthy, half Brazilian, and really into curvy girls. They have some super sexy times together and they exchange numbers. Next day at the office (where she's the editor for the plus size section of a magazine) attends a meeting and lo and behold Max is there because he owns three plus size fashion lines. He then blackmails her into taking on an assignment that requires her to travel with him.

And that's just part 1. I actually liked the beginning with Vince and Leonardo, but am unsure what the point of Vince was. The pacing of this was really slow in the beginning, but I'm hoping we'll get more sexy times and faster pacing in the next part.

This isn't for me.

I couldn't get into this in the least and ended up quitting early.

There is a crazy influx of BBW novels out there today and while I like it when they acknowledge that many women who have some flesh on them have self esteem issues it really does come down to the character's personality. Candy was not someone I could like; everything about her screamed desperate. Desperate, psychologically damaged girls or women really need THAT THING to help you get past their characterization or plot background or they just don't work. Fighting demons is great but you have to want a character to win. I couldn't even care about Candy's game.

Since this is an episodic, or many part novella, I needed this story to take off faster and to have a staying pace. It was disconnected and at times awkward in the emotional atmosphere. Other times it was overwhelming with a lot of information. No one likes too much exposition. Along with Candy being a disappointing heroine, I couldn't get on board with the big hugfest portion of the story that needed to be completely edited for content. Her friends felt shallow to me and their background with her was rather flat.

I will not be purchasing anything more in this series. Perhaps this author will have something more appealing to me in the future. I need storycrafting and storytelling that is a great deal more promising that this.

"Honey, I'm not fate, I'm so freaking sexy it overflows,"

This is the first of a four part series. I love mini-series and this one starts off finger banging good! Yes, curvy girls can have fun and I love it.

Candice Westerman has been choosing the wrong men. She a big girl, although she's lost 90 lbs since she promised her grandmother she would take care of herself. Candy fights with low self esteem. She has had a love-hate relationship with her body, she doesn't see past her curves and continues to pick the wrong men. Candy has focused a lot on her career and is now a successful plus-size editor at Sassy magazine. She also has some pretty awesome friends, who are willing to drop everything to stand by her side. I don't want to forget about Leanardo DiCaprio, her beautiful white Turkish Angora who also loves her unconditionally.

After Candy's last man fiasco, she's grown weary of men and their intentions. After a brief encounter with a man during lunch with a friend, she finds herself running into him again and flashing him at a bar. Things heat up fast. Maximiliano Tomas Adrian Keller has Candy quickly melting in his arms. The story burns up the pages with Max's controlling ways and dirty mouth. Will this one time encounter be enough when Max's secret is revealed? We'll have to wait till book 2 to find out!

YO CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE HALF BRAZILIAN/HALF AMERICAN DUDE IN THIS BOOK?!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Like, his name is MAXIMILLIANO. How fucking hot is that?! In my mind I'm reading this like he has a thick Brazilian accent, even though he's American. And do you know what makes this book even better? He's lusting after a girl who seems to be about the size that I am now. Yes. Please. And then that whole thing where he's pleasuring her in a hotel VIP room with the chance of someone coming in and seeing them?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

What is it with me and like doing it in public places and voyeurism? Like, I find that so hot for some odd reason. What is wrong with me!? AM I NUTS?!

But anyways, this wasn't awful. And the twist at the end was actually pretty A+. Plus, that dude is HOT AF.

Candice Patricia Westerman is a 24 year old curvy woman who works for a women's magazine as the editor of the plus size sector of the magazine's online and offline content. When we meet her she's finding out the man she considers her boyfriend is a married man whose wife turns up on her door... Candy has a minor meltdown and at brunch with her friend she makes eye contact with a handsome stranger, but on the back of her previous experience with men Candy isn't about to get caught up in this sexy stranger. A chance meeting finds her face to face with Maximiliano Tomás Adrian Keller, the handsome stranger from brunch. The Sparks fly and the two share an intimate encounter, but the next day she finds out that Max is a billionaire and knew all along who she was... Candy faces a moral dilemma does she work with this man she's been intimate with or allow him to walk away and take his business to one of their competitors?

I enjoyed this book, it was short and sweet and the characters are relatable, I look forward to the next instalment in this series.

Candy has had one bad relationship after another one and she believes its due to her curvy body. No one likes curvy girls. Especially after the last one lied and turns out he was married. Candy friends to the rescue to shake off her unfortunate bad relationship. Morning after too much to drink, Lia and Candy decides to go to breakfast. This is where she meets a sexy stranger that has been staring and smiling at her all morning. Sexy stranger pays for their breakfast and explain it was a joy t watch her.

Days goes by and Candy can't keep her mind off this sexy stranger. Candy is meeting her cousin with model type body which she hasn't seen in 18 months at this new hot spot in NYC. As Candy arrives off the elevator she looks down to text Trish her cousin a message of her arrival when a text from Dev her friend pop up and before she looks up she bumps into someone and drops her phone scrambling now she looks up and see the sexy stranger. And after that things heat up. His name is Maximiliano Keller Brazalin hottie.

Candy has not had the best of luck with men. When you read the first couple of chapters in this book you will be laughing and crying at the same time. Her sex life is such a disaster it cannot help but be funny.

The Curve Envy series poses the age old question - are there men out there who actually love a curvy girl? By curvy we do not mean size 12 either! We are talking Jennifer Lopez size derriere, Kardashian hips, and a rack in the double D's. Being a curvy girl myself, I have to disclose the fashion pendulum is swinging our way girls!

In this first installment, Candy actually meets the man who will change her life. I love Max! He should be the man we hold as the patron saint of curvy girls. We should make more men follow his lead. He is dominant, but not a Dom. He is a sex God and has the stamina that only great fiction can grant.

Yes, this is the great beginning to a series that will have you panting in your dreams!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is my first series by Scarlett Avery, but it definitely won't be the last. I'm glad I waited until the entire series was released before reading though, because the cliffhangers would've left me grumpy and anxious for the next installment.

Candy isn't the skinny, model-thin type of girl. She has curves, and the shallow people she's had experiences with have caused her self confidence to suffer. She had finally found a man who convinced her he loved her body only to find out he had a pregnant wife at home. After that, Candy has resigned herself to thinking that no handsome, successful man would want to be with a girl like her.

Then she meets the mysterious Max. He claims to want her but she can't trust him enough to believe him. Especially after discovering the secrets he's kept from her. He wants a chance to explain...will she give it to him? We have to wait until the next book to find out.

Love it!!! As a fellow full figure woman I can understand where Candy is coming from. It's so great to have a book that celebrates us (cause we are not all size single digits)

Candy has the WORSE taste in men but Vincent takes the cake (an we all know someone that has had to deal with bs like that, smh). She is slowly getting her confidence back so she doesn't have the time for the foolishness. A chance encounter at vanilla bean and he can't keep his eyes off of her. The rest of the story.....

There was some parts that was a bit much, but I understand the need to build the back story. Some things did repeat a lot.

The characters....love them!!! I love love love Candy's support team. Her friends rock! And to have that makes everything great! And maximilio.....holly hotness Batman!!!! OMG!!

I can't wait for book 2!

Wow definitely a four plus read. It is so nice to read about woman that are big breasted with luscious curves, who have issues with how they look because there are a lot of us out there like that, who can really relate to this book, insecurities, self esteem and the total jerks that make woman feel insecure.
Candice is such a woman with all these issues, after the death of her parents food is her solace and her wonderful friends are the only things that keep her sane. Her inability to meet some one that appreciates her leaves her not trusting men. Her unexpected meeting of a tall handsome sexy man still leaves her feeling that she is not good enough. How does Maximiliano Keller prove to her he's the real deal and just wants her. This book has a cliff hanger ending and now I can wait to find out what happens. I WANT MORE PLEASE SCARLET !!!!!!!!
